This trail runner would have TEN STARS if that was an option. It is my second pair, I ADORED my first pair which lasted me 2 YEARS of daily trail trekking with my 96# Spinone Italiano. I live in New Mexico and run in dry rocky terrain, some packed dirt trails, and also upper alpine country with water, mud, snow melt meadows filled with glorious flowers...I hope you get the idea. They grip when needed, no sliding on the chunky rocks. They are light weight (I am a 59 year old runner) and support my foot with just enough comfort and cushion, my knees are happy, my hips are happy...they are WONDERFUL

These are by far the best running/trail shoes I have ever purchased. From the fit to the performance, they are exactly as described. Couldn't be happier, I'll be wearing Salomon shoes from now on!

This is my second pair! By far my favourite shoe for wet and muddy days. With a good merino wool sock, these are my go-to's for winter runs as well. Comfortable in many weather conditions and great autumn to spring. They will be overkill if you're just looking for a dry/dusty trail shoe for summer.

I bought this for hiking because i find that hiking boots restricts my ankle and i like this one better for scrambling. This shoes is super awesome. So comfortable with very good cushioning and grippy! Like other reviewers have said, no break in needed. After ling day of hike, no blisters at all! Love love this awesome shoes!

Salomon Speedcross are my favorite runners! These are my 4th pair and I even purchased a pair for my grandson who is in school track and field and he loves them too!

These are the absolute best trail runners. They require ZERO break in time and held up well to the advanced trek on the Laugavegur Trail in Iceland. Zero blisters, no sore feet, great grip up and down the steep trail, good on rocks, sand and water.

I bought these trail running shoes for the first time 3 years ago and liked them so much that I ordered a new pair a few weeks ago. I have just visited my running cousin who tried and loved and she is ordering some as I write!

I have my shoes few weeks now and I just love. I do a lot of walking and they perfect.

I purchased these shoes before my adventurous vacation in Iceland. I bought them for my son and daughter too, hoping they would handle all kinds of terrain. We were very happy that we had them and they were great- stayed dry, managed well on rocky hikes and were overall very comfortable and sturdy. Many times during our trip I said, "these shoes came in clutch!" :)

Keeps my feet warm and dry when running in snow all winter, comfy enough for long distances (30+kms) great shoe all around

Super excited to take these to hike in Arizona! I love them already! My feet don't hurt! I love Salomon shoes!

This is my third pair of Speedcross. I will buy them until Salomon stops making them, most comfortable shoes I ever bought!

I bought these a few weeks back and couldn't be happier. They def do the trick surface wise while providing excellent support and comfort.

I hate most hikers I buy for one reason or another. These, I love. Very waterproof, room in the toe box without being sloppy, rugged grip, decent on slick surfaces (although I have had better). I will continue to order these as I go through about 3 pairs of hikers / year.

I love these shoes! That is why I purchased my third pair after wearing the soles out on the previous two. I got the Gore-Tex one this time because I anticipate some wet areas next spring. A little concerned that they would be hot, but they are not. Don't like the shoe lace "storage cubby" when wearing ties well as my previous pairs. I think I've figured out.

I recently got back into trail running and these shoes are perfect. The grip on the bottom holds on to every rock, root, and wet leaf. The Gore Tex is great for the early morning when the dew is still out. I'm getting use to the cables as opposed to regular laces. Super sung fit giving you the security you need. All in all great show!

I bought my speedcross 6 gore-tex runners a month ago, love them. They are comfortable, light and I can use them for not only running but hiking as well. Great grip on the soles.

Size chart is accurate, great shoe with good support and sole traction.

These are lightweight, waterproof and amazing! First hiking trail shoe that was so lightweight and efficient, and were good to go from day one....did not have to "break them in". I highly recommend these!

Have worn these twice on different types of terrain trails and they have not disappointed. Everything from crushed gravel, sand, deeper sand, rocks, ascents, descents, etc. My shoe size is between 7 and 7.5 and I opted for 7.5 since reviews indicated they run narrow. Not one issue and although they do appear narrow, they are very comfortable. The Ortholite insole adds to the comfort level. The 10 mm drop works well for me and I never felt unstable in any of the above mentioned terrains. The speed laces work well, once they are set, they do not loosen until I take them off. I have been using them for trail running, however I will probably start using them for hiking moderate mountains (5,000 feet elevation). They are more comfortable than my hiking boots. Money well spent.

Love these Salomons - great styling and fit like a glove

This is my 6th pair of these shoes. Comfort and durability are exceptional as well is traction on the trails!
