This blanket is perfect for a wet ground on a soccer field or for keeping you dry on a rainy day. It is terrific quality, much better than another blanket I purchased from a similar store.

Our youngest son plays travel baseball and this blanket is the best for the cold and wet Spring and Fall games. Wish we'd found it years ago when we were huddling under un-lined fleece throws. Glad it's available in a muted color now.

This blanket is perfect to store in our car during the winter, an important item in Colorado! It comes with a strap and stuff sack so it stays small and easy to mange. And we can pull it out to use for picnics or other outdoor events.

Wonderful for soccer games & picnics - it keeps us off the wet ground & can also be a wind-shield. The fleece is cozy. Washes well. Comes with convenient carrying bag. We leave it in the car to be available whenever needed.

I was looking for something to sit on the bleaches during the kids sports games. This blanket is excellent. If the bleachers are wet or cold, you don't feel it. Your bum bum will stay dry!!! I then bought another one the week after I bought the first to wrap around myself, it protects you from the wind and rain. I am very satisified!!

I bought this blanket based on reviews, and I was not disappointed when I got to use it. It was very comfortable for two on the grass at an outdoor concert, even though the grass may be wet, you will not be. It made a perfect picnic blanket in the decomposed granite at Crater Lake, and it makes a perfect over wrap when I'm camping in the expedition hammock on hunting trips. The quality of the materials and manufacture is much better than others I've looked at, and they were much more expensive.

My son was going to his Order of the Arrow ordeal for Boy Scouts. He could only bring specific items (blanket, tarp, ax, knife - no sleeping bag). We knew it was going to rain and he would be camping outside. We ordered this blanket and were concerned it would not arrive on time. It was shipped quickly, and he took it camping the day it arrived. He said it kept him warm and dry. It came home looking like it spent the weekend in the mud. It washed up perfectly.It is also a great color for scouting. I will recommend it to all the other scout moms!

I bought this blanket to use to watch my kids (4 & 6) soccer games. All of the games have had horrible weather and the blanket has been great!. I've wrapped it around myself and my daughter to keep out the wind. I also covered 4 of my son's teammates with it to protect them from the cold and rain. Love it!

I've owned one of these for years...from a well known outdoors supplier....it was/is great...its just this flaming red color on one side and silver on the other. Not exactly great to blend in when I'm setting up a hunting camp, or even just sitting in a blind or on a stand. This color appeals to me much more and still offers all the great features. Thanks to LL Bean for thinking of it as being useful to outdoorsmans needs.

This is the second All Weather Outdoor Blanket I've purchased for my daughter per her request. They really insulate you from the cold and wind when attending soccer and football games.

We have used this outdoor blanket twice now. It does well when you put the waterproof side on the ground - it keeps the dampness & dew from the blanket side. The blanket side is nice to sit on/ lay on. It does not do well to wrap around a person on a chilly nite. The waterproof side makes the blanket to stiff/ bulky when you try to wrap it around yourself.

We used them when we had family over to help keep people warm outside. They did keep people warm and do appear to be water proof.

We only had a chance to use it twice but it seems like a great outdoor blanket so far. My only complaint is the lack of tie-down hooks and something similar found in many other outdoor blankets. That would have made this the perfect blanket for all outdoor occasions.

Used this at an outdoor track meet when it rained really hard with a cold, gusty wind for about 45 minutes straight. We huddled under our umbrella and used this to cover our legs and feet and it kept us completely warm and dry. I only wish it was easier to store. It was hard to get it back into the stuff sack when we were ready to leave. It would be so much easier if it could just be rolled up and clipped together like the LLBean sleeping bags, preferable with the clips on the nylon side, so the fleece side could be folded, rolled in, and protected. Still highly recommended for any outdoor event in the rain. They never cancel...unless there is lightening!

i bought this because my dog likes to sleep with me, and i wanted something warm and waterproof for her to lie on so she'd leave my side of the bed alone; however, she hates it, and so i use it as another cover--hoping her contrary nature will lead her to covet it if it's not offered.

I was looking for a blanket to keep in my car for warmth in emergencies or during outdoor activities, as well as a blanket that I could throw over the back seat or cargo area to protect the interior from wet/dirty people and pets, or cargo such as plants. I'm not thrilled with this purchase for those purposes. It is a good size, well-made blanket and I like that it rolls up and packs into a bag. However, I don't like the static that this blanket has. Also, it seems too stiff to use as a cover for warmth - it doesn't really drape. Lastly, it is useless as a seat cover b/c the back of it slides around on my leather seats, more than a towel or regular blanket would. If you are looking for a picnic blanket, this would be ideal. For any other purpose, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have another blanket with you, as well.

We have 2 of these & primarily use them primarily on furniture for protection from our dogs' wet feet etc. It is nice, and colors work well with our dcor. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars is because it's a hassle to wash and dry. Water gets trapped between the fleece top and water proof bottom, as a result it puddles between the 2 layers when coming out of the washer. Otherwise they work very well for our needs - and they keep our dogs happy.

This blanket is quite comfortable and it does a good job blocking the wind. Used it on a wilderness hunting trip for noontime rests in the field. The outer shell is a bit noisy, but a good product overall.

We travel quite a bit, and many of those trips involve enjoying our daughters' outdoor soccer games. This blanket is perfect for laying out on the ground, waterproof side down, on those dewy mornings when the grass is wet. It's also good for covering up when the rain or snow decide to make an appearance. I was disappointed that the non-waterproof side is so thin. I was hoping for a more plush layer. The color is great, though.

This blanket is wonderful. Large enough to wrap around you and perfect for the many outdoor soccer games I sit through! Only complaint is the bag. I bought 2 blankets and both bags had toggles that were broken.

Thought material would be thicker. Small size, if you need to take on trip to pack, an is very light if camping and backpacking. Grey color is darker than I thought, not sure how it will be with lint and fuzz, dog hair. Waterproofing is nice feature.

Just got my waterproof blanket. Will keep it in the car for emergencies or ballgames. I bought the Loden Fair Isle, which is sharp looking. I'm assuming it is waterproof, as LL Bean states. My only complaint is that mine came without the included stuff sack. However it did have a separate elastic band to keep it from unrolling. If the band was sewn onto the blanket and came with the stuff sack, I'd give it 5 stars.

This is a nice blanket. I like it's size, which fits about two or three adults comfortably with enough for a small picnic basket. I got the blue/navy pattern because it reminded me of so-called "Navajo," or something from the SW design patterns that were popular in fleeces back in the 80's and 90's and which Bean use to sell ( bring them back! one of your competitors does and they sell out every season ). It appears to be at least highly water resistant but I haven't tested it in a downpour ( why would I?). My only complaint is that as other people have mentioned the nylon backing is noisy and...I wish it has an attached band to go around it rather than having to stuff it in a sack but it's easy and light, too, so no major complaint there. A good choice, I recommend it.

I like this blanket. Looks good, well made, comes with a stuff sack. It's loud though. (I know what you're saying. "How can a blanket be loud?!") It is, though. Probably a result of the waterproof material, it crackles when it's flexed. A lot. My 6yo said, "This blanket is noisy!" It won't bother me for my uses- in the car, or for a spontaneous picnic, but if you're trying to be stealthy and warm you'll be out of luck.

Very nice - but not at all the color as photographed. Disappointed in color, but as an emergency blanket, stadium / picnic blanket it is fine.
