I've been purchasing these for a few years, always a size large. My previous ones are loose and baggy, which is how I like them. But the new one in a size large was tight. Maybe it was mismarked (?). I had to return them.

Elastic drawstring makes it impossible to keep up.

I can't seem to get them in wrinkled out of the dryer and I don't want to iron them.

I have three pairs of these pants, one is the capri style. I'm 5'2", 130 lbs, and the small is a comfortable fit. These pants can be worn as casual or a little dressier. I don't understand these manufacturers who put a useless pocket on pants. I have a regular size iPhone....not a large one. It won't fit securely in the pocket. Make the pockets FUNCTIONAL, not just decorative.

The pants are comfortable, maybe better if there was more spandex so they aren't so baggy. The stitching tends to pull out, esp across the top of the knee/thigh. The side & hip pockets are too small to carry a cell phone. Otherwise, they are lightweight for travel & fill the need.

I absolutely love the design of these pants. I love having all the pockets, especially the zippered ones. The pull string at the waist works great. What I hate is in less than a year from purchase I have returned 6 pairs and need to take back 2 more because they keep pilling badly in the crouch. Photo included is a pair i got 5 months ago that I don't tend to ware as much because of the color, most I have returned are worse than these. Thank goodness for the guarantee. Please make these out of fabric that does not pill.

Have to add to others - these pill terribly. I've had them for three years, but never worn that much and always washed inside out in cold on gentle wash; then line dried. I so want to order more because they look good on me but I cant stand the excessive pilling.

I have ordered the vista pants since Fall of 2017. I loved them and my first 4 pairs held up wonderfully. Piling after 3 years is to be expected. Fast forward to 2020 with the next order of 4 pairs- piling noted after a few wear ( I wash on light, inside out and only with other vista pants), seams coming undone. I called customer service and they were not helpful at all, stated no one else complained about piling which is definitively incorrect by other reviews. I asked if different manufacturer and she stated she did not know. I ordered again in 2021- same issue as 2020. I would not order again unless deeply discounted. Love the fit, feel and versatility of this product but can't justify repurchasing every year at this price. FYI- I work full time and these pants don't get that much use!

For my figures with curves, the fit is perfect and comfortable and even slimming. I love this pant except for: the material. The material pills and gets nappy after being worn several times for normal activity. I noticed this a few years ago with my first pair. I bought another pair in this color when it was on sale with the awareness that the material wouldn't look nice long, likely only one season... but, the fit won over the durability factor at least this time. I wish LL Bean would make this style with the cotton tencel fabric used for the ankle pant.

These pants sounded so great in the description. I bought the recommended size M. (Usually wear a size 8 - Ht. 5'4"; Wt. 118 lb.) They were too large around the hips and too long. The material felt great and the color was quite pretty, but returned them.

Unlike the pair of these pants I purchased last spring, this year's version has bumpy buttons on the back and thigh pockets. When tucking in my shirt the buttons draw attention to my rear. When I cannot wear my shirt untucked, since the shape of the buttons is visible through the shirt. The buttons on the thighs catch on things as I walk past. Will not purchase again until these buttons are removed.

I love the material of the pants, but it shriveled/crimped/balled together on the outside of each leg around the top of my mid-calf boots. The boots are not tight at all, and the shriveling didn't happen on the insides of the legs. Other than that, the pants are very light, very breathable and comfortable to wear.

Basic camp pants are ok but are rather shapeless once washed

Pant material is nice and light. Pockets are shallow and do not fit a phone. Elastic ties at ankle don't have a button or anything else to fasten to. I tried to knot it but had difficulty untying it. I'm returning them.

I bought 2 long pair and one capri length. I only wore the navy long pants and the capris. They snagged and got nubbies on them. They are comfortable and lightweight. I will be taking the two I washed back. These pants are not inexpensive and are llbean. I expect better quality.

These pants should be good however they pilled after one washing. ONE WASHING! Pretty bad. Also although the waistband is comfortable it takes forever to dry. Not what I want in a hiking pant.

The second time I wore these I noticed the stitching coming out on both thighs. These were only walked in.

These pants are really comfortable, and so nice for summer outdoor activities. These pants are a replacement for a pair that I had purchased last year. Because the fabric started pilling after only a year, I can only give them a 3 star rating. LL Bean Customer Service, however, gets 5 stars for replacing them!

The pants fit nicely. Fabric feels a little "slimy". My main complaint is that the color is way off. "Toasted Almond" is a yucky olive green color, not like the picture at all. They will need to be returned unless I can think of a way to make that color work with my limited travel wardrobe. Sorry.

Purchased for my wife, who would really have liked to have more sturdy cotton denim, but settle for these because all the denim jeans were tight fitting where the likes looser, more comfortable pants. So, eh ! OK, but missed a home run by a mile.

I wish the pockets on the legs were deep were enough to carry a phone. That's why I bought the pants. It is not easy to find women's pants that have pockets on the legs.
There are many instances when I prefer not to carry a backpack or purse or wear a belt pack, but I need to stow my phone in a secure place. Leg pockets are my preference.
The fit is true to size and the fabric is nice and lightweight. But the main feature I was looking forward to isn't there.

I have the vista camp pants in capris and full length with the drawstring. This model is a nice change with the straight legs, but they're made slightly short, perhaps ankle length. I still like them, though. One major problem with this fabric is pilling and snagging, so you have to be careful where you wear them.

The pants are comfy but too long. I do like that I can pull the tag at the hem and not have a flare.
