Bought these in 2022 and the fitted sheet has thinned out and is now ripping. $160 for sheets that only lasted a few years is very disappointing.

Sheets feel very nice against the skin. Sadly, they did not make it to the two-year mark before they started falling apart (multiple rips and holes developed across the sheets in various places. For the price that these are they should last considerably longer.

Itchy and feels like plastic. Certainly not cooling as advertised. Very disappointing.

Initially we really liked these sheets even though the price was high. Now, two years later the fitted sheet is thinning and has two holes. It's too late to return this item so I guess we're stuck with $160 sheets that only lasted two years.

These were highly rated by an independent website. I was looking for crisp cotton sheets. These are so thin if they were curtains I wouldn't get dressed in the same room for fear the neighbors could see right in.

I washed and ironed the sheet set prior to using it. On a positive note, the color, yellow, is bright, perky, pretty and goes nicely with the comforter I use on the guest bedroom bed.
That's where the sheets will "live" because I don't like them. They're slippery and much too soft, nothing like the crisp percale I expected. The top sheet is clingy and feels kind of gross. The bottom, fitted sheet is hugely oversized so it doesn't fit taut on the mattress. Instead, it's crumpled and messy looking. For the price, I expected them to be excellent. They're mediocre.

I love LLBean and previously bought good sheets from them but sadly, these were thin and poor quality and were immediately returned.

Fitted sheet barely fit. Using only because I have to

Fabric is way too rough. These sheets compare poorly to other percale sets I've bought from other vendors. Strongly tempted to return.

I've bought these sheets for years and they seem to get worse and worse. This time I washed them the first time before using and they gave off some sort of weird fluff all over the washer and then filled the dryer lint trap and the dryer with it. They feel very thin and limp so I'll see how they wear. Thankfully on the bed they don't feel too bad. I checked the label and saw they were made in China. I won't be buying them again.

I've seen these sheets as the top-reviewed percale for years, so when I needed a new set, I was excited to order them. However, they don't feel like any percale sheets I've ever slept on. They are slippery, more like sateen. I like the texture of percale, so that's what I ordered. I'm disappointed.

The fitted sheet is way too big and loose. Had to sew in some tucks and the fitted sheet is still baggy. The length is fine, it's the width that is the issue. I have a large, deep plush mattress. It's too bad because the material is very nice, smooth and comfortable to sleep in.

I used to buy these sheet years ago but got away from them. When I got a catalog recently I decided to order a set. I was very disappointed in the feel of the fabric. I washed them 4 times to try to get them softer. I'm returning them.

Seam threads unravelling and material separation at folds in pillowcase in less than a year of use. I expected better wear at this price point.

I bought a full size set because I replaced my queen size bed. These sheets had a very good NYTimes review. Nice quality, good color. But the bottom "fitted" sheet is ridiculous. It is one big bunched up wrinkle. One of my queen size sheets is a better fit. I don't mind that the top sheet is too big too, but at least that can be folded over.

These lasted about a year and oh how wonderful they were! Crisp, cool, refreshing, just lovely sheets. Unfortunately the fitted sheet failed on us. Unlike any other sheet set we've ever used (years and years old), they just started to develop a rip in the middle that grew and grew. LL Bean didn't immediately accept my claims (fine) and asked me to send it in at my cost to determine if they qualified for warranty. Nope.
Why would I continue to buy the most expensive sheets I've ever bought if 1) the warranty is no good or 2) if they don't outlast sets from other makers.
Just sharing my experience on the tail end of owning these. Happy to be won back as a customer but I can not recommend these sheets in combination with their warranty.

Comfy, but immediately had discoloration after only a week (if it didn't come with it).
No bleach, washing machine is clean, no harsh detergents or fabric softeners, and no lotions or anything on during sleep. Absolutely no reason it should be discolored or stained from just regular use after only a week.

I purchase these sheets not quite 3 years ago, but unfortunately they did not hold up. The sheets are very comfortable but as of a month or so ago the bottom sheet began pulling and thinning in the middle of the sheet (not on the edge or another place where it would seem easy to assume there was a lot of pressure being put on the area), and the area quickly turned into a full rip. Not sure what to say here - I washed them per the instructions and it's just me and my adult partner using the bed. Given that I still have sheets from close to a decade ago, I would expect that a sheet set at this price point would hold up a lot longer with just normal wear and tear.
I called LL Bean to ask if there were any exceptions for situations where there appeared to be potential defects, and offered to send the sheets back for a full evaluation, but they said there was nothing they could do.
For this amount, I'd try a different company for sheets.

These are beautiful sheets & and the fabric feels great, BUT the elastic does not hold the sheets tightly on the mattress. The bottom sheet was trying to pop off the mattress on the very first night and the loose baggy fabric on the bed l felt uncomfortable.

I bought king size sheets and while the fabric is very comfortable and easy to sleep on, the fitted sheet is absolutely too big and doesn't fit on the mattress so the whole sheet becomes untucked and the sides slip out so there are abundant bunches and wrinkles.

With all the good reviews, I guess I had high expectations for these sheets. They are scratchy and definitely not soft. I bought two sets and am so glad that I only washed one set. I will be returning the other.

This set is nowhere near as comfortable as the set I previously purchased from LLBean. This set feels somewhat like sleeping on sandpaper so I won't automatically purchase my next set without researching other vendors.

I bought these based on the Wirecutter review. I found them to be very scratchy at first, but they got better after a few months. The sheets were always washed weekly in a front loading machine, by themselves. It's now been two years and 3 month later and the fitted sheet is threadbare and the pillowcases are fraying. I will not be buying another set.

Disappointed to write this review as a very much enjoyed the sheets for the first year. Unfortunately, in their third year of life, they're completely falling apart. Random holes in the fitted sheets, the hem, completely ripping away from the top sheet given the price they are I expected many more years of use before this happened. We wash them once a week.

The fitted sheet is so loose that, after a few nights' of turning in bed, the corner winds up coming off. I have never encountered this with other sheets I have had. Wish it stayed on more snugly.
