Bought these to replace the more expensive (but discontinued) Men's Signature Handsewn Jackman Camp Mocs which I loved and had worn out. The only thing positive I can say about these mocs is that they are Bean camp mocs for under $100.
The bad: oversized/loose, stiff leather, lack of smooth leather linings, lack of leather insoles, lack of reinforced leather ridges on the heals, dock (?) sole instead of the horseshoe sole, and silver-tone rather than brass-tone grommets. The non-leather insoles are a real deal breaker.
Inferior feature for feature. Bring back the Jackman!

I've been wearing campmocs for the past forty years and have been pleased with them until this lastest iteration. Upon receiving this last pair (more than a year ago) , I noticed the soles were very, dangerously slippery. Just today something didn't feel quite right so I took a close look at the soles. The right one shows very little wear, but the left one is cracked and disintegrating. I have no explanation for this but it is quite disturbing.

I had another Mac from LL and it was MUCH better fit, softer and they stopped making.

The size I ordered, which matched all my other shoes, was too large. I had to spend $7 to send them baclk. The replacement size was still slightly too large.

I found the shoes to be too narrow for my size foot. I expected moccasins to be made of soft leather and to be light and flexible. The product is made of hard shoe leather, very heavy, and with a rigid sole. I returned them for a refund.

These are very comfortable shoes, they do seem to run a little large

These seemed a little large in both size and width. They were quite comfortable after a few days breakin. My real complaint is that the heels wore through in less than 6 months of wear. The soles other than the heels show almost no wear. I would expect better from a $90 pair of shoes

As others report, my own experience with the size was bad. Normally I wear a 12 but ordered 11 1/2 and it was still too large: 11 might have been right, but I've lost confidence. Why can't Bean get the sizing rightstandardized? Disappointing.

I love LL Bean's Camp Mocs, but since you discontinued making narrow widths, I no longer buy them. Medium is much too wide for me.

As usual, I like the LL Bean style. However, This moc is entirely too narrow for me.
I bought them because I could remove the insole and replace it with a 3/4 length arch support insole.
But, the shoe is too narrow for the arch support to fit properly.
Sorry, but I had to return them.

loved the look and always purchase LL Bean products. Needed a pair of new moccasins as the last time I purchased them was over 20 years ago. these looked great but when I put them on, the heel was so loose my feet kept coming out of the shoe.

I never bought LL Bean footwear because they didn't have half sizes or EEE widths. I'm a 10 1/2 EEE. I wanted duckboots years ago and was able to try on several styles at an outlet store but none fit so I gave up on LL Bean footwear. I like the way these mocs look. And I wear them for short durations as the heel doesn't fit right and slips up and down as I'm walking.

Very disappointed in the color and size. The cactus color that arrived was dark brown, just the same color as the "dark brown" in the catalog, not the lighter brown, matte finish.
My first pair was size 11.5 and too big, and even size 11 is too big
Disappointed,

I have returned two pair now. The shoe appears to be made well. The toe box narrows severely beyond the tie. For a wide to narrow such seems ridiculous. How about a wide that is wide?

Way, way too narrow in width for a EE and a too small in length based on USA standards. This appears to be a common feature with foreign manufacturing. I tried a 10 EE but it was way too long, so traded for a 9 but it was too small. They don't offer a half size. Otherwise, the shoe is made from quality leather and of high craftsmanship. Sad they wouldn't fit.

Even without socks, the width was uncomfortable. I have other shoes with D and medium designations that are very comfortable.

To preface this review with some context, I wear a 9.5 men's regularly. All of my shoes fit no problem, including boat shoes and sandals. Why is it, then, that these shoes are so grossly divergent from the norm? I have ordered these shoes three separate times to the same end: 9.5s, 9s, and even 8.5s were still too large for my feet. How can one justify going down 1.5 sizes (perhaps even more) for this one pair of shoes? Granted, the design is nice and the leather is well made, but I cannot begin to describe how frustrating this process has been since placing my initial order in early May and typing this review in late July with shoes that STILL don't fit. I'm sending them back once more in the hope that MAYBE size 8s will fit me, but I'm not holding my breath. Very disappointed.

Order these one whole size smaller. I only ordered mine one half size smaller and had to send them back. That is where the problem is. They said that it could take three weeks to get my exchange.

Very disappointed they are not made in USA, but in El Salvador! Fit is narrower than a wide which was ordered, and longer than a normal 13. Quality is what we expected. They flop on my husband's foot as he walks. Nothing like going in a store and trying on the product...

Can you update shape of this shoe? For style, but more important, for comfort--improving the fit in the forefoot?
Or improve the shape of the last in your wide-width version?
The toe box is narrow and too tapered toward the toe, looks dated. (They looked ridiculous and unbalanced on a tall, big man in chinos.) A tweak in the style is all you'd need . . . even "classics" can evolve! Something I have come to note and appreciate with LLBean over the years.
Front of shoe was agonizingly tight while heel slipped right off (worn with socks). Way too much room in middle of the shoe on either side of the arch.
Perhaps I need one size larger in regular width, but due to shoe shape (and his natural foot shape), I don't think ordering a reg width will solve that too-tight-tapered-toe problem. Nor will it fix the style.
And--before you tell me about a break-in factor with leather--the man is in his late 80s. OK? He needs shoes that fit right out of the box. (And for everyone else--and for my wallet's sake--they should be pleasant to eyeball each day.)
Positive: Very nice color (cactus)
