They didn't quite match up to my oncloud monsters when running

This is a great fitting shoe that supports my posture and gait in road running. I'm not happy that the shoe has zero traction when the asphalt is slightly wet.

I have short, wide feet. I over pronate. My lower legs have a slight twist which makes my feet point about 20 degrees outward naturally, and due to a career in ballet, bone spurring on both big toes have greatly limited my flexibility and pushoff. I used to wear ASICS, but I've found that HOKA work far better for me. The early stage rocker relieves almost all the pain I used to endure because of my limited flexibility with my big toes. The toe box is sufficiently, and comfortably wide enough for me. I am able to use my orthotics to accommodate my overpronation. They are a little shorter, which works great for me. They are responsive and I have enjoyed the extra spring in my step!
If you're a heal striker you'll find that they roll in a little as you go from heel to pushoff. That's taking me a little getting used to. I've been playing around with adjusting my stride. With these shoes I prefer to land more toward the balls of my feet. By comparison, The Clfiftons I wore previously, I landed midfoot. I've also had to adjust my natural turnout. As I said, my feet naturally rotate outward, but i have quite a bit of room to adjust just how much I choose to rotate - a benefit of all those years of ballet. Doing so has helped me relieve knee pain. Over the years, I've had physical therapists and doctors tell me that I won't be able to keep running. But I have two great PTs now who are very good at analyzing my running style and correcting me as I need, including helping me choose the correct shoes. They both agree that the HOKAs are a good choice for me.

I love these Mach 5's! After a quick, no hassle exchange to get the size right, I hopped into these and never looked back. They actually feel like they fit so good and so correctly for me. I had been running in my Clifton's, but was looking for something focused more on serious running, and had a noticeable and immediate improvement in my speed/pace. They are quite comfortable at the gym as well. Overall a great shoe!

First run and these are just great. Super comfort and no soreness, no "breaking in". I think the best ever (so far). Just wow!

I am running in the pair and they are very comfortable, BUT, I have very narrow feet and am currently lacing these to the point where both sides touch. Would love it if HOKA came out with men's shoes in a narrow width. Or, make women's shoes in large enough sizes to fit us guys with narrow feet.

These shoes feel and look great, super lightweight also. Only downside I would say is the lip doesn't stay up well always wanting to go into the shoe. If they could make them stay in place better 5/5 all day.

Not comfortable at all. I will stick to Asics or Saucony again the next time.

These are my first Hokas. I use these shoes for workouts and running. Stepping and running actually feels comfortable.
I believe they help with alleviating joint pain. The shoes are very light and well put together.

First of all, I have never ran in a more comfortable and springy pair of shoes. It took a couple of runs to get used to them. My only concern I have is the durability of the soles. I am noticing the spots on the soles where my feet are striking the pavement are showing wear very quickly. Will see if they make it to my distance milestone.

Ordered these to put some pep in my step. So far I am happy with them! Great fit right away and the tread design gives me the traction I need for road running. I threw these right into my run rotation and wore them for my first half marathon. They did great! my feet didn't even hurt after my race.

Cool shoe. Looks good and decently comfortable. Only problem is the tongue sucks. After a very short distance it will be under your laces and you'll have to pull it up again. Kind of a pain but it's a great shoe otherwise.

Love this shoe. I wear these everywhere. Low heel drop. Provides good cushion for long runs and also light and bouncy for some speed work. Laces and tongue feel very secure on feet.

I use the Mach 5's for running, only. Great for both road surfaces and trails. My wife, daughter ( college track and cross country runner ), and I ( runner for over 50 years ) only run / race in Hoka shoes.

Long-time Mach 4 wearer - with the Mach 5 I immediately noticed a very thin tongue, with no lace slot to hold it in place. Wrestling match to get/keep the tongue in place when I put them on, and not sure what the intended benefit is with this change. Irritating. Otherwise, still super light and comfortable. Would recommend, while sharing the tongue watch-out.

Shoes feel amazing the the white and copper one was quite different from the photos they provided. The shoes are actually light beige with beige midsole and white outsole.

However, I expected something different than a regular pair of sneakers. I expected something that would push me forward. I guess false expectation.
They are just like the new balance sneakers I had before. :(

Having recently been through foot surgery, having a comfortable shoe is high priority. Seeing many of the doctors and nurses wearing Hoka shoes made me aware of the brand and the interest to see if they were comfortable for all day wear. My conclusion is that they were better than most everything in my closet, although I did replace the inner sole with one with more arch support and cushion.
