Just received these today and I can tell they will serve me well. I have an earlier version that are in their 15th season and I have every expectation that these shorts will match the performance of my old ones. These are navy, perfect inseam length, amazing lightweight fabric with a bit of stretch. They have great details: Zipper front pockets, deep back pockets without annoying snaps/buttons to undue in order to slide your phone in, and the drawstring is elasticized so once you tie it to your desired fit, the shorts can be easily removed without untying. Love 'em!

I bought these shorts because I am a very active 59 year old. Between working out, hiking, gardening and traveling I am always looking for well made shorts that are comfy and will keep up with my daily activities. These fit the bill perfectly. They are light weight , breathable , and the styling is really nice. They wash up wonderfully and are great to pack for trips. I bought the black and olive color and may be back for more...highly recommend. A little pricey but worth the extra for a well made product.

These fit very well and look great on; they're a perfect length, too. They are also super comfortable on and the fabric is lightweight and wrinkle resistant. After buying one color, I bought two other colors. In short, I love them!

I really like these shorts. I have a very hard time finding pants/shirts that fit and these are great. The inseam is just the right length for me (a little bit longer than usual) and you can't go wrong with an elastic waistband! They are very lightweight and have plenty of pockets. I purchased two pair because they were exactly what I was looking for and I am very happy with them.

These shorts are comfortable and quick drying, perfect for outdoor action. They also pack well for trips. I just them at the beach to cover up my swim suit.

Comfortable shorts used on a safari but I also think I will get additional use out of them---can easily be paired with tennis shoes or flops for a casual look. They are SUPER comfortable, although they do run a bit large. I purchased two colors in xs in sore and accidentally purchased a small online which is WAAAAAAAY too big and needs to be returned. For reference, I have purchased a size 4 in other LL pants, so size down on these.

Finally, a pair of shorts that sit at the waist!!!! They are cool and comfortable and the material drapes nicely. I liked them so much I ordered a second pair and may even get a third.

I wear these to walk in because of the great pockets including zipper ones. The material is light and airy. I wondered about the wide elastic waistband but it's fine. I like that I can load the pockets and they don't slide down, but you can tighten or loosen the waist a bit with the elastic waist including elastic drawstring which does work. I wear between a 4-6 shorts, more towards 6, depending on brand, but these I had to get in XS. I wish they were just a tad longer but I do like them and they are comfortable and do the job.

I absolutely love these shorts. The fit is perfect. Great length. I am 5' 7". I wear them to exercise, cut the lawn, out shopping, appointments. They are the perfect shorts. I have the pants and capris and they are worth every penny. They wash up great. I tumble dry partially and then hang. Don't hesitate to purchase. You will love them.

I live in Las Vegas, so I am always looking for cool clothing for walks and afternoons outside. They are well made, quick dry, and keep you cool. They wash and dry without wrinkles. I love them!

These are the best shorts I have ever owned. Light weight and comfortable! They are a little pricey but definitely worth it. I purchased the almond and grey. I am getting the crop pants in navy as I write this.

Very happy with my purchase. Will probably buy another pair in navy.

Love these shorts, I have several pair. Great for hiking, walking. They are cool and dry fast if caught in the rain.

I love these shorts! I had two pairs of Vista Camp Pants, which are also the best, and thought I would try the shorts. The only problem with the pants were that they pill, mostly on the inside thigh. Not sure if the shorts will do this too. But the shorts are so light and comfortable. Also have great pockets and are quick dry. Planning on purchasing another pair or two since I have been wearing the pair I have everyday since I got them! Lol!

Bought these for a trip to Greece. Great quick dry fabric. Very comfy and easy to pack.

Extremely comfortable shorts! I actually was going to purchase the Comfort Trail Short since I love those and came across these. Figured I should try these as they have a more relaxed waistband and similar material. I love them. Easy to pull on and will be perfect for hot weather without binding at my waist. I will say they do run a tad large. I wear a size 6 and bought the small. The drawstring is doing nothing but it does function. If you are smaller hips and waste than a 6, I suggest sizing down. I have more than enough room in these. They shouldn't shrink given the material. Definitely purchasing another pair soon.

These were bought for a 19 year old. She was not sure about them at first. She rolls them up a little and has loved them.

This is a great pair of shorts for summer. LIghtweight, comfortable. Good length for my height. Would definitely dry quickly if they were wet.

I initially bought a pair of the capri pants in this cut/material and liked how light-weight the material was so I ordered 2 pair of the shorts. These are perfect for any outdoor activity. The material is light weight and is non-binding so they are comfortable plus they look good too. I recently wore these to visit Jazz Festival in New Orleans and it was hot, humid and I was sitting on low camp chairs and sometimes the ground. They didn't stain easily and, while I was sweaty, the shorts allowed air flow. I ended up washing one pair in the sink in our air B&B and they dried overnight -- so perfect for packing on a trip. I would definitely recommend and I may purchase another pair -- need more colors.

Received these shorts today in olive. I am so glad Ll bean is giving people the option of including their height and weight because "fits me great" tells me nothing. 5 foot 2, eyes a blue and 142 pounds. Apple shape so I love the elastic waist. Medium fits perfect and they aren't too long being I am short. VERY lightweight and the zippered pockets are nice. The beach or running errands these will become a go to.

I have a lot of trouble finding shorts that fit my small waist and generous hips. These hit all the high points! Wide elastic band with non bulky drawstring. Pockets!!! that zip no less. Lightweight fabric. SO comfortable. modest mid-thigh length without being a dorky Bermuda short. I was enraged at "another retailer" for making a terrible "2.0" version of my favorite shorts, but now I'm glad they decided to ruin them because these are even better. Came back to order more today. Thanks LL Bean!!

These shorts are very comfortable with an elastic waistband and drawstring. I love the zipper pockets. The material is soft, yet quick drying. Perspiration dries in no time. They move with me well and don't bind. They are great for any outdoor activity. Like all LLBean clothing, they are well made.
