This is the second pair of these I've bought, and the main reason is the sewn in leather insole. My feet sweat, and the sewn in leather insole provides two things: first, it doesn't slip out when I take these shoes off, like many other shoes in this style, and second, they don't retain odor, which is real nice.I wish the arch was a little higher, but that's personal preference. The only caveat I have is that on one shoe, there was something on the top of the back of the shoe that irritated my Achilles', though after several wearings, it's fine. Great shoe for a great price.

After purchasing 4 pr of shoes from various vendors i finally found a pair that fits me very well, it is easy to put on and take off. Very confortable to wear. Tahnk You Manuel

These look good and are made from nice leather. I'm still breaking them in. I have a narrow foot, and they loosened up quickly after the first few wearings. I'm still trying to get a more snug fit by tightening the leather laces.

I spent summers in South Freeport for decades in the boat houses next to the yacht club and always wore boat shoes. It's been years since I've owned a pair and forgot how they fit and felt. These seemed pretty loose at first, but I've added a pair of orthotic inner soles and now really loving them. I employ inner soles in most shoes, so it's not a shortcoming of these boat shoes.

The shoe looks and feels great except it narrows at the front so my large toe rubs against the leather. LL Bean does mention this in their literature. The shoe "conforms" with time so I'm putting some miles on them before I make a final decision.

I wear a B width, too bad, you and others don't make such. I had to buy an insert be keep the shoe on my foot. Otherwise I love the shoe.

For everyday wear there was not enough cushion for the ball of me feet. By the end of a normal day my feet definitely hurt. Solution was to pull out the shoe supports, which supported the heal and arch of my foot, and insert Ariat foot supports. The result is a comfortable shoe. A little tight until they get more wear and stretch a little bit but a great shoe.

I need a wide which I bought. The front was fine, the heel was way too loose. Too bad, nice product as usual.

I have to get some heel infills or an insole filler because of my foot size and the shoe dimensions. Then they will be great

He likes the "looks" of them, but uncertain of the fit at this time....I bought them as a Christmas gift for when we go to FL in February. (I think they're very 'smart' and 'stylish'...and hope he'll wear without socks as they are intended to be!)

pleased with appearance, but haven't had time to see how they will compare to my last pair -- which i've had for close to twenty years and i hate to see them go! hope these will be so long lasting!

Bought this pair of Bay Boat shoes for my husband's birthday gift. They looks good for smart casual wearing at work and also are in good quality.

These shoes look and feel great! They do take just a tad bit of wearing in at first, as almost anything with leather does. What I found is if you rub just a little bit of candle wax on some of the seams where it's especially stiff, you'll have no problem. The one warning I will give is that when wearing these shoes your feet get wet VERY easily. Today the pavement was wet from an overnight rain and even though it wasn't actively raining I still got to work with wet socks. Be very careful if it's even the least bit damp out. Other then that I really love my pair and would recommend them!

The shoe is great looking and fits well but squeaks loudly while walking on the tile floors!

I buy most of my casual clothing from LLB and perhaps I made a size-estimation mistake but I have found the fit of my Casco Bay Boat Moc M's to be too sloppy and loose. While they are comfortable enough, the laces in the two-eye moc are difficult to keep tied, and I'm constantly feeling like I'm swimming in them. First LLB product I have ever disliked (but, honestly, I also have the comparable Sperry's and they are worse). I do like the color and finish of the leather, however.

These were very nice leather, and the 9.5 size was the right length--but they were way too wide and deep. Not the first time I've found LLBean shoes somewhat oddly sized, I'm sorry to say.

The shoe looks good but did not fit. I am nearly uniformly a 12M, and the 12M was much too large and was not wearable. I bought this online. Had I tried it on in the store and I had the correct size I would have rated the shoe more highly.

The lasts on the LL Bean shoes have been changed such that they no longer fit me and I believe are more cheaply made. I've purchased about 20 pair over the years of similar shoe.

NO boat owner would allow me on deck with these shoes - when wet or damp the soles leave black marks with every step. I am so disappointed, because I was satisfied until I discovered the trail of black marks behind me.

The Men's Casco Bay Boat Mocs are made of great quality, but they are not very comfortable.

I try on a pair in the store and they fit perfectly. The shoe comes in a light and dark color and they only had the dark color in stock, so I brought them and and ordered the light color. When I received them they were not the same width. Same style just a different color and they were not the same.

We have always loved these shoes but there's something off about the fit. At the top of the foot there's a gap and it can't be tightened by the laces. It looks too wide at that point and only on one shoe. We were very disappointed. Next time we're in Kittery, we will try them on in the store because something has changed.
