I ordered the sheet set in the king size. This would have been the third set of sheets for me from LL Bean, the other two sets having lasted many years. However, this king set came with two king-size pillow cases to be used with king-size pillows. I do not have king-size pillows. I have standard-size pillows (3 for a king-size bed). I realized after opening the package that they were the wrong size for me. I called Customer Service to ask if I could switch them for standard pillow cases. The answer was, "Sorry, but no. You can purchase standard pillow cases separately." I think one should be given a choice of pillow case size when ordering.

Very comfortable, but the fitted sheet ripped in multiple places after just 2 years. For the price I paid, I expect them to last longer.

For myself, I prefer a sheet with a stiffer hand. They come in nice colors and there is plenty of fabric allowed for a good fit on deep mattresses. Detailing is nice. I just don't care for slippery sheets. These are not sateen but they are rather slippery.

I will be returning these sheets as they were very thin for the cost.

Very disappointed in these sheets. They are good quality, well made but feel tough when you sleep on them. Also they seem 'baggy', almost too big for my king. I washed/dried according to instructions, but they still feel like sleeping on sandpaper. Unfortunately I cannot return after washing.

Loved the color but not the feel of the fabric. Doesn't seem like true Pima percale. My old sheets are better. I've returned these. Not worth the price.

Have bought these sheets several times over the years, but unfortunately the last set was not up to the traditional quality. The elastic, particularly, seems smaller and weaker. Photo showing the elastic.

These were scratchyI have no idea how it got so many good reviews. Also came with a very chemicall-y smell that even washing couldn't get rid of. Returned!

I was really hoping that these sheets would be a good purchase but I was really disappointed. The color is great but they are not very soft. I find them to be scratchy and stiff. Now, I will be on the hunt for another sheet set.

These sheets don't feel like percale. They have a rough gritty feel. They are well made and bright white, but if you want percale sheets, you'll be disappointed.

Thin like sailcloth and not soft at all, even after several washes

I have a set of LLBean sheets that is almost 40 years old, and I still use them! I thought this new set would be the last of my lifetime, but I may send them back. They are good quality, but smooth to the point of being slick, and even though my mattress is a little over 12" deep, the bottom sheet fits loosely. Overall, I am very disappointed. Since they have been washed and are on my bed, I want to give them a chance, but, after talking with customer service, I am thinking about exchanging them for the printed percale sheets.

They are usable but I expected higher quality for the price. They feel no different from the $45 basics set "online" and stain so easily from i dont even know what. im mixing both your sheets and the cheap sheets but only yours get mysterios black stains.

These sheets are fine. Not great. Top sheet ended up with a deep permanent crease at the top hem after washing and drying a few times. Would not buy again.

Very disappointed, awfully expensive for a bad fitting bottom sheet.

Extra deep pockets - really not ok if you have a normal to thinner mattress. Had to return because my wife thought the surface was abrasive. If you have sensitive skin you will think so too.

These sheets were a major disappointment. They are not soft at all, feels like some kind of synthetic material?

The sheets were highly reviewed by Consumer Reports but they are scratchy.

I was disappointed in the color. I was hoping it was more of a beige or off-white color.

I loved the feel of these sheets, cool and smooth. However, for the first time in my life, I had a reaction to sheets. I had a rash with lots of itching. I returned them. For the feel of the sheets I would give them five stars but because of my personal reaction, I am giving them only two.

After just over a year of owning these, the fitted sheet became threadbare in the center and has since ripped. I realize that sheets don't last forever, but I felt like these should have been usable for more time than they were.

Quality is good, however fit is unsatisfactory. It is queen + 15" and thus does not fit tightly and wrinkles.

Disappointed. I ordered the king size and it is an oversized king. The fitted sheet does not fit tightly to the mattress. It is very loose and wrinkly. The flat sheet hangs so far down on both sides that the comforter does not cover the sheet. I have bought several king sheet sets for this bed and none of them are this large. Also, the cream color is really a light yellow.

Very disappointed - the sheets are not percale. I have been a Bean customer all my life and this is a first for me. I'll keep them and don't expect anything, but I don't think I'll be ordering from the catalog or online. I live in Florida now and usually come home once a year so if I am in Maine this summer I'll shop in person. Thanks for asking. Bob C

The sheets are disappointingly thin and the elastic corners on the fitted sheet are cheaply made. Not up to the previous quality of LLBean sheets.
