I ordered a S, although I wear an XS in Perfect Fit pants, so size up. They fit well, just below my belly button (I am short waisted & not a fan of high rise pants we've seen reappear), and are very comfortable. However, I wore them while cooking, and somehow the fabric picked up grease, which showed up as a shadow on the fabric (it did wash out). The fabric also wrinkles easily. I only wear them under certain conditions, so hope they don't pill as other reviewers have noted. What I did like is that the leg was comfortable on my full calf (16" around), whereas other LLB crops were much too snug in the calf. It would be perfect if this style were offered in a lightweight denim fabric. Oh, and ditch the cargo pockets. Not a fan. Thanks!

Fabric is very thin and pockets are not deep enough for a cell phone. These pants would be fine for a yoga class but I needed a more substantial crop pant with better pockets for summer hiking

I love the style, the fit, and the feel of these pants. A great alternative to shorts. They do run a bit large. I usually wear a 6 in pants, and the XS fits perfectly. The problem is the fabric. After wearing only 3 times, the fabric has pilled and pulled at the right hip (from what? my seatbelt? my cross body bag?) and the seat is starting to show some wear. "Camp pants" should be sturdier than this!

I bought these because I loved the other Vista pants, especially the slim legs. Love the comfort, the stretch, the way they shed wrinkles and look decent in minutes, lightweight (so easy to pack for travel!). But they don't come in petite size. I guess the thinking was that since the length is "adjustable: with the pull cords, they didn't need the petite size. Wrong! Even with the cords pulled all the way, even the small size (I usually wear medium) didn't work as capris. And when the cords are pulled all the a way, the long loop hangs down on the outside alarmingly; they are not good for hiking. I would dearly love to see them come in actual petite sizes!

While really comfortable, the material "pills" after only wearing it a few times and the elastic seems cheap and doesn't hold its shape very long. I still love the pants but know they will not last very long as the quality of the material and elastic is not very good.

I like the pants but they run big. I got my normal size and they are very baggy. They are super comfortable so I am keeping them

Love the fit and the casual wearability. Was great for vacation wardrobe and just gadding about. The fabric, though, snagged on something in two places without me knowing it occurred. So much for rip-stop fabric. At $70, that is a no-go for any repeat purchase, which is really too bad.

These are very comfortable and lightweight. Fit is true. Great for summer. The only problem I have is that the sides don't stay ruched. I was constantly pulling on the sides all day until I finally gave up and wore them like regular pants. I won't buy another pair of these because of this problem.

I love the three I have for comfort and summer heat, except that they pill. I wash them on gentle and iniside out and hang to dry, but they still have pills all over them. Not attractive. Blah.

Very very stretchy material. I have exchanged it twice for a smaller size because the material stretches so much and they became very baggy. The material is comfortable and cool on a hot day,

I have 3 pair of the camp pants which says a lot. BUT this is how it breaks down: comfort=4 stars, style=4 stars, fit: 4 stars, colors=4 stars, pockets=4 stars, BUT fabric=0 stars and price=3 stars These look so shabby almost immediately and it is embarrassing. I have other llbean pants in similar fabrics that do not have all these fabric issues. I have spoken 2 llbean about this but fabric doesn't change!! I believe a better fabric would make these pants an unequaled winner.l

Not for me.... cute style but not enough body in the fabric. The fabric was very thin and lightweight and wasn't what I was looking for. I returned them.

This is my third pair of Vista Camp pants. My first pair is almost 2 yrs old and don't show it. They're extremely comfortable and take up no room in you bag. Easy to wash and only need to hang dry. The first two pair I would give 5 STARS, but this last pair had an issue with the rear seam popping three stitches. My guess is the tension was too tight on the sewing machine. Rather than sending back I hand stitched the seam. So this last pair only received 3 STARS.

I like these a lot but had to have them shortened for a better below-knee length, and the waist is too high, hitting me mid-chest instead of waist. But it's hard to find cargo crops with necessary 6 pockets.

I really thought that I would love the Vista Camp Pant/capr fit and style. They are costly. I did get them with LLBean Credit Card points. I could not afford them otherwise. However, they attract lint. After each washing they attract more lint and more lint. I cant wear them in public as they look so full of lint! The lint sticks to this material!!! It gets worse after every washing!

Would I recommend to a friend? Yes, a TALL friend. These are cute and comfortable but way too long. Need to offer in a petite.

I love the pockets I love I love the weight of the fabric and I like the idea they were a little shorter, I had a problem with the fabric. It seems to get all these little threads hanging and while I love the weight of the fabric I do but that's just a little annoying, not your usual L.L. Bean.

Overall, these appear to be great (zipper size pockets are a plus)
I purchased M in almond and black. They are on the baggy side (I'm keeping the black cause I'm going on vacation and need something).
A suggestions is to make the side (button) pockets a bit deeper. I like to keep my cell phone in this pocket (accessible and doesn't dig into you)... but the pocket is about 1-2 inches too shallow for an Android. Happy Trails!

I have 4 pairs of trail pants and love them. Guess I didn't read the details on these pants. They are thin stretchy material and feel like they will snag. I should have read the details. Needed them for vacation the next day, so didn't return.

Very comfortable pants with useful pockets. I loved the fabric but it has started to pill on the front and doesn't look as nice. I have always washed the pants in cold water and hung to dry, so am not sure why the fabric is not holding up. The pants were pretty expensive.

Loved the feel of the lightweight fabric, but after only light wear and 3-4 washes (cold, gentle cycle, line dry) there are at least half a dozen snags in the fabric, both in the front and in the back. :( They have also started pilling like others mentioned. These are billed as "camp pants," but I wouldn't dare take them camping... all I've really done in them at this point is go for walks and sit in an office chair. I wish they weren't already falling apart, because they're really, really comfortable.

The pants are cute even though a bit baggy. The fabric is light and I wonder how sturdy they are. I was very disappointed to see that they had to be washed on delicate cycle. They are camp pants! I will give them a go, but I am disappointed that they require tender care.

These pants are super comfortable. They seem to be everything I expected except I had pilling after the first wear.

I really wanted to like these pants, in fact I almost ordered two pair but decided to try one pair before ordering the second. The fit was a little loose but that is ok for this style. The legs were a little long but petite was not available. The pockets were wonderful. The material was what disappointed me most. It was lighter than I expected and started pilling after the first wash. I had expected a better quality from LL Bean. I will not be ordering the second pair.

Although the fabric was light weight and quick dry, just what I was looking for, I was disappointed in both the style snd color. I own three pairs of this style pants that I purchased from a different company last summer and I wore them all summer and loved them. So when I happened on this pair on a Two-A-Day sale my expectations were high. First, the style was not as pictured since these pants did not have drawstrings at the bottom of the legs resulting in an odd look. The ones I bought last summer fit closer to the leg with the drawstrings instead of this pair whose legs just stuck out. Not an attractive look! And the only color available was an orangish brown. Probably that color was not popular, resulting in a surplus of this color. I suggest that LLBean reconsider offering pants in this color! A true brown or dark khaki would be more appealing. So, disappointed as I rarely am in an LLBean item, I returned the pants. And, by the way when customers complain about charges for returns I suggest they get the LLBean Master Card where returns are always free and there is never a delivery charge, no matter how small the purchase is. I love all aspects of LLBean and am rarely disappointed!
