Christmas present from my husband 2024 and I love it! This is the first time wearing the crests wool medium weight base layer. I fell in love with it. I wore it 3 days in a row and realized that I could wear this as a shirt daily in the winter. I am definitely buying more colors! It is so soft and breathable. I am warm but not overly warm. This is a fantastic product that I highly recommend.
I do not like snug fitting clothes so I opted for a medium.

Soft warm for winter nights in Colorado. I use it as PJ top. Its long sleeves are actually long enough for hands holding a book in bed. The only thing is it can feel prickly at times. Not a deal breaker for me.

These are my favorite L. L. Bean product. They are my go to base layer for cross country skiing. They also layer well under jeans when walking around town. I used them as PJs when hiking the 100 Mile Wilderness in October. Wool is naturally resistant to odor and so it is great for backpacking and performance wear.
These hold up well. After 5 years of heavy wear, there were a few runs in the legs and then tears in the knee after 6 years of heavy wear. My second pair looks like new after four years of wear. L. L. Bean has improved the product by making the waist band thicker, which helps keep the pants in place for layering. I miss the old blue print you had in 2018bring it back, L. L. Bean, but with dark navy sleeves instead of ivory so it wears better over time. Also, skip the contrasting piping. A more uniform color scheme makes the base layer look more like a shirt and less like underwear if you shed a layer at lodge or lean to. Also, it would be nice to have this product at L. L. bean in children's sizing. Until then, Oakie has wool base layers for children.

I Love this under layer because of it being all wool that is what makes me feel warm and comfortable all day long!

I wanted an extra warm under shirt for outdoor activities and this worked perfectly. I sat at an outdoor sports game for 2 hours, temperature was 32F and I felt warm and cozy.

Was looking for more base layers as I've just recently moved to a colder location. This works well under clothing and sweaters. Adds warmth but not bulk

I already have this base layer in a small which fits me a little on the snug side, so I tried this one in a medium, which I do prefer the looser fit, even though it's a base layer. I wear the 250 weight on the coldest days in the winter while I'm outside walking and the 150 weight all winter, even indoors. I machine wash them in cold water and hang to dry. Love them all. Thank you L.L. Bean for your quality products!

These shirts are warm and not itchy. I use them as a base for snowmobiling. They are thin so they fit nicely under another layer. I also wear them around the house in the winter to stay warm. I just then wear them as a shirt. I fortunately had a gift card because the price is a bit high IMHO. I likely would not have tried them without that incentive but with luck they will last a good long time. I wash in cold water and hang dry just in case because they are wool.

I ordered a Medium weight and it's my new favorite shirt - so comfortable, not itchy, not too warm, and washes so well. I'm ordering several more!

This is a very comfortable top. I is warm, breathable, not itchy and can be machine washed. I just wish it was less expensive so I could buy many more! XL fit well. I am 5'9" and 160 pounds. The sleeves were not too short, but could have been an inch longer.

I had formerly purchased the cresta midweight 250 pants that match this and now I have this matching top. It keeps me exceptionally warm. Cold winter wind can not not penetrate these. The merino wool is of fine quality and is never itchy. Love that it is a high crew neck too. Fits perfectly. Wearing these under my clothes keeps me warm but not sweaty.

I bought this top mostly for cold and wet weather running. It's fantastic. Comfortable fit, excellent performance keeping my temperature regulated even when damp.

When I put this on for the first time, I worried that it would be itchy. I have the bottoms and did not find the same to be true of them, so I decided to give the top a fair shot. Once out on the trail, I did not even think of my base layer. I was warm and comfortable. I did not feel itchy at all. So if at first you think, "oh no these are uncomfortable", just give them a try.

Love the top, so soft and comfortable, however, I do wish there was an option for tall. The sleeves are just not long enough for women 5'7" or taller

Petfect fit, yarn comfy, soft, not itchy at all. It's not bulky and great for layering...warm, warm, warm. Love the blue color. Also works well as a stand alone top with leggings or jeans. Very nicely crafted. It's the fourth one I've bought!

The shirt fits perfectly as I expected because it is my second one. I wore it to Alaska in the winter under a fleece and a vest and was warm. (It was a bit mild for Alaska). Great product! I wear it now on many chilly/windy days with a fleece and vest so I don't need a jacket. (I live an hour south of Albany, NY). It is also easy to discard layers when I'm working outside with the horses. I still have a warm shirt on.
