I really wanted this shoe to work out for me, from this manufacturer, of whom I was not familiar with. Unfortunately it did Not! From the second I took the shoes out of the box to try them on, It was obvious by the lack of proper gluing and stitching, that these shoes were of Subpar production and of the poorest quality. Everything looked like it was stuck together with a glue stick by a five year old. The overly wide style of the toe area and general over accentuated shape, which was not apparent in the photos on your site, made this shoe look like a Clown Shoe! You know that smooth feeling of slipping your foot into a brand new unworn shoe, and it feels just perfect, even before you decide if the fit and style is right for you? That feeling does not exist with this Altra, Vietnamese mis-made shoe. Also, the eyelet hooks at the top of the shoe are Impossible to latch as they have been made Far too tight and too close to the body of the upper shoe, to allow the lace to slip under them with any kind of ease. I have been wearing Lowa and Merrick shoes for over 11 years, and these Altra shoes are a billion times lesser in quality and craftsmanship, than anything I have ever worn. Zappos should do them selves a great big favor and drop this brand. I know I could have returned them without saying a word, but as I believe that Zappos wants to provide their customers with the highest quality items, I felt I owed it to you to put in 'my two cents’, about this poor product.
