These king size sheets for my king size bed are huge, flloating all over the bed. Very disappointing.

These sheets were rated highly by consumer reports, and I was impressed by all of the great reviews, and the many colors offered. I ordered the pastel mint color, and was happy with the color, but I was NOT happy with the quality of the sheets. They are very rough. The sheet is thick, but it feels like tent material. This is not the quality I was expecting, and will be returning them.

I purchased these online after seeing high rating from Consumer Reports. I paid full price for the item as I had missed any sales but felt if if they were a quality sheet set it was worth it. I was disappointed because they are stiff, scratchy and not what I was expecting from a highly rated sheet. I just read the return policy and I will be sending these back..

I was expecting really nice high thread-count sheets, similar to those I have purchased from high-end shops in the past. But these are not 5 star hotel sheets. These are four-star hotel sheets. They are scratchy! In fact the first night we used them (after sheets had been wash twice), my wife had to get a pillow case from our old sheets because she found the LL Bean sheets irritating on her face. I am sure that the sheets we received are no different than the sheets others have been giving 5 star reviews for 10 years. I decided to try these because Wire Cutter the NYT review site has recommended then for several years. I assume that our experiences with more expensive sheets ($500+) means that we have become accustomed to a higher quality. But we were disappointed. In short, maybe a great sheet for a frugal Yankee, but if you are a longtime consumer of expensive imported high-thread count sheets don't assume that you will be receiving the same quality here for less than half the price.

Bought the same L.L.BEAN sheet set in 2016. My 2016 sheets are awesome. I like them so much I ordered another set in 2019. The 2019 sheets I received are different than my 2016 sheets. The 2019 sheets are about 4 inches wider and a little bit shorter than my 2016 sheets. Although I like the size of my 2016 sheets, the 2019 size change isn't an issue for me. The 2019 pillow cases are a different story. They are narrower than my 2016 pillow cases, and are too narrow for my pillows. Lastly, the 2019 sheets feel very scratchy compared to my 2016 sheets. My 2016 sheets have always felt crisp and smooth. After three weeks and three washings of the 2019 sheets, I'm back to using my 2016 sheets. I wish I could get another set like my 2016 sheets. Question to L.LBEAN: what has changed to make these sheets feel so scratchy compared to my 2016 set? If nothing has changed, is it possible I just got a bad set?

Out of the package, these sheets are comfortable. Over time, they get softer and more comfortable. However, I'm disappointed with the quality. I have 2 sets and swap between sets. One set is 4-1/2 years old, but since I have two sets, they have about 2-1/4 years of wear. The fitted sheet from one set wore right through, and the other is very thin. I paid $54 just for the fitted sheet. The quality isn't what you'd expect given the premium price.

I loved these sheets so much I bought 2 full sets. BUT, over time (probably less than 2 years), the fitted sheet has just stretched out to where it is too big for our very deep mattress (18"). The elastic doesn't hold the sheet in place over night (even when freshly washed). The sheet bunches up and it's like sleeping on shifting lumps. I'm so disappointed because when we first got these sheets I thought I had found the ultimate sheets for our bed. They are otherwise the perfect weight and texture for us.

I'm so disappointed with these sheets. I bought the king sized set less than a year ago and last night I noticed than there is a 20 inch rip across the foot of the bed. I know cheaper sheets can wear out like this but I thought that LL bean would have created a higher quality product. A disappointment, save your money.

I was excited about getting these sheets and waited for a sale and Bean Bucks to purchase them. I am so disappointed. They wash up well and are nicely made, but they feel like nylon tent material, not soft at all. I thought after a few washings they might soften up, but they did not and my husband will not sleep on them. Also, the queen size fitted sheet is way too big and just kind of slides around on the mattress. I don't think I should return them since they are washed and slept on.

I returned the sheets as they were not what I was looking for at all. I like crisp, light, percale sheets that look really fresh when ironed. The sheets were heavy and not at all crisp & cool.

Don't use in the guest room...they'll think they are not welcome! I read and ignored all the negative comments about these sheets, chosing instead to rely on the LLBean quality I've come to expect since purchasing my first Bean boots about 40 years ago. I was wrong. These sheets were excessively wrinkled out of the dryer, are a poor fit, flimsy and have the look and feel of an inferior product. After the first night, I thought they already look like they needed to be replaced. I am surprised LLBean doesn't think better of its customers and remove this product offering. I'll be contacting Bean folks to discuss returning these sheets. Sorry, LLBean...just telling it like it is.

Overall I am not satisfied with these sheets. I had high hopes after finding these recommended on a 3rd party site. However, the sheets feel very rough (even after a couple of washes) and are very warm to sleep in. I constantly get hot unlike any set I've ever owned. I did not expect these sheets to be like this based on the price I paid. Unfortunately I cannot recommend these sheets.

These sheets were very highly recommended as some of the best summer sheets you could have. I am super disappointed. They don't hold their shape, the bottom sheet elastic is not good and the fabric is just OK. I was so excited to get some higher end sheets.

I see many customers complaining about the scratchiness and chemical treatment of these sheets. The difference in these and the old ones is that these are made in China. The 2 year old set of the exact same style I am replacing say made in Portugal. Where would you rather have your sheets made?

I have been buying these sheets for years. This most recent batch smelled like wet paint and gave me a headache. I washed them like 5 times and it wouldn't go away. I sent them back. I had this problem with some towels also. Not sure what changed.

I bought these sheets a year and a half ago. I love the feel of them. I use flannel sheets in the winter usually so you could say I have only used them half the time. The bottom sheet wore out and ripped in 2 places. It seems they should last a little longer. They are not the quality I expected from L.L. Bean.

I bought these sheets because I read such good reviews and I have to say I am mystified as to why they're so popular. Could they have changed? It is hard for me to describe how they feel. My daughter described them as scratchy, but to me it feels like there's some kind of strange coating on them. It is not a nice crisp feel, or a nice soft feel--it's different from any other sheet I've felt, high- or low-end. After two months, they do feel better, but not good. They were for my kids, who said they didn't mind enough for me to send them back (that's why I gave two stars rather than one), but if they had been for my bed, I would have returned them.

LLBean offers the best customer service and gives the customer 100% support. I rate them 5* for their service, and am disappointed to give such a low rating to these sheets which I am preparing to return after a very uncomfortable night. I followed the suggestions of others and washed them, but this did not help. Just scratchy and thin in contrast to my other sheets.

I have the L.L. Bean flannel sheets which I love, so bought these thinking they would be just as great. Also because of good reviews and "wire cutter top pick". I was really surprised how cheap these felt. Not at all comfortable, very loud when you move, almost scratchy? I'm not typically a hot sleeper, but man these felt like plastic and were not at all breathable. Really disappointed for the price of these. Also bought the cream color, which was actually more like a yellow.

Was expecting a decent quality sheet set, but these are very thin. Was surprised by how thin the fabric feels, and from having years of experience, don't expect these to last long. Sad to see this low quality from a trusted retailer. Will be looking elsewhere for my next bedding purchase.

I was persuaded by the recommendations but that was a big mistake. The quality is not there, and I cannot stress this enough. Would say more but won't.

I loved these sheets when we first got them. They were so nice and comfortable after a couple of washes. I sincerely thought they were the best sheets I'd ever owned. I even recommended them to friends. Now 1.5 years into using them, the fitted sheet is ripped from becoming so paper thin and worn like a tattered rag. Completely unusable. I am so so so disappointed in this quality. My previously owned sheets from Casper lasted well over 5 years. I've had sheets from Target last longer than this. It's infuriating. I did so much research to make a good investment to avoid this situation. Wirecutter needs to update their recommendation because clearly LL Bean quality is going downhill. I will have to contact my friends who I raved about these sheets to to warn them to stay away. Also, because I'm out of the 1 year guarantee, customer service is giving me the run around about replacing the fitted sheet. Becoming a real hassle and really leaving a terrible taste in my mouth about LL Bean, a brand I once really trusted.
