The pockets are too small even for my phone I couldn't sit down without taking phone out of my pocket.

I had hoped that the leg closures would make the legs small enough for my skinny calves, but they looked ridiculous, so they went back. butt and thighs were also quite generous. Maybe I should have ordered an extra small, but that shouldn't really be necessary.
I wish Bean would pay more attention to those of us with no curves. I really need something with a slim leg and hips, yet some give in the waist...

I've purchased two other Vista Camp crop pants and three other Vista Camp long pants and loved them all. This order, same size as all the others, is HUGE. There's so much fabric I look like I'm wearing a skirt. I've never encountered a sizing problem with LLBean before, but I guess standards are slipping everywhere.

The Vista Camp pants are perfect in every way except one. I have purchased the regular, crop and lined versions of these pants. Versatile, comfortable and functional, I thought I found the perfect pants. I stopped buying these pants because of the
excessive pilling. I followed the washing instructions exactly but I could or stop the pilling. Even before I needed to wash them the pilling started. No matter what I did these pants started pilling. Even with casual use they would pill. I realize most of the reviewers did not have this problem but I certainly did.

When I first received these I was delighted by how soft, lightweight and breathable they are. Unfortunately the fabric started pilling after the first wash (following care instructions) and now they look terrible.

Almost perfect pants ruined by too-small pockets. The button side pockets are too short to fit in a phone! I do not have a huge phone (iPhone XS), but could not button the flap over it. Practically worthless for biking, hiking. Do not know what I will do with them now.

I have the black and the gray capris. I love wearing them but am embarrassed when folks see them and ask what happened to them. They have pilled terrible and it is very noticeable. Folks cannot beLieve it when I tell them they came from LL Bean. They and I always think the quality of the product would be much better. I gave 2 stars because they are very comfortable.

I am Plus size and normally wear a 1X. Got a 2X and they are so tight in the butt, hips, and thighs I could hardly get them on. Trying to decide if I even want to try the 3X or if I will just travel with the pants I got from Costco.

These are a great lightweight travel pant & great fit. However, after 1 day of wearing at a theme park with a lot of walking, the left front hip area was all pilled & pulled. I was wearing a cotton quilted crossbody. From the friction, pants were ruined after 1 use. I had purchased 3 pair in different colors. All 3 did this in same spot. The granite color the worse, which was when I noticed. Regretfully had to return all. I hope material is upgraded as otherwise, these were to be my new favorite pants

I bought my first pair (olive) in February, then toasted almond in April..followed by Navy and Black. Loved these Capri's, until the fabric started to pill. Didn't start to wear them until warmer weather, late May/June. Always washed on gentle and line dried. I am very disappointed in them now and not sure where I will go to replace them. Customer service is excellent and told me they will accept the return. Not something I would do ordinarily but is why I chose bean. These were a bit pricey to me at $59 a pair, but I splurged because they fit and look nice. The lighter colors, olive and toasted almond have significant pilling so definitely going back, but I am not seeing it in black and navy, so I will keep them for now and hope for the best.

Short people need petite size. This did not fit in length and also poor fit all around for short people. I need petite size and I wish LLBean will recognize this fact

I had very high hopes for these pants. They are soft and such a comfortable relaxed fit. But, they have snagged and pilled just in one wash and 2 times wearing. For the steep price I expected them to be more hardy. I'm very disappointed in this purchase.

I returned the pants, which I ordered in small. I'm a slim personthe fit was extremely loose. The fabric is very light weight; I liken it to wearing colored Saran Wrap. I wasn't interested in reordering a smaller size.

I have these in black, blue and grey. They were my favorite Summer pants until they started wearing out by developing fabric "pills" on the inseams. True, I've had them for more than a few years but I expected better than that from LL Bean!

I wanted to love these pants but they did not last a two day backpacking trip. I have a tear in the back pocket and pulling throughout the pant. They honestly are worse for wear than the 3 yr old pant I was trying to replace. I expected much more from an established outdoor lifestyle brand. I could see how these would be a lovely casual pant, but for my active lifestyle they were a major fail for me. Back to the drawing board!

I loved these pants when I first bought them. Very comfortable, light and they move with you. I loved them so much, I bought a few more pairs. Unfortunately, after the first few washes, the material started to pill even though I washed them inside out. Then the threads started unraveling. For the price, I thought these pants were going to last, but they looked pretty rough halfway through the summer. Hoping they can make these much more durable in the future.

Loved how they fit - they are so comfortable but after wearing a couple times the fabric pilled and looked awful. Considering the price I was very disappointed and returned them.

Like the fact that they are light weight. But they are way too long. Also pockets are not deep enough for a cell phone. They look hideous unless you roll them up. Which would be ok if there was less material. I'm 5'4" so might work with someone taller.

I bought two pair of these cropped pants expressly for the purpose of trail hiking. I loved the fit and feel of the pants, plus all of the pockets. The problem is the material is too fragile and they are not that good at wicking moisture. When I took them out of the bag fresh from the store, I noticed a snag on one of the pants. I didn't think much about it, but on a subsequent machine washing (yes, I turn my garments inside out when washing), more snags had appeared. I also noticed after sitting at my desk at home the fabric had frayed where my leg rubbed against the underside of the desk. The lack of durability was a huge disappointment.

This item, sadly, is to big and the material is really thin.
I do like the color and length but I will be returning:(

I loved these pants. The fit....the fabric....the lightweight feel! But the fabric snags just from being in the laundry. When they came out of the dryer 1/2 of the pant had pulls. I can't recommend these pants unless you hand wash them.

I have been struggling with a review of these pants. As others noted, I love the fit, lightness of fabric, zipper pockets and comfort. I have several pairs bought over time. But the pilling of fabric as others have noted is just awful. I only wash in cold water and line dry. I only wear in the summer and maybe once every two weeks. If you want them for casual hanging out, gardening, walking or playing with kids and can handle the cost and the pilling of fabric, then by all means, get them. I attached a photo of a pair bought in June 2019. This is the front of the pant leg. Have had same issue with other pairs as well. Disappointed in the quality of fabric only. Everything else about pants is wonderful. Long time lover of LL Bean. Expect more from LL Bean products.

These were my favorites for a short time. After a few wear/wash they have pilled terribly. I still wear them around the house, but they look so bad now, I cannot wear them for anything else. These capris are not cheap, so I a, a bit disappointed.

Too thin for me. Showed every bump I have. Not worth the money to keep. Love LL Bean's return policy. Ran a bit large.

Are you still using the same fabric as when these were first introduced a few years ago? I bought them right when they came out and loved them, but they pilled terribly. I posted photos previously.
