Disappointed. First wearing and I snagged the pants on I'm not even sure what and I have a pull. I expect much better from L.L. Bean. Not sure how others got these to last all season. It's a shame because they fit well.

These pants just didn't work for me. The lightweight fabric is nice and I so wanted these pants to work for an upcoming trip. The legs were way too baggy and I returned them. I am short, 5'2", and I think they would work much better for a taller person.

I wanted to love these so badly, but they were too big! My hips are just shy of 35.5in beginning range for XS (2-4) causing the pants to look too baggy. There was also about an inch too much in the waistband. Please consider including an XXS (0) in your pants range.

PROS - Pants are lightweight in feel and very comfortable in the heat and humidityyou'll almost forget you've got them on, except for the weird pull from that odd seam that runs across the thighs when you're going up stairs.what is that for, anyway? The UPF 50 Sunsmart sunblock works really well, haven't got any sunburn wearing them in UV 7 sun so far. They wash up nicely and really look ok just air dried. CONS - However, you'd think pants with 6 pockets to choose from would have a pocket large enough to fit a modern large cell phone, but I have to wedge my phone around the zipper edge to fit it into the zip pockets. Then the weight of the phone actually pulls the pants down! The elastic ties are not strong enough to hold these up with a phone in my pocket. I put the elastic at the bottom around my feet to keep the pants from dragging on the ground when the phone is pocketed. If I lose weight, I might need suspenders!

I like these pants and wear them almost everyday. However if you were to wear them for hiking in the woods, and caught a branch on them they will tear easily as they did for me. And after a few weeks, my dog's paws caused the fabric to pill as a result of him jumping up to greet me. Even though they are comfortable, I couldn't wear them out of the house as the pilling of the fabric makes them look kind of ratty. Very expensive pair of pants to have such flimsy material. I also hang them to dry as they seem to get shorter in the dryer. Wish they would find a sturdier fabric for these pants. But they are comfortable. I wouldn't recommend them if you want them to stay looking like the day you bought them. If worn a lot, the fabric will pill but if you wear them occasionally they will stay looking nice.

Pants are nice, fit OK, have bought before. However, this time I ordered "toasted almond," which appears on my monitor what the name implies, a light-medium brown tone, What I received looks most definitely grey, not at all what was wanted. Returned. (If any almonds I toasted turned this color, I surely wouldn't be eating them!)

I bought the same jeans I already had. I HATE to hem, and the original jeans fit perfectly. These are 3 inches longer. I'll hem them, but I am not happy about it.

Love my 5 pairs of Vista Shorts and was so disappointed when the pants came and I found a weird seam across the knees. Why? I'd understand if they zipped off at this seam but it does nothing but irritate your knees as you move or even just sit. Returned. Please reconsider making the legs smooth across the knees because I know I'd love them.

Everything about these pants is good (fit, comfort, pockets) EXCEPT the string tied waistband. Mine came loose so many times that I plan to remove it and install a proper one with hook or button. I didn't like them coming loose and sliding down my backside...

Great fit, look great but after gently wearing only seven or eight times they began to pill on the thighs. A bad look!

These pants are comfortable and fit well. However, they can't go in the dryer and they can't be ironed so they look pretty rustic even after being washed.

My mom lives in these pants, so I decided to try them. Bought two pairs (blue and green). After a month my green ones started to pill horribly on the front and back! I've only washed them on delicate, inside out and hung dry. I wanted to purchase more colors, but now I'm not so sure. I love everything else about these pants.

I love the feel of the fabric, and the assist finding your size by comparison to other brands is spot on! One problem - none of the pockets are big enough to securely hold my iPhone. I have an iPhone SE, not one of the larger models. I walk my dogs alone, want to have my phone with me in case of emergency. These pants would be perfect if they had a cell phone sized pocket with zippered closure.

I have 3 pairs of these in long (granite, raisin, olive), two in cropped. I like the fabric, the number of pockets, although the ones on the sides are not deep enough for a standard cell phone these days. Cool on hot days, look pretty good on me, and the medium tall is actually long enough for me. However, the stitching on the back has come undone on all three long pairs, the cropped are fine. These pants are far from cheap, and I don't wear then more than once a week, but they're not standing up to regular wear.

I bought 2 pairs several months ago and have worn them a couple times per week. For the price you have to pay for these, they do not hold up. I have already exchanged one pair for a replacement because the stitching on the legs popped.
I have pulls on both pairs and little pill balls starting. Stitching has popped on the replacement pair and the other pair. The material has stretch and give, but the stitching is not sewn to allow stretch. So, you have to be careful when bending the legs.
I just expected better quality from LLBean.

I liked the pants but I had to return them because they were way too big. So I can't give a good review.

These pants run so big. I'm a size 28 in jeans and bought a medium and the waist is probably like 35 - they're gigantic! The material is very light and nice though.

Excellent pant. However, I definitely needed it in a petite, too long otherwise

Too long. I love the cropped version. They are my go to for sailing, so I thought I'd try the long pants for travel out west. I am 5'6", but I am long waisted with short legs. So the pants version was just too long for me(~2 inches too long). Otherwise, I think they might have been my favorite travel pants.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Definitely fits big. I'm usually a medium in pants but I can fit both a small and xs with these since they're so roomy and have an elasticized waist. They're super lightweight and cool which I love for doing fieldwork in the hot sun. They also dry quickly if I have to stomp through a creek. However, what drives me crazy is that these are cargo pants with tons of pockets yet literally the only ones that will fit my completely normal-sized phone are the front hip pockets but even those are small enough that if I squat down with my phone in my pocket, it drives it up into my hip. What is the point of making cargo pants with tiny pockets? I would absolutely love these pants if it weren't for the tiny pockets.

I have another pair in a different color which I have enjoyed so much. This pair, however, fits differentlyalmost a size smaller.

A bit too baggy for me to love these pants, but I'm afraid the next smaller size may be too tight to move around for outdoor activities. I ordered what has always been my true LL Bean size.

This is my second pair of pants that I have purchased. They are comfortable and lightweight. But the stitching on them sucks!!

I'm still not sure if I'm happy with this. I bought a L (14-16) because I thought M (10-12) would be to small. It feels like it might be a tad to big. I usually wear a 12 or 14 depending on the brand. I love the fabric, pockets, etc. I'm undecided about ordering a M to try.
