SO DISAPPOINTED. The same tread keeps coming off!! I've exchanged them twice, so third pair, same spot is falling off! All of these fell apart before wearing them a week. Severe defect, do not buy!!!

Just ordered my 4th pair. All 3 pair have lasted 400-500 miles. These are my go-to long distance trail shoe. I wear these if I'm running 10+ miles. Use them for all of my ultras. They were phenomenal for my first ultra. We ran through mud & water the entire race. Not ideal, but if you have to, the Altra Olympus 5 is the shoe for you.

These are the best sneakers for my feet that I have ever experienced. For someone who has a wide toe area but a more narrow heel these fit great where I have found other wide shoes do not. I wish they made training shoes in the wide toe box fit (original foot shape). At least they make these in the wide toe box. And I would recommend the hiking boots in the wide toe box (original fit) as well.

I would recommend these shoes. They provided the traction and support I needed while hiking to Mt LeConte lodge by way of Alum trail. I have also wore them to work and they provided a good foundation on a wet floor.

I use Altras for walking, and they are great! I especially like the width for bunion issues. While other types of footwear rub on my bunion, Altras do not. The wider toebox allows toes to comfortably shift while walking. I've also worn them while doing yardwork, no problems.

I love my Altra's. I keep coming back. I currently have a dozen pairs, including Escalante Racers (best shoes to run dog agility) to Olympus (several kinds, for hiking and general day wear). The size and width is true, consistent, and just right. For Olympus, I add insoles for more support. The Escalante Racers are perfect as is. One question - why is the Escalante Racer 2 4 oz. heavier than the Escalante Racer 1? It should not be heavier! Because of this I prefer the Escalante Racer 1.

I walk every day! Every day! I love my Olympus 5 sneakers - my neuropathy is gone, they fit try to size - I have lost 56 pounds so far, and plan to keep walking with my Altras! I would and do recommend Altras to everyone!

I love these shoes. Good for my feet, very stable while outside.

So comfortable. My favorite pair or Altras so for. I usually go for the Torins, so glad I changed it up.

This was my first pair of Altras.so happy! I love the wide toe box, deep lugs for running on gravel roads in the country, and great sole. I was very happy with my purchase. The only thing that required a change was the tongue of the shoe is a little tougher material than I was used to running with so I had to invest in a higher sock to prevent friction on my bare skin. But that was a quick fix and haven't had issues since.

I'm a daily walker/short distance runner mostly out there to walk my dog and have alone time. I walk on gravel and county roads and these altras are by far my favorite due to fit, comfort and durability. I bought a second pair when they went on sale.

Laces are too short.

Love the shoes. They are so incredibly comfortable! Great for long distance walking.

These shoes are so comfortable. I love that they provide ample room in the toebox and feel secure at the heel. I am looking at getting a pair for road running as well.

I have a neuroma in my foot that can make walking painful. These shoes have allowed me to continue daily hiking without any discomfort.

I stand all day and this shoe is perfect.

I LOVE my Olympus shoes and try to wear them everywhere all the time because they are the first shoes other than my thong Birkenstocks that don't crush my baby toe.

This is my third pair of Altras and, once again, I am not disappointed. The moment I put these on I could tell they would be perfect. I have noticed that it is best to go up half a size, but besides that I would highly recommended these shoes! Also, as someone who doesn't like to untie my shoes, ever, the pull strap on the heal tab is helpful feature.

Best shoe ever purchased. I have ordered multiple pairs. This is the only show I am able to wear that allows me to continue to walk without pain in my great toe. Thank you Thank you!

As many other reviewers mentioned, the tongue slips and the shoe laces are WAY too short. For some reason the shoelaces really annoy me, Altra had to skimp on that? Love the running shoes besides that!!!

I purchased this shoe to trail run/walk with for comfort and support and traction, but they are so comfortable and stylish that I wear them to work too. I will definitely purchase more colors.

Loved your podcast on Tetragramatron. Inspired me to buy my first pair for the trails . They feel harmonious on my feet like heaven on earth. I Would joyfully recommend them thank you for your crafted talent. Angela
