I ordered these sheets to go on a brand new guest bed and mattress. The sheets arrived the day before my guests, so I quickly washed them and threw them on the bed, only to find that the fitted sheet ballooned around the mattress. Thought at first I had gotten the wrong size but no, the fitted sheet is designed to fit a mattress that is, at minimum, two feet thick, so it can't possibly fit a normally-sized mattress. SO incredibly annoying! No time to send it back and find a sheet that actually fit, so I had to tuck and pin it. But the fitted sheet still got bunched and wrinkled from a night of use. Didn't fit well at all. Sorry to say that's the last LLBean sheet I'll ever buy!

I wanted to love these sheets so much. I looked at them for months and I knew when I got a new mattress I wanted these sheets for it. Well, I've had them for about a month and can't bring myself to even put them back on my bed after washing them (I washed them originally before putting them on in the first place). I love the dimensions of them, the pockets are nice and deep and the flat sheet is large enough to cover my shoulders while still being tucked under the foot of the mattress. The problem comes from the material, they are so scratchy and the pillowcases feel like sandpaper on my face and I usually love stiff, kind of rough sheets. These are just too scratchy. So much for repeatedly being the highest rated percale sheets on the internet.

These sheets, unlike my past experience with LL Bean sheets, do not stay in place on my mattress. Plus, the color looks institutional. The cloth does not feel good leading to my lower rating. I've bought many sheets from LL Bean, and have been very pleased with their wear and performance. I cannot say the same about these 280 Thread Count Pima Cotton Percale sheets.

The sheets are a lovely color and the fabric seems durable. But these sheets wrinkle worse than any sheets I've ever had. The top hem on the flat sheet appears to have been cut on the bias and is twisted, so I'll have to iron it and the pillowcases every time before putting them on the bed. Also the flat sheet is far too wide so I have to tuck it under the mattress to keep it from showing under my comforter. I'm sorry to say I won't buy these again in the future.

This is my third or fourth set of these sheets. The fabric is so lovely and crisp. This latest set was to replace a top sheet that frayed like crazy at the top which made me wonder about the quality, but I really like these sheets so I just replaced them. The new bottom sheet is so big it looks wrinkled all the time and does not stay on the mattress. It is so big that to put it on that you hardly have to stretch it to each corner. Debating about whether to return.

My main complaint about these sheets is that they wrinkle terribly. You cannot makes pretty bed. I even tried ironing them out of the dryer, slept on them one night and they were as wrinkled as if I never ironed them. The more I slept on them the more they wrinkled. They are soft, but when I spend over $150 for sheets, I expect a sheet that doesn't wrinkle as badly as these do.

The good stuff first: The sheets are very comfortable, and they really do get impressively soft with wear and washing. They're a little on the stiff side at first, but they feel crisp and cool, and over time they get more and more soft. The bad: They just don't hold up. They started coming apart at less then two years old, when the flat sheet tore along a wrinkle while I was tucking it in. Then a couple of months later, one of the pillow cases tore at a seam, and now at less than three years old the fitted sheet is developing holes along the elastic, so that won't last much longer. They're decent sheets, but 2 - 3 years is still disappointing for sheets at this price point.

Decided to order the sheets, although they were expensive, because I have percale sheets that are crisp and fresh and like new although they are nearly 15 years old. These sheets are OK...do not feel as crisp as I had hoped. They run quite large. Despite having a deep ,mattress, the fitted sheet has even deeper sides, and the top sheet is so large it hangs below the quilt bed cover. I will keep them, but I expected more given the cost and the satisfaction I have found in most LLBean products.

These sheets are touted as crisp and cool, they are not crisp but maybe cool. The texture is soft and very lightweight, not at all like LL Bean sheets in the past. They are oversized, the bottom sheet fits loosely on my quite new queen size mattress and the flat sheet has an 18 inch drop on both sides which to me looks untidy. I returned them.

Perplexing. These sheets got a great rating from Consumer Reports, which is why I ordered them. They replaced 16 year old LL Bean sheets (have 2 sets), which were so soft and comfortable. These sheets are not soft. A bit pricey for sheets that are not that great.

I have purchased, some years back, the 200 count percale sheets that were thick and crisp, but soft. I could not find them, so I bought these. Even though the thread count is higher, the sheets feel thin and scratchy. I will save them for the occasional guest and look for something else for myself.

I saw these sheets got a great review by Business Insider. It said the sheets were made in Portugal. When the sheets arrived, the package said Made in China. The sheets feel thin and not like a good, crisp percale. Not worth it for the price, so they're going back.

I'm certain this is the most I have ever spent on a set of sheets. After Googling "the best sheets to buy", I zeroed in on this set. First, I'm not happy with the fit. Granted I do not have a real deep mattress (mine is 12 inches deep) but I was certain they would fit nicely. Not so. Every morning I have to restretch the fitted sheet. Second, I'm not happy with the fabric. It is coarse. Not pleasing to the skin. I should return them, but it is just too much of a bother.

I returned these sheets right away after opening them because they felt really weird, not at all like cotton. Although the tag said 100% cotton, they really felt slippery and were almost translucent and reminded me of my shower curtain liner. They almost felt like 100% nylon. Maybe washing them would have removed whatever coating they had on them, but I couldn't imagine ever loving them.

I really loved these when I first purchased them. They feel really soft but crisp. But I was deeply disappointed to find out they were not that durable at all. After owning them for 2 years, they've frayed badly in some spots in the middle of the sheet and they're nearly impossible to stitch back together. I wanted to love these but they simply haven't held up very well at all.

The bottom she wore out prematurely and I returned it out of warranty and they did replace it. Now the topsheet ripped along the seam and I will be sending this back as well to see if I can get a replacement. Very disappointed in the quality after spending over $150 for the set. I believe the quality has gone downhill over the years

The bottom sheet fits well. However, the top sheet is much wider than my current sheets, hanging a good two inches below my Queen size blanket on both sides of bed. I expected Pima Cotton sheets to be much smoother. Maybe they will become smoother after a few washes. I was trying to replicate an older set of 60% Cotton & 40% & Polyester sheets from another source which are very smooth but have not been able to find.

I bought these sheets and washed them before putting them on my bed. Although they are soft and comfortable, what I had thought was poor pressing around the eyelet detail and the reason I purchased them, has turned out to simply be a defect. I was sure that after a couple of washes the sheets would relax and look normal, as when stretched to eyelet looks normal but that was not to be. See the photos attached. Now what to do with these?

Way too expensive for these sheets. They are soft and feel great...that's why the 2 stars. However, they wrinkle terribly. I purchased them for that specific reason- because they were touted as the best sheets that stay wrinkle free. Admittedly this sentiment was from a review website and customer based recommendations. I have owned the sheets for 2 years now and my pillow cases have holes.

I am now washing them for the 4th time. Cannot get the bad "chemical" smell out. Where were these sheets made? You need to source them from someplace else. If I can't get the smell out soon, will be returning them.

Bought these sheets because they kept popping up on "best sheets" lists, but thinking back now the company probably paid/marketed to get on those lists. After only a couple of nights, I returned as they were much rougher than I was hoping for. They weren't soft at all, and just weren't as comfortable as I prefer. Primarily though, it is the price point that makes the above limitations unbearable. Sheets are pretty standard across the board, but the price point on these suggests that they are in fact a premier product (which in my experience, they were not).
