I have a 4E width so I was pleasantly surprised that the extra wide fit perfectly! I bought the Torin 6 for road running and the lone peaks for trails and they are both perfect!

I own torin5 and Olympus5 and now this. It's a much more natural feel than is predecessor. It's light and cushiony yet responsive. They only thing I would change is the color varieties for wide sizes

So far The Torin 6 has been great. I've been running with Altras for a couple years now. The sizing is the same for the Torin 5s, Olympus, and Lone Peaks I've previously used. I try to only use my running shoes for running. These are so comfortable, I have to force myself to not wear them as casual everyday shoes. I might buy another pair for that purpose.

The Torin 6 is a great upgrade from the 4.5, the 5 was a bust for me and I returned after 10 miles due to the harder than normal cush and knife like tongue which actually cut me. Loving Altra I was waiting quietly waiting for the 6 to drop and ordered them right away. Night and day from the 5, great cush and the lace lockdown is legit. They also trimmed 15-20 feet off the laces which is a nice add. Nice work Altra, if I could give two pieces of advice, don't ever make anything like the 5 again and also find a new color designer, you would sell piles of shoes if you made them better looking.

Was looking forward to the wide toe box but was worried about the zero drop. Absolutely the most comfortable running shoes I've ever had so far. I only have 36 miles in them but all great.

I use them for everyday errands and also for my runs been doing 2-4 miles per session in them. They are firm enough but also soft enough. Definitely worth checking out

I have been wearing Torin's for the past seven or so years, but the Torin 5.0 was a real low point -- I wore them for a 10K and ended up having the knife-sharp tongues rip slices out of my ankles (leading to small scars that I still have to this day).
The new model fixes all of that, managing to both have a lighter weight tongue than the 4/4.5, but not requiring high ankle socks -- as both tongues are bordered by a soft, black material that provides protection. The padding is very forgiving, and the toe box shape and heel are incredibly well fitted and supportive. I'm so relieved that Altra has put more care into this model, and I've stocked up for this year's marathon training cycle!

Switched up to these from the Torin 4.5 and what a massive improvement. The fit and feel is perfect. Took these out for 5 miles straight out of the box and they felt amazing.

Besides the Torin 6 I've had the escalante 2 - The Torins are true to size and extremely comfortable. As far as durability, I cannot comment just yet as I haven't been running in them, just KB workouts. Stylish, comfortable and have maintained that Altra wide natural toebox that I love. These haven't been toiled with as I know Altra has been narrowing some of their lines. *not sure why but ehatever. I've cashed in 2 pairs of Hoka Mach 5 & 1 pair of Rincons for these

I've been an Altra fan for a few years and several pairs and models now. This is my favorite yet! They fixed the tongue from the Torin 5 and the upper is more comfortable all around. I also like the added elasticity in the laces that give room for feet to swell a bit during long runs without needing to be re-tied. I rated them as a half size small, but that's from other brands. If you're used to a 10.5 in Altras, a 10.5 should still be true to size for you. Thanks again Altra

I do about 10 miles each time I exercise, 7 walking and 3 running. When I finish, my feet feel great. I also like the wide toe box. I feel that is helps slow down the progression of a developing bunion.

I've seen reviews regarding the discomfort associated with the tongue on this shoe. I experienced noticeable discomfort from the tongue for about the first mile of my first run. After that it was not an issue at all. I've put roughly 30 miles on these and they have been super comfortable. I'll more than likely look into the Torin again in the future.

I have a fair amount of experience with the Torin series. Of all the versions, going back to 2, along with the 0.5 versions, I have liked the Torin 3-4 the best--soft durable materials, roomy toe box, adjustable room over the top of my foot, and great cushy sole. The 5's had a rigid hard tongue I did not find comfortable out of the box. (My experience has been if it does not feel right out of the box, I will not purchase.. ) The v6 fixes those v5 issues with a softer tongue, while maintaining a bit less volume compared to the v3-4. My normal size is an 11.5M, I size half up with the current version and slightly less roomy toe box compared to the 3-4 versions (12M). I use these for walking and being on my feet most of the time. Stability is very good. Wear and tear has been acceptable over the years, I expect the 6 will hold up for my use. Altra continues to improve this shoe despite my disappointment with v5.

The new tongue dug into my ankle a little until I broke them in, but they are perfect now. Love these shoes

Running around 35 miles a week in these and they have been great. Fit and finish are fine, no issues with wear. Provide a bit more cushion than the Escalante, but I can use it!

I would definitely recommend these shoes. I switched from a competing brand, and I am going to make the change permanent. Thanks, Altra!

I use these for running mainly but also walk alot in them too. THey are excellent shoes that provide ample amounts of cushion/support while being compatible with custom orthotics. They are also very easy to get on and off and don't cause any discomfort in anyway. Would indeed buy another pair. Also would even like a minimal version of it made. :)

Very comfortable running shoe. Could be a little more stylish or come in a better color.

This shoe answered all of the issues with other shoes and fixed the only issue with the Torin 5 (the tongue). This shows is comfortable, lots of cushion without feeling unstable and has a wide toe box so your toes don't get cramped during long distances. It also lasts longer than the other "cushion" shoes.

As a member of the RED team, I know I have some bias, but I've long been a Torin fan. The 4 is my favorite, and this 6 feels like a good return to that--or at least close. I picked up a pair to round out my marathon training and race day gear a month or so ago. Straight out of the box, I hit 8 miles and then 15 and knew that they would get the job done on race day--which was this past Sunday. The Torin kept my feet feeling good despite the pounding, and I came away with a PR. I know it's not entirely the shoes, but they were a great help/tool to have.
