I wear this mainly as an over shirt right now with white pants and striped t shirt...good for a casual Friday at work. The sleeve length is perfect but since I bought a medium, I won't tuck it in. I love it and am very happy with the purchase.

Back in the day we wore our boyfriends' chambray shirts that were very similar to this (they came with pearlized snaps) and we would embroider them with colorful designs. :) I was excited to finally get my own! The denim is very soft and fits closer to the body, but not too tight. However, if you prefer shirts on the roomier side, I would size up.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a denim shirt with pockets that fits comfortably. Well made. Superior to other brands I've tried.

I love this shirt. It is a little heavier weight so it's great for the cooler weather. I purchased to wear as a lightweight jacket or for use in the colder months instead of a sweater. It was worth the wait as it was back ordered. I find it true to size.

This shirt is PERFECT! Size is spot-on, the color is lightly washed without any of that tacky fake looking bleached effect. The fabric is mid-weight. I'll wear it as a light jacket or just as a shirt. I'm sure I'll get years and years of use out of this one, and it will age gracefully.

Bought this denim shirt with high hopes it would serve my needs and I was not disappointed! Fit is great, xlarge gives me room to layer, material and workmanship is terrific. Very satisfied!

Very comfortable, great quality, stylish, a shirt that I will probably still be wearing 5 years from now.

I wear either a small or x-small in Bean shirts and ended up exchanging for an x-small as the small seemed over-sized. That said, the x-small still allows for a light layer underneath. Nice detailing with the pockets, pieced side vents and mini LL Bean label on the shirt tail. Sleeve length is perfect, too.

Classic, attractive denim shirt, with substantial weight, great for layering. Had been looking for a shirt like this for a long time. It's long, which I prefer, and fits well, not too tight. Sure wish L.L. Bean would provide one like it for my husband.

I am very fond of denim and chambray shirts, but many of them are of disappointing quality fabrics. This one is old-style quality fabric, as well as being retro-styled. I'm expecting a lot of wear from this shirt and i'm tempted to get another.

Last one I had was getting completely worn10+ Years!! It had been discontinued! This one is great!! Sleeves are a tad long because it doesn't come in a petite size, but I'm so happy to have it brought back I can adjust!! Can't find this style of denim over shirt anywhere else!! I frequently throw it over short sleeve/sleeveless tops when I go to too cool casual restaurants or outdoor evening events. Goes with anything!

I purchased two shirts in my size based on the favorable reviews. I love the shirts.They are my favorites, are easy to wash and lightly dried on low heat just to reduce wrinkles because I don't like ironing. The shirts look great, all the time.

I've been looking for a denim shirt for years just like the one my husband has had for years. This shirt is well made and it'll last for years. I purchased a size larger so I could use it as a light jacket over a shirt. Love my new denim shirt. Buy it before it's gone. Well worth the regular price.

This is a high quality shirt. The fit is forgiving and flattering. The material is substantial and it launders well. I am really glad I bought this one! I would love one in a slightly darker shade!!

Not easy to find this "original" jean shirt anymore ... the weight/fabric is perfect! When I saw it on Bean, I was thrilled & ordered immediately!!! Love, love, LOVE this shirt!

This is a great quality denim shirt to include in ur wardrobe! Ordering online can be a strategic guess sometimes so I was stoked that the S fits perfect! It's a little loose, not skintight so I'm able to wear another layer underneath or not. I do wonder if an XS would've fit me too?

This denim shirt is perfection! I have been looking for the "right" ladies denim shirt and this is it. The fabric is soft but substantial, goes through the washer and dryer without shrinking or wrinkling, and is so comfortable. It is roomy enough to layer over a Henley or T-shirt, but also quite comfortable on its own. Thank you LLBean!

I was very happy to see this classic shirt back at L.L.Bean. This is a true all season shirt. I bought one size up for a very relaxed fit and so I could wear over a tee shirt in the winter. Needs very little ironing, and after washing and ironing a few times, it may not need any ironing at all. A great shirt.

This is a lovely shirt. The material has a nice feel to it and the shirt is very comfortable. I like the fact that L.L. Bean offers this shirt in a denim color which is hard to find. Excellent sizing as well.

This is the denim shirt I've been searching for! So many denim shirts are too light weight, too fitted, just plain flimsy. This shirt is a nice weight without being too heavy and stiff. It fits like the LL Bean "women's scotch plaid flannel" shirt which I also love. I'm considering buying another denim shirt for when I wear this one out.

This shirt is perfect for fall, winter and springtime. The fit is comfortable to move around in - just right. I love the fit descriptions of "slightly fitted" or "relaxed fit" so I know which to order. I usually order a Large in relaxed fit and XL if it's slightly fitted. This shirt is great over a t-shirt.

I love this beautiful, well made, classic shirt. I wore one like it threadbare years ago and have been looking for a replacement since. I washed the shirt in cold water, added fabric softener to the rinse cycle, and then placed it in the dryer on cold air tumble to shake out what few wrinkles there were. I am online today ordering a second to keep "tucked away." A shirt like this comes along but "once in a blue moon." I don't want to wait for the next blue moon to finally find it, again.

I've had thinner,flimsy denim shirts but this one is thicker material and holds up nicely after washing. Loose enough to wear t-shirt under. Nice buy...

I love this shirt, washes well, no shrinkage in the dryer even when my husband runs it on med high heat. Sometimes I need a 1X, but not in this shirt. It's one of my favorite "chambray type" shirts, but it's a little heavier weight than some chambrays. Would like to see It in other colors.
