This sweater is much more attractive than I expected. It has a flattering fit and the wool is very high quality with a nice feel to it. I highly recommend.

I wear these under scrubs during the winter. Just enough warmth to keep the chill off but not overheat while running around providing care - double duty for a warm layer when off duty too! I find the wool not to be itchy and so much more comfortable than anything polyester. They wash up nicely on a gentle cycle in cool water, hang dry. Still hoping for them to trend away from thumb holes in almost every dang shirt they are making for women right now...for now, I just fold the sleeve back a bit.

Loved this baselayer. Wore it in the Canadian Rockies in freezing temps and felt warm, dry and comfy.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Love love love LLBean 250 cresta wool for cold weather sports. I only need to wear this with a light weight down jacket and I am warm. It’s nothing special when it comes to style so I layer it. I have some 150 cresta and it’s too thin.

These are great layers when there are brisk winds or just cold days. I liked them so much that I bought two different colors in the mid weight options. I had bought two size mediums a few years ago and the size still fits well for me.

love the midweight crew top. I tend to get cold easily and this top is perfect. The material looks classy enough to wear alone with jacket or sweater. Highly recommend!!

Perfect base layer, neither too warm or cool. Regulated my body temperature beautifully on a trip to the BWCA area in Northern Minnesota during February snow showers and brisk cold temps. I do photography and this kept me warm under a snow bib and parka.

With me L.L.Bean can be hit or miss. Their sizing can be off for me at times. I tend to have better luck with another company. But I decided to purchase these baselayers from L.L.Bean. I purchased a small regular size for the top and a medium regular for the bottoms. The sleeves were a little long for me. I am normally a petite in sizes. With a petite, the sleeves always fit me better. I wished that they made the tops in petite sizes. The bottoms are fine. They come up higher on the waist and I like that. Perhaps L.L.Bean can think about making these merino wool baselayers in petites as well. They should make both the top and bottoms in petites. Also more colors would be nice. So I wore my baselayers today and they held up well. It was very cold here in The Northeast. I was heavily layered. So when I got home, I was sweating but the merino wool material quickly absorbed the moisture. Actually, these baselayers feel nice to lounge around in also. I also read some reviews where people said that the material was itchy. I get where they are coming from. I did not have a noticeable feeling of itchiness but I could tell that this material could be a little itchy. It's just the way it feels. Now I own other merino wool baselayers (we actually called them long johns back in the day:) and with my other merino wool baselayers, I have NEVER EXPERIENCED ITCHINESS. So I do not know if there are different types of merino wool, maybe some can be itchy. Maybe better quality means less itchiness?

Very nice midweight layer; good price for a 100% merino wool shirt. I am 5'2", 115 lbs and the XS fits perfectly.

My favorite shirt. I have three and wear them all winter long as a base layer. I'm usually cold and these tops really help offset the cold and dampness of winter. They never smell and wash very nicely. Only the cuffs show wear after a couple of years. I am 5'7 and 118 pounds and purchased a small. Fits fine

Machine washed well in cold water no shrinkage. Sometimes S is a bit snug on me, but this top is fine. True to size.
Haven't had the chance to test it for a cold layer yet, but it seems to be what I wanted.
The thumb holes are fine if you twist the sleeve a bit.

This is the only base layer I buy now. They are warm, comfortable, and last forever. Not cheap, but absolutely worth the money in this case.
