Was a little hesitant with my purchase due to some reviews, however I'm quite pleased with fit and the length of short. Perfect length for a shorter person. The waist was not uncomfortable nor tight. Received a compliment by my physical therapist the first time wearing ('nice looking shorts') Pockets are large enough for phone. Would definitely purchase again.

Super comfortable, flattering, light weight fabric. Pockets are not bulky and very useful. Online to buy more colors.

Love these shorts. Bought them last year in 2X-fit was perfect. This year sizing changed. Had to return the 2X pair. Got a pair in 3X. Fit is a little big but OK. LLBEAN doesn't understand plus sizing. Please get with it so we can order more of your great products.

I had walked pass these shorts in the LL Bean store, but a sales associate pointed out how great these were for comfort. I was afraid that they would be too short. I tried them and I have worn them for walking on the beach, at a theme park, and mostly for walking my dog. The zippered pockets are wonderful for stuffing my keys, phone, trash bags, and whatever else, and not worry about anything dropping out of my pockets and losing it. Plus, they really aren't all that short so I don't feel self conscious.

These shorts feel great ! They don't bind, ride up or hinder movement while walking, biking, kayaking or just chilling in a deck chair. I'm short and was afraid the inseam might be too long but it's not. They wash and dry easily without special care but I do hang mine up after a couple minutes in the dryer so I don't have to dry the entire load on low heat. I bought only one pair initially to try them but have every color. Wish LL Bean would do a lighter color too. I wish the pants and cropped pants came in Petite as I know they'd be too long.

These are the best shorts! It's hot where I live. These are nice and cool. I have three pair and wear them all the time. Very comfortable. Highly recommend.

I now have four pairs of these shorts. They are light weight, comfortable, dry quickly, and look good. They have pockets with zippers that will hold my phone and other essentials.One pair lives in my office to be used in the company gym. Others are in our weekend place and are my first choice for outdoor activities when it's hot.

Great shorts for summer hot weather. These shorts have lots of big pockets, which is great for cell phone and wallet. They are great for anything hiking or paddleboarding. They dry quickly and are not clingy. The only negetive thing I can say is being short the length could be a little shorter. I would recomend these to a friend.

Incredibly comfortable, perfect fit, very flattering! Perfect for anything casual or sporty - my go-to for golf, hanging around the house, yard work, sightseeing, and more. I have multiple pairs and will buy more, especially if more colors are available. Love them!!

I love these shorts. Great length- not too short or too long! Cool & Airy (I live in southern Florida). Quick drying--and NO crotch odor. These shorts do not ride up my chunky thighs!!!! Wash well, dry fast. I am buying more before they change the design of the first pair of awesome shorts that I've owned since 1985. I wish they also came in white;

I love these so much. I ordered the charcoal and loved them so much I ordered the Navy AND the pants version. Very light material. If you need exercise shorts, these are great. Most exercise shorts I see have 3" inseams. No thanks. Of course they are great as regular shorts too! The elastic waist is so comfortable and the best part is the pockets...with zippers! Very roomy- my iPhone 8 slides right in with plenty of room to spare.

I love these, and live in them...especially when at the beach! I am a tad 'thick' in thigh and hip areas, and these are perfect. The fabric is especially nice, and dries quickly.I'm really impressed with how comfortable and modest they remain when bending to scoop up shoreline treasures! They're also especially quick and easy to get on and off, and they're also very nice over a swim tank! I am of petite height, and the length is very nice for my 60+ mature style. I'm especially loving the front zip pockets to carry a cabin key and cell phone while combing the beach for sea shells and shore bird sightings! I purchased the 'Granite' color and wanted the 'Toasted Almond' as well. Unfortunately, it is no longer available. I'm hoping they bring it back, and soon! Thank you, LL Bean for this great product. Now...please do NOT 'modify' (especially by lowering the waistline...sighhh) or discontinue!

These shirts are perfect for all my activities and leisure time. I love the zipper pockets. They look good too. I normally wear a medium, but the small fit better in these shorts.

Going to Bahamas in the summer - hot. Wanted something comfortable and ready for hiking, biking and walking on the beach. The material is perfect. Back at home, I can wear to the market or really anywhere. I wondered about small vs X-small and X-Small was right on.

These shorts are worth every penny. They are very comfortable; I use them for swimming, for casual wear, and they always look and feel great. If you want a pair of shorts that you will wear every day (literally), get these.

These were so comfortable even in the hottest part of the summer. What was really nice is there was almost no wrinkling. They look nice enough to wear away from the house but comfortable enough to wear to lounge about at home. I will definitely be getting more of these.

Everything good that anyone has said is true. Extremely comfortable and nice fit for those of us of shorter and weightier stature. Still, I would appreciate different inseam choices. These are about 1-1/2 inches too long for me so I turn up them up at the bottom. Works well but not ideal.

I'm picky about my shorts, from length to pockets to material. These are amazing, and I'm going to order another pair in a different color. I love the length - modest without being 'matronly,' and the material feels casual without being a true workout short. I'd feel very comfortable hiking or running errands in these shorts. Can't say enough good things about them.

Shorts are stretchy and comfortable; hard to find for me. Also, a bonus, they have zipper pockets!! No more lost items because I hate to carry a purse! A bit pricey but totally worth it. I have a pair ion each of the 3 colors; I just wish there were more colors!!

I really like these shorts and the other Vista pants. These are very light and comfortable in hot summer weather. They allow for free movement, dry quickly when wet, and are very durable.

These have been by go-to shorts since they arrived. Very comfortable, light weight, easy care. I wore these camping in Virginia. They move with me comfortably. Easy to pack because they roll easily and take up very little room in the duffle. I have two pair. Highly recommend.

These shorts are lightweight and comfy! I have them in a variety of colors.

These shorts are a perfect fit, and look good on my generous body. I knew they would, as I already have four pair of Vista camp pants and two pair of lined Vista pants. The fit is the same in the shorts. Two front zipped pockets and two back patch pockets are helpful when camping or hiking - or just running chores in town. A tip for Vista owners: they do wrinkle with wear, but a quick spritz of water and a quick shakeout and the wrinkles disappear - a great feature when traveling or camping. Highly recommended - I'm wearing a pair now!
