I really dislike the revised version of this coat! I have tried on the previous model that was comfortable and somewhat flattering. I require a medium for arm length and already own the Durant in a medium: I'm 5'9 approx 140lbs and the mid-section/hip area of this coat is huge! I will sadly be returning this coat.

I love how this jacket is very slim fitting and light and doesn't make me feel like a marshmallow, like most down jackets do. BUT, the arms aren't warm enough! I wore it outside for a couple minutes to walk to the building across the street and my arms were cold! The temperature was about -25 celcius. Every other part of my body that was covered by the jacket was warm except for the full length of my arms.
For the price I paid, I expect there to be no design flaws and this is a major one. If I had to wait outside for public transit for any period of time I would probably freeze.
Sadly, I will be returning it.

I want to love this jacket but when I put it on I'm sadly let down.
I purchased the jacket thinking it would be a stylish alternative to other down jackets on the market the colour is wonderful as well as the outer gore tex shell which makes the down seem flattering. The the main issue I have with the jacket is the zipper. It is constantly getting stuck every time I attempt to do it up as well as does not come down far enough and the button that is there to hold the bottom of the jacket together is small and never stays closed which leaves the flaps of the jacket open and cold air coming in. I live in a remote community where temperatures have dropped already. I have had to resort back to older jackets to keep me warm. I do love Arc'teryx products and wish this product was worth the purchase.

I bought this coat a couple years ago and I am sorry I did. The zipper broke after about two seasons. The coat is not warm. It is great as a fall coat but the cold goes right through the arms when the temperature goes below 5 C. And there is a defect in the fabric where it has turned white in one spot. It is really waterproof and I love the fit but overall, the quality does not match the price. I won't waste my money on this brand again.

I have had this jacket for 6 years. The main zipper has been replaced, and now needs to be replaced again. One of the pocket zippers also need replacement.
The most disappointing part of this jacket is that it's not that warm. I thought when I bought it it would keep me warm in a Canadian winter, but really it's about a -5 jacket, not -20. I really like the appearance of Arc'teryx stuff, but have been prettt disappointed with the warmth of their jackets.

Poor quality. Zipper is pulling away from the jacket after owning it for only two months. The jacket has plenty of room so size (too small) is not the issue and I take care of it. I didn't believe the reviews but will next time. A lot of money for a poor quality jacket...think twice before buying it.

Could be a very nice coat, but unfortunately not for me. Size L was on the tight side, so I ordered the XL, but it's way oversized. Even too big with three thick jumpers underneath. Seems to me there is definitely a size missing between the L and the XL. Would be helpful if the XL was only 5cm wider than the L (same as going up from size S to M and from size M to L) instead of 10cm

I have had this coat for about 2 years. It was OK- not exceptionally warm, especially in the sleeves, but it was nice to have a warmish waterproof parka to wear while walking to work on cold snowy days. Yesterday, just in time for the cold weather, the top zipper pull just snapped off, completely disabling the main zipper, basically making the jacket useless. For the amount of money I paid for this parka, I expected it to last much longer and be of much better quality. I am just very disappointed.

The zipper in this jacket made it frustrating to wear this jacket at all. Until the zipper completely broke and now the jacket is unusable. I've tried to fill a service request 3 times, but it will not allow me to
Submit the request. There is nothing showing as incorrect or missing, and the photo sizes are all appropriate. I'm so frustrated at the lack of customer service and of potentially having to go a winter without a winter jacket. Don't waste your money buying this jacket. Does not meet the quality standards usually offered by this brand.
