Like others commented on, it did have a bad smell, had to wash it 3 times before I could wear it. It fits nice, the buttons are hard to do up. It is very cute with a light turtleneck underneath.

Like the color but it doesn't have a gusset in the back so it feels tight across the shoulders when I move.

The shirt is nice looking, but runs on the larger size. I normally wear a size petite medium and this was more like a petite large or extra large. The buttons were hard to unbutton when I went to try it on. Had to return.

No buttons on the color end. That is what a "button down" is.

I didn't care for the shape of the pockets or the flaps. Looked like a men's shirt but not in the way I hoped. I love an oversized men's shirt and I hate it when they take away or make pockets too small, but I think this could be improved. Also, both dark and medium denim are darker than I expected and they are lacking any character like RL's hand sanded denim.

It's cute but smelled so bad. I've washed 3 times and I've almost got all the smell out of it.

I was somewhat disappointed in the color and fit for me.

I am disappointed in the cotton used in creating this blouse. The design and quality of workmanship is very good, but this is an "IRON is needed" blouse. No matter how you dry this blouse...you iron it prior to wearing it...line dry or dried in home dryer on a light cycle...the blouse is wrinkled and needs not just a touch up, but an old fashioned ironing prior to wear.

Color was very dark indigo--maybe it will lighten up with washing? I returned it due to fit, which was nondescript, not especially flattering, and also I didn't like the rounded, narrow collar style. I was looking for a more traditional denim shirt to use over tee shirts.

I love LL Bean and ALMOST everything I order. This shirt is a disappointment. It is a heavier fabric than I hoped for, making it feel more like a jacket than a shirt. But I particularly dislike the white facing that shows at the neckline. Too late to return because I've already washed it. It will be a work shirt to wear at home -- not what I purchased it for.

Since the material has a nice weight, I had hoped to be able to layer. However, the sleeves are too tight in the upper arm to accommodate even a t-shirt underneath.

Just got this today-nice fabric, medium weight, beautiful color (med. indigo), good length on sleeves, comfortable fit at collar & hips, not baggy, nice cut. I'm average build, somewhat muscular at chest/shoulders. Problem across the shoulders: snug when raising my arms right at shoulders & across shoulder blades-not comfortable so I'm returning it. I'd recommend it with a caveat that if you're broadshouldered this might not work for you.

While its a nice shirt, it is heavier than i like. The fabric is heavy and thick and too thick for some of us who are hot all the time.

I have this shirt in the striped material. I love it. I ordered the same size in the camel color too big ? Wish it was because I lost weight but no. I hate returning things so I'll live with it as a shirt over something else.

It's a nice shirt however i had to send it back. The color was way off. I ordered the light indigo and it wasnt what i was hoping for... too dark. It was also a little boxy but it was well made.

It is a nice design but since it is all cotton fabric and has some thick seams on the shoulders it doesn't have much for give (which is probably to be expected ). I found the medium was too tight around the shoulders/ upper arms and restricted my movement too much. A large was too bulky and not flattering, so I returned both.

The shirt I received measured 44" around the bottom edge and bagged out in the rear. I ordered small petite, but do not consider a 44" circumference for hips to be small or petite. I have bought fewer Bean shirts in the past year due to other shirts also bagging out too much for a small petite-sized person. Please adjust your sizing going forward and don't assume that all your customers are getting heavier these days.

I like everything about it EXCEPT the flap pockets. When working in the orchard or the garden, I frequently - and briefly - have to stick something in a breast pocket and retrieve it quickly. The flap gets in my way every time. Keeping it simple is what I need in a work shirt.

I would order another shirt if not for the white seam tape on the inside of the collar and the sleeve cuffs. I feel like the collar has to be buttoned up all the time (and sleeves not rolled up) to hide this ugly white tape.

The material was very stiff. It was true to size, unlike some of the sweaters I purchased.

I have bought these denim shirts for many years as my outside go to work/overshirt. Bought two different colors for this season. Well, sad to learn that Bean, like so many other companies, has gone the way of Same Price- Lesser Quality. This is no longer a "denim" shirt but lighter, more like what one would call chambray. Not only is the fabric thinner, but the fit is snugger no longer the fit of a comfortable overshirt! I'll keep them- they're here and returns via mail are a hassle, but will wash in cold water and hang to dry as I do not want any shrinkage the fit will then be more like a tailored shirt.

This was slightly heavier and rougher in appearance stitching, etc. than I expected. It's okay quality, but is just more relaxed than I was looking for. Instead of returning it, I have made it a gardening shirt.

Nice color, good quality, but after washing in cold water and low dryer temperature the pocket flaps came out flipped up even being buttoned. It is hard to press a denim shirt on the pockets, they shouldn't be like this. Must be something with the stitching ?

Shirt was ok but too tight in shoulder area and moving arms yet around body had too much room. I do like clothing to be a tad on the loose side. I would have like to wash and dried to see if body fit shrunk some and then I'd order a large but no need to try seeing how the shoulder area was tight already without washing and drying.

The color shown in the pic is significantly different than what I received. So much that I requested an exchange thinking I received the wrong color. I received this same shirt three different times and each time the same dark color. The picture shows a lighter denim color, and that is not what I received. Love the shirt. Hate the color.
