I like the Bondis, but the Clifton's are slightly more comfortable and easier to get on and off. The bondis have a lower back and it makes it a little non-user friendly, so-to-speak. Still a comfortable, cute shoe.

The Bondi 8 helps with my stability and the cushion takes pressure off my knees. I don't think these are my "perfect" shoes so I am going to try another style, too. They fit great - for me I need something that doesn't rock at all.

Lovely shoe. I ordered a wide but they still are not wide enough like most other brands. I wanted them to fit so badly!!!!

Normally I wear the Gaviota but I'm trying the Bondi for the first time. I was having issues with heel slippage that wore out the heel cup sooner than expected. I went to a heel lock on this shoe and it has taken some getting used to. So it is altering my opinion.

I love my hokas . My only problem with this over the ones I had before , bondi 7 is excess of material on top of shoe .

My previous pair of Hoka Bondi walking shoes were woefully worn out I walk about 2 to 3 miles a day and had put off replacement for more than a year. The arch support is a little lacking for my flat feet, but i can fix that with a replacement insole. these are perfect in every other way and I will try to replace more often. :-)

I ordered a pair to relieve some pain from Plantar Faciitis. I am on my feet as a retail worker. These shoes are comfy, I love the cushion. I love the colors too.
If I could give half ratings, it'd be more like a 4.5
They are good but my feet still hurt after a few hrs (Not the shoes fault)

I am a big fan of Hoka, I should probably buy stock considering how many I've sold based on advertising and sales! However, the Bondi 8 is a deviation from what was a gold star standard in my opinion. I am getting a curious callus on my baby toe from this shoe and I went up a size. The shoe is huge "clown" wide and not as sleek as the 7. Also, it does not have the waterproof protection around the toe the Bondi 7 had, so the shoe wears faster and gets dirty quicker. Also, the sole wears fasterHowever, both shoes helped me recover super fast from knee surgery and get back on my feet. All I wear is Hoka, my podiatrist recommended them also and he wears them. I hope they merge the best features of the Bondi 7 with the best features of the Bondi 8.

I didn't even have to break these in. The fit was perfect and they are so comfortable. The only thing I am not excited about on these is that they are really wide on the bottom and I've gotten comments that they look like clown shoes. And, if you're not used to wearing them yet, they kind of catch on things because they are wider at the bottom. Give me the comfort and fit without the clown look.

The Hoka Bondi 8 is hands down the best for heel pain/plantar fasciitis post surgery. The only problem is the toe box is not tall enough for comfort with an orthotic in the shoe if laced in the traditional way even with W or with men's. It was suggested at the running store to skip the bottom set of holes then lace as usual which worked well

Since receiving these sneakers, I've been walking an average of 6-9 miles a day on city streets and sidewalks.
I love the cushioning they provides!!! The sneaker is comfortable to walk in and my foot feels very supported. There is hardly any pressure applied to the toe bed.
My only complaint is about the removable insole. I opted to keep them in and use them with my orthotic to provide extra cushioning. The edge of the insole though is very sharp and it felt like they were cutting into my foot. I like the way the sneaker fit with them in but it was impossible to walk with them. I ended up having to take a nail file and try to soften edges. It seems like a fairly simple finishing detail that should be done by the manufacturer. It was disappointing for a shoe of this price point. This is the only reason I didn't give the sneaker five stars.

But I am having a little trouble with the left foot. First time I ever got a blister wearing Hoka shoes. It feels like the insole is cut to narrow or something. The right foot is fine. I'm hoping it will be ok or I might have to buy some insoles for it.

I had been wearing the Arahi 6 and loved them, but the Arahi 7 was not a comfortable fit for me.
One of your kind, patient advisers suggested that I try the Bondi 8.
It does provide more comfort and support for my 77 year old arthritic feet.
Thank you.

I was starting to get ankle and knee pain from worn out shoes, so I decided to try a new brand for my troubled feet. I've been eyeing Hokas for a long time and had heard good things. I have wide feet with mild bunions on both. In workout shoes, I can wear an 8 wide or 8.5 wide depending on the shoe. In this case, the 8.5 wide was way too long. The 8 wide fits well, lots of room in the toe box. My toes seem to move around a lot, but there's no pain or chafing, so I don't mind it, and I do need the width for my bunion.
As far as workouts, these feel very stable and seem to support my ankles well when jogging or walking fast. I still have a little ankle soreness during workouts after a week, but my knees feel better. I do some agility moves, like skaters (lateral movement), and the shoes are a little clunky and heavy when doing those, but they do support my foot when it hits the ground. I use these only for exercise, but after a week of use for hour-long workouts, they are a solid, supportive shoe that I would recommend.

I had a pair of bondi's I bought 2 years ago that I completely wore out. They were the best sneakers I ever had. I saw these were on sale and couldn't pass it up. These aren't like the old ones. I bought wides again, and these aren't as wide in the arch as the old ones. The tongue is also attached to the shoe at the arch, pulling it to the inside and further making the shoe more narrow. I'll probably end up cutting it to see of it helps. I love the color and really wanted to love them again, but I hate that they changed them so much.

I work in retail and long hours, I have been researching and reading reviews of shows that people wear to work and I came across the Hoka brand and reading most reviews I decided on getting the Bondi 8 in a wide, size 8. Its my first Hoka and I was not able to go to any physical store to try it out, so it was all a blind buy and just trust that it will fit me right. I have been wearing it for 4 months now, basically on a daily basis and I don't have pains on my foot and legs at the end of the day. It's very comfortable. I don't ruan with it but I do a lot of walking with it. I will probably size up a bit, will get an 8.5 as I can't really wear thick socks on this one. Overall very satisfied, and I don't think I can try any other shoe.. it's pricey but get it when on special. Totally worth it.

I feel like tweety pie in them. I only walk, no running. I want to exchange them for the Clifton 9 because they’re lighter and narrower with better colors. I don’t like the color I chose.

I'm a teacher and walk all day. These shoes add much needed stability and support for my bad knees. I have stopped experiencing knee pain altogether since buying my first pair of bondi 8 several months ago. I have repurchased in different colors to wear to work. They run very narrow and though I have narrow feet I sized 1/2 size up and ordered wide. I based my decision on other reviews and the shoes fit perfectly.

I am a pretty extreme supinator which has created painful corns so need a shoe with lots of padding and which will help me walk on the middle of my foot. The bondi was recommended for that. It is better than any other shoe I've found but I could still use a bit more padding, particularly on the lateral edge of my foot. Also can be hard to find the wide width I need.

Hokas offer great arch support and maximum cushioning. I have heel spurs and a bunion so I was looking for width and cushioning. They fit perfectly and were comfortable without having to break them in. The offer great stability with a wide base. They do make your feet look larger. If you value comfort rather than looks, this may be the shoe for you. It’s a great shoe but I’m not sure that it lives up to all the hype. I’m disappointed that it is now made overseas. Many are made in China and mine were made in Vietnam. It’s a sign of the times. Definitely not a cheap shoe to purchase.
