We bought these sheets about two years back and have loved them up to this point. The problem is, they have become thinner and thinner in patches throughout the bottom, fitted sheet and have recently sprung a few holes/rips. I thought it might be a one off from my husband's toenails catching on the fabric, but a quick search of Reddit reviews suggests that this is now a common problem after a year or two, once the one year guarantee has expired. Now, I certainly don't expect sheets to last forever with no holes and tears, but it seems that this has become a relatively recent problem for a set of sheets that was once revered as the highest quality, longest lived sheets on the market. We invested in these sheets because of the high marks and were not expecting to be faced with purchasing another set after only two years. We will be searching elsewhere for our next set of percale sheets and hoping for a better outcome.

Sheets don't fit as well as last ones purchased. They seem to slide off bed.

These sheets felt great to the touch, but held up tor only a few years before the flat sheet ripped. I have equal and lesser quality sheets that have held up for decades. Disappointing.

I bought these because the New York Time's Wirecutter rated them very highly, but they're scratchy. I'm keeping them as they match my duvet cover.

Dissatisfied with the fit of these sheets. The fitted sheet is too large by a good 3 inches. Very disappointed. Sheet looks messy.

Pastel Mint is MUCH lighter than it appears on the website. I'm really bummed.

I purchased a king sized set, silver sand color in August. It's December and I'm embarrassed to use these sheets on my bed. They look like they're 25 years old. Bad quality.

Sheets had a rough texture. They were returned for a full refund.

Ordered these sheets based on recommendations by a number of outlets. Overall, the price point is higher than the quality; they're nothing special, and you can find similar sheets for cheaper. I ran them through the wash, including with baking soda and vinegar, about five times, and they still feel scratchy. They also seem somewhat thin. One pro: they fit my relatively thin mattress.

I just didn't love them. A bit odd feeling to them . Didn't really fit my bed well . Probably would not buy them again. Darn.

Roughest sheets I have ever bought! I would of returned them but I have washed them 3 times with fabric softener. They also are too large for my bed. Pillow case doesn't have the flap on the end to keep your pillow in. But they do seem well made.

I was really excited to get these sheets, I'd read a review site that's always been right on with other things, that loves these sheets. So far I'm not overly happy. The fabric is downright rough. Of course I'm hoping we'll see with some use and washing? But out of the box they are not comfortable. The fit of the bottom sheet is too loose. I like a tight fitting bottom sheet with no visible creases. Again I'm hoping some washing will shrink them up some, but out of the box, not great.

these felt super thin, they were completely see-through. I thought the other reviews were being dramatic but these sheets are so flimsy. If you are looking for crispy percale sheets that feel sturdy and high-quality, these ain't it. I immediately returned them.

I love LL Bean products. I read so many reviews, I was hesitant, but read a glowing review from The New York Times and bit the bullet. They are so scratchy and loud. I don't know how sheets can be loud but they are. When you move they make a lot of noise. Very strange, I know. I have 2 stars cause you can tell the fabric is durable but other than that they are terrible.

I love LLBean sheets in general, but this is scratchy set. I've washed twice to no avail. Maybe after more washings they will improve. Also the blue color is not as subtle as I was hoping.

Nice sheets at first, but now two years in and we have a huge tear. I expected higher quality from ll bean.

So very disappointed with these sheets. They were highly rated and I was so excited to finally have found sheets for me. Unfortunately, the king fitted sheet is HUGE. (see picture). I cannot sleep like this. I will have to return and keep looking. The 2 stars is for the feel of the sheets. They feel lovely but clearly quality control is an issue.

Two issues: not as soft as I had hoped, and the color of the sheets is darker where it is in contact with you face

Tooo Big!!! Mattress Cover is TOOO BIG. The cover sheet is Like a circus tent. I just wanted a Queen size set of sheets not a boat size set.Also there is a funny chemical smell that won't wash out

I have 3 sets of these sheets and have given some as gifts. I rotate them and have other brands in the mix. These were my favorite but today I noticed the fitted sheet essentially disintegrated in one spot.. when I looked through the light there was a larger patch of thinner cotton weave. I wash them in warm and hang dry - maybe 10 times for this set. Unfortunately I think it was a defective sheet but now too late to return. The rest of the set is perfect. It's disappointing - for this price they should last much longer.

Fitted sheet too big for S&F mattress- lots of wrinkles

I like cotton sheets and have been buying mine from Bean for decades. I returned these, though. They feel slick and synthetic. Maybe that would come off in the wash but easier to return them now.

They are stiff and it seems like the elastic is not going to hold up.

I bought these a little over a year ago and now they are torn. Disappointing. Whatever happened to sheets that last? They were fine up until they tore, so I guess if you don't mind paying this much for sheets every year they might be for you.
