I bought these shorts because I have both the long length and the capri length. They fit well and are very comfortable.

Let me start with the fact that I do like these shorts. You are able to have two different lengths which I appreciate when the weather gets hot. It is very easy to roll them up and snap them to the shorter length. The draw back is that they must be ironed. For a pair of every day casual shorts I did not expect that. And I have a very casual lifestyle and am not in any way a perfectionist. But they look terrible unless I iron them. The hem curls up and the fabric crinkles all over. The fabric is different from other Llbean shorts I have purchased in the past. So I do iron them and they then they look good. If you know that going into it you can decide if it is worth the effort

Very soft fabric and I like the style. Based on reviews, I went with the extra large. Too big, felt like there was just too much material. I realized that I am a much bigger fan of high rise vs mid so I will be returning. I am 5'3", about 180 pounds and curvy.

I really want to like these shorts. I have more than one pair, but I am tired of ironing them. Unless you do, the cuffs look sloppy when you snap them up. Even when I work at it, the backs don't keep their neat fold once I sit. My sister has them as well and they always look perfect. She said that she irons and starches them. Ugh. Too much work.

Well made but for me I don't like the flared pants. It is trying to simulate a skirt. I am returning them.

I thought these would be a wrinkle-proof option for shorts. They are noisy when worn as the fabric is stiff and uncomfortable. I would not recommend these.

These shorts are not as flattering on. The idea is cute; but the material is thicker & stiff.

Very nice shorts well-made and great fabric but they did not fit me. They were too small. I bought a size large, same as the Vista camp shorts and these had to go back because they look terrible because of the fit. Very disappointing.

sizing was too big. I agree with others that the pockets were not very functional.

Love the fit, love the color, love the style. HOWEVER, if you sweat at all in these they look soaked!! I was just sitting and yes it was warm and yes I was sweaty, but that’s normal where I live. I did not expect to get up and look like I had been sitting in a puddle. Ugh. I’ll be reserving these for times I either won’t sweat or won’t care if they look wet.

I received these shorts today, and I really like them. However, my issue is with their condition. They are obviously not "fresh" They have a smell that would indicate that they have been worn and returned. They are wrinkled but not in a good way. I have been a wearer of Bean clothing since I was a child, and I am now 75. I expect better things. If I order new, I want new, not obviously worn and returned. They have two plastic tag rings on them, so I'm thinking that they came from an LL Bean retail store, and had perhaps another price. This is the second time this has happened to me. I didn't comment the other time. I live in the South, but I am not stupid, and if this ever happens again, the item will be promptly returned. I popped the shorts immediately into the washing machine because I am not going to wear them "as is".

There is no depth to the pockets. They are not functional! The shorts would be great if that were not the case.

I bought two pair and appreciate how well they fit, how well they dry if you get wet and the inseam length is very good for me. I liked them so much I bought a third pair. This third pair fit very tight. It was confusing to me, so I double checked my first two pair. Both were medium regular and made in Indonesia. I checked the new pair I purchased they also were Medium regular and made in Indonesia. Sometimes if LLBean has changed the country of origin on manufacturing I've experienced sizing irregularities so I'm not sure what happened with this pair. Unfortunately I'm returning them because they fit as if they were mislabeled in size. This new pair fit like a small regular. Disappointed that I can't assume the sizing will be consistent when I repurchase likable clothing.

These looked like great shorts in the catalog, but the legs were a little shorter than I thought they'd be, and they wrinkle badly. Worse, the wrinkles don't come out king the wash. The crotch is a little short, but I wear my shirts untucked, and they're still pretty comfortable. I like the waist and the color. I kept them and have worn them several times, camping, in the yard, around the house, but I won't order them again and wish I'd returned them. Live n learn.

These shorts weren't for me mainly because the rise of the shorts wasn't long enough. I also thought they were unflattering.

I have purchased every color of this item and all of them fit differently. The navy runs at leadt one size smaller

Pockets are too smalI for my cell phone or wallet. So, I wanted to try the back pocket and the snap broke first time I tried to open it. It was hard to open and then it just came apart. The back pocket is too small for my wallet, too. The material is nice and the fit was comfortable, but the design leaves a lot to be desired. See photos of the snap that came off... I didn't find the shorts just now, when I looked.

Love these shorts but wish they made them longer. Material washes up nicely. No iron needed and they are lightweight

Weird fit and stiff fabric. I have other ripstop pants from LL Bean and they are very soft and silky. These shorts feel like they have canvas in them. Too bad because I love the color.

I got the medium and the fit is like an XL. Way too big.

loved the fabric, color choices, and style, but the shorts were just too large. according to waist measurement I should have ordered a Small, but based on hip size I ordered XS, but they were way too large in the waist. I returned them. Very disappointed!

These shorts are the same basic style as long pants, but what looks okay in pants looks ugly in shorts on me, so I sent them back. They're a little too baggy for my taste.

I returned as it was not the fabric I was wanting and it was a little large and I would have had to exchange into the smaller size. I like L L Bean clothing so I will try again.

These fit well and are comfortable. They dry quickly but the hems on the legs always turn up when washed and are hard to straighten out without ironing them.

Bought these in a Bean's store, intending to wear over swimsuit. For this purpose, I like that they are lightweight, stretchy, and have zippered pockets. BUT after about 6 times in the pool, the greenish-taupe color has turned a rather unpleasant light grey. Except the elasticized waistband, which is still greenish-taupe, but obviously loosing color.
