Weird bulge in the arch area. My son tried both the med width and wide and the bulge was there for both. He's had Hoka's before and not had this problem. Going to try some other model than the Bondi 8.

I was happy with my Bondi 7 series. I bought the Bondi 8 series and the shoes immediately started hurting my knees and my lower back. Hoka must have changed something, didn't work for me.

For some reason the left shoot was digging into my pinky knuckle, and it was unbearable!

Out of the box, it did not feel as soft as the 7, and the mid felt a little flat and harder. I was concerned because i had already donated my 7 which was only a few months old. My Clifton 8 feels more Plush. I kept 8 for a few months, but having leg and knee pain, whereas the 7 i could pound the treadmill toe or heel and it would feel good, as well as help me recover. Even on pavement, i do not feel that bounce. Also, the wider front isn't necessary and gets in the way when driving a manual transmission. Sent them back and buying the 7 again. Maybe my foam was defective??

The shoe is very comfortable but when walking the shoe itself squeaks. I thought after break in period it would go away but it's been months. I would not buy again because of this issue.

Did not hold up to the glowing accounts of restaurant servers or hospital personnel I spoke to. The overriding opinion seemed to be "walking on a cloud", a sensation my 82 yr old feet did not feel.

I used to find Brooks most comfortable but I would like to try a 14 first.

I purchased the Bondi 8's through a local retailer. I loved the platform but the tongue is only sewn on one side which causes the tongue to move to one side. According to the retailer this had been a common complaint. My Clifton 7 has the tongue sewn on both sides which centers the tongue. The Bondi 7's did not have the tongue sewn at all. I would consider purchasing the Bondi series again if this issue could be resolved.

Like everyone else, in the first week, I would have given these 5 stars. I’ve been wearing Bondis for over 7 years and probably have had over 15 pairs. I’ve run marathons, half marathons, etc in them. Once the Bondi 8s broke in it felt like running with bear traps on my feet. The newly designed tongue has seams that once the padding compresses down, rubs mercilessly. I absolutely hate them and am so sad that I’m now going to have to find a new running shoe.

Didn't seem to rise to the accolades restaurant and hospital people are giving them. Perhaps a 14 would work better...

This is the second pair I got because the first wide size i got wore out in the ankles, which never happened before in any other shoes. I got the regular fit one but it is too narrow for me and the heel is starting to wear after less than a month. I can't work 12 hours in them without taking them off for a stretch.

Too painful to wear. I thought the extra wide width would have helped but unfortunately it did not.

True disappointment for this lover of HOKA sneakers. I have bought 2 pairs of Bondi 7 black 8 1/2 4e and fit great. Bought a pair of gray Bondi 7 8 1/2 4e fit great. Excitedly ordered Bondi 8 and have realized after couple of weeks they are not cut like the Bondi 7. Very disappointed as they are a fantastic looking sneaker

I run in bondi 7 but I saw the bondi 8 and had to to a pair. I took my first run in them and I was disappointed, not smooth, felt less cushion. This is a god walking shoe, not for running. I need to go back to my bondi 7.

I ordered a wide width in this shoe. The width across the forefoot was good but then the toe box tapered off so that my toes were squished … even in a wide shoe! I had high hopes for the new Bondi shoes but these have the same issues as the previous model. I loved the Hoka Bondi years ago but now I can’t wear them.

My son has 4E wide feet and most 4E wide shoes don't even fit him. Normally I LOVE Hoka shoes and have multiple pairs. So I thought I would buy him the extra wide shoes for him to try out since he has so much foot pain. They were hardly wide at all. In fact, we had him try my husbands Hoka shoes on (not wide) and they were wider than the extra wide shoes. The sole was very wide! But the actual shoe itself was not wide. We sent them back without a problem! Hoka is awesome with their return policy. I will continue to purchase hoka for myself, but not my son.

I only wear these shoes to walk on a treadmill once a day for 45 minutes. These shoes are great for that. But after only 3 months of walking, the shoelace on the left foot just ripped through one of the eyelets. I have a bunion on that foot so maybe that put extra stress on that part of the shoe. Even so, I think that a good shoe should be able to endure a 65-year-old man walking on a treadmill. It's a shame because I really liked these shoes otherwise.

These shoes are too narrow and not wide enough. As usual, HOKA shoe frames are much to narrow, and my feet lay down on the inner frames of the shoes and leaves an imprint in my arch side of the foot. Our feet should sit within the frames not on top of them. Until they widen the frames of these shoes, I cannot buy or wear them.

My wife loves her Hoka's for work, but my dad will not wear the Bondi 8s above which I just bought him for his birthday because he says it digs into his heal too much. Very unfortunate.

I have always loved Hoka because I am a everyday walker. The shoes were good for my back and kept my feet from hurting. The last pair I purchased Hoka Bondi 8 were the same size I always buy but for some reason they are about a half size to big. I compared the number on my the tongue of the shoe. It was the same as the last pair I purchased. I wore them for awhile before I realized they were the cause of feet hurting. I would like to know if I can return them even though I have had them for a month. I hope I can still be a Hoka customer because they have been so good for me.

I have the Bondi 7, my favorite pair of shoes when working my 12-hour shift. I was excited when Bondi 8 was released, but the medial insole of the shoe seemed to dig into my sole. I sent it back and was immediately refunded. I will be buying another Hoka Bondi 7, but not the 8. I can order a wider version, but my problem is not the front of the shoe but the heel part
