Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Pros: Perfect flattering fit - not too fitted but not too loose (5'6 ordered Medium, 38C), 100% wool that is warm without being itchy. The exact type and style of base layer I was looking for, I just wish there were more colors!

I'm in Antarctica and I'm wearing it right now. It's the right weight to keep me warm and a good mix of cozy and soft. It's a good value compared to some other wool tops I've bought. The sleeve length is fine, but I can't comfortably use the thumb holes, so maybe the sleeves could be a bit longer. Anyway, I'm very happy with it.

Love this shirt. I have a number of merino wool tops from a variety of labels and this one is one of the softest and most comfortable.

The fit was perfect and I felt warm wearing it while camping in low- to mid-50s weather at night.

I love this shirt! Have worn it over a thin base layer or as a base layer itself. Also works over a T-shirt as an outer layer for 50 degree days. Soft, non-pilling, not itchy, and doesn't have snags even after wearing it to prune roses! Fit is a big improvement over one I got a couple of years ago (a bit slimmer, tails are longer and the neck hole is just right to keep you warm). Would love some brighter colors!

Great fit! Absolutely love that it's 100% wool (seems rare to find nowadays). The feel of the fabric is amazing, and the anti-odor wool properties are the real deal. Didn't have access to laundry during a week-long trip and used the shirt for several sweat-inducing hike and ski outings, and it still barely smelled. Will definitely purchase again!

I wore this as a base layer for my winter trip to Yellowstone. Minus 17 degrees. Comfortable. Was able to wear multiple times. Very satisfied with item. I had bought 2 tops and the corresponding bottoms. Never got cold.

This was a great purchase. Lives in this with 10-20 degree weather and it was perfect. There is a slight itchy-ness to the material but not unbearable!

I got this for Christmas. It is my go to sweater for everything! It has a hole probably due to a moth and I want a new one so I have bought 3 more!!

Nice and warm for milder winter weather, i.e.s 20-30 degrees. Love the thumbholes so if gloves slip down or jacket sleeve slips up skin is not exposed.

Fabric feels good against my skin and isn't so thick as to feel bulky under a sweater.

Love the warmth and softness! Wear it every day, so will need another one! The color is beautiful and I'm able to keep my heat down indoors as I wear it under my usual clothing during winter. Have worn it for XC skiing and hiking too and I stayed so warm!!

I bought 2 in this weight and 2 in the lighter weight. They are just what I needed to replace some older synthetic layers. I wish they were a couple inches longer but this length is doable. I can wear them a few days in a row and they still feel and smell wearable. In LLBean tops I vary between a medium and large and I needed to go with a large in these shirts.

I'm on my second one of these shirts, after I thoroughly wore out the first one. It's become a must-have staple whether for extra coziness on chilly nights at home, as a layering piece when I'm out and about town, or as a base layer when I go out snowshoeing.

Originally bought a set last year and loved them so much I bought more when they went on sale. Wicked warm. Washes well. Very comfortable. My favorite color.

This base layer is very soft and warm, and the fit is close to the skin but not tight at all. The gray color with blue accent is lively.

Wonderful weight and cut for a 250-weight merino. Love the side seam details. Love the cut; love the length; love the neckline. I bought this shirt in all the colors offered. The affordable price is a bonus.

I love this mid weight baselayer! It's thick enough to wear alone, yet substantial enough to serve as a warm layer under a pullover and jacket. I had tried the 250-weight merino from another brand and it struck me as thin. It developed bald spots and holes very quickly, which was disappointing for the price it cost. This Bean Cresta is a much better baselayer! The exposed seaming is an attractive detail, along with the thumb holes. The neck band sits sufficiently high and without gapping that would allow cold air to slip in while cycling in the cold. It also washes up nicely and doesn't shrink. I hung mine up to dry, rather than machine-drying it. I like this mid-weight layer so much that I bought it in all three colors. I appreciate the price point, as well. The other 250-weight retails for about $150, while this better option retails for $79. Thanks, Bean! This is a better mid-weight merino baselayer for a far better price.
