I used to swear by the Bondi. Owned at least 10 pair. Have a wide foot. The design has changed over the years where the mid sole has become narrower and narrower. Ordered the extra wide. No difference. A wide foot is not a wide toe box. It's a wide foot. The whole foot. Wish they would go back to the old spec when they were true wides. The Bondi 4 or 5 were amazing.

Originally bought Bondi 7's on a friends recommendation and they were great!
Got them because I stand on concrete for up to 9 hrs. per day and was looking for something to ease the foot pain and weariness at the end of the day.
Right off the bat they made it able to go through a whole day with far less discomfort. Of course after about a year they lost a lot of the cushion the began with and so I bought the new Bondi 8's.
Right off the bat I knew they were not the equal of the 7's. Feet start hurting by late mid day.
They have the same great x-wide fit but not the cushioning.
I've kept them and will try some inserts but am basically disappointed.

I purchased the Bondi 8, because you were out of the bondi 7.
Your online description says the bond 8's I have even more padding in the sole. I found a shoe to be less comfortable than the bondi 7, not as comfortable, tighter, even though they're the same size. So I just went back and wearing my old 7's. My fault for trusting hoka, I'll just eat this one.

My last 2 pair of Bondi shoes i have had issues with them squeaking with every step i take. The performance of the shoe is fine but very annoying with the noise with the shoe.

The previous versions of the Bondi had a more curved heel design that promoted a rolling step to help with my plantar fasciitis. These soles are much flatter and do not help. I'll be hoping for a return to the previous design.

I love the way the shoes feel but they are too narrow/tight even hoka's widest size. This makes me sad.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Runs SmallRuns Large
Runs NarrowRuns Wide
Poor SupportGreat Support
I was hoping for a shoe with more support/cushion for my wide/high arched feet. The shoe is too narrow all the way around, even pinching my heels. Inside the shoe is sort of "cup" shaped, so you don't have as much width as you'd like.

These shoes are very good. I enjoyed the way the shoes was made but the only problem that I noticed would be that the insole definitely has room for improvement. For the price, I was hoping the insole would be a bit more comfortable and unfortunately I had to replace the insoles with a different pad which made the shoe a lot better. When it comes to running, the insole of a shoes is a big factor in feeling comfortable and helping you achieve your best outcome.

This is still a good fitting shoe and comfortable. The tongue is permanently attached at one side of the opening. Once I get the shoe tied the tongue does not center over my foot. It is pulled to the side where it is attached.

Ever since Bondi 6 were out, the shoes were Amazing, & USED TO TELL PPL TO BUY! if suffer from foot conditions: metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma. Good Wide shoes, back loop for slipping on and heel cup awesome. Now Bondi 7 came out and felt harder, not plush comfy ride used to, also got narrow, went from 10.5 2E on Bondi 6 to 11 4E for Bondi 7 b/c narrow and the cloud you felt for walking, gone! And now the Bondi 8. What can say, heel cup loose, not as supporting and comfy, almost to low on sides, least feels that way, harder again, not the cushion of walking on clouds, and narrow narrow narrow, almost need a 6EEEEEE to wear, and the heel loop for slipping on, now goes other direction. For ppl with hand issues, THIS IS NOT GOOD AND UNACCEPTABLE, as makes putting shoes in That much harder! Material and stitching looks like unfinished product and my once favorite shoes and company are now becoming my least, as they keep ruining the Best shoe ever made, BONDI 6, with every new gen they release and the Bondi 8 is following suite with the Bondi 7, smh, as feel sad, b/c anyone with feet issues knows, finding the pair of shoes that works, is key. My custom $1100 carbon fiber orthotics got w/ Bondi 6 10.5 2E shoes, don't fit my Bondi 7 or Bondi 8 shoes, and don't make Bondi 6 anymore. Not gonna have new orthotics made every year, as that is insane! Please Hoka One One, come back to the heart of what did with Bondi 6 shoes and make the Bondi 9 the beginning of the next reincarnation of Bondi 6 shoes, something the Bondi 7 & 8 Should Have BEEN! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Been wearing these Bondi's since beginning and every year since 6 I've been sad and disappointed, I remember when we were going towards the Bondi 6 from Bondi 5 and WOW WHAT AN UPGRADE/UPDATE, as nailed it! Perfect shoes, till gen 7 and now gen 8.I weep and even the sales ppl at shoe store always buy from said as well, they noticed immediately like me, the gen 7 and now gen 8, AINT NO GEN 6 AND SEEMS lost way.

I been a big Hoka and especially Biondi model. I have purchased or worn at least a dozen pair in the last multiple years.
The Biondi 8 front foot location is far too wide for those who historically are comfortable in the medium wide sneakers. The Biondi front is too wide and caused blisters and foot pain due to the extra width from the Biondi's prior to this model.
You should have been clear the base was wider and for people who bought and need medium width to make sure these are not normal width.

Returned item as I had to go down in size as they don't carry extra wide in 16. The arch was under my foot not wear they're supposed to be. Clifton Hoka is a lot better!! It's too bad they don't make extra wide for all sizes, just think the business they could be making if they did. I work for TSA and we're always on our feet 10 hours a day. Think what kind of partners they can be. If I was in charge, I would consider this and make National news and get the free publicity.

I had to return this shoe. I purchased this hoping it would be my new work shoe like so many people use in the Healthcare field, and to use for my easy long runs. I've been attracted to the Bondi 8s new design, the recent models, well, they were hideous. I tried one at a local store and it felt good but I liked the color options on this site and went with it. After walking with it for a few days it didn't get much better. I was waiting for it to break in but in never happened. I'm wide in the midfoot region and not the toe box and I could feel a lot of pressure on the lateral/ outer parts of my feet. After realizing its construction, your feet are sunken into the lower outer sole and with my wide midfoot region, it kind of feels like the outersole is stabbing into the sides of my midfoot areas. It kind feels like a tight belt on with my old love handles hanging out, lol! I went ahead and ran 6 miles hoping it would break in. Instead I got a nasty blister for probably my first time in the 4 years I've been running. Loved the mesh, design, and feel of the outersile. Not as plush as I thought it would but that I didn't I did like the firmness. Just wish it was wider! Back to the Cliftons for me.

I have 2 Hoka shoes, the Clifton 8 and the Bondi X, so I was looking to get me a new pair of the Bondi 8.
I went to a Running shop in Michigan and travel to another, since the first one did not have my size, That much I was interested, but when i finally have the chance to try on the shoe, to my surprise the feel was awful. Feels like there's some stick under the insole in the midfoot area.
I was very disappointed that i ended up buying another brand.
I'm not done with HOKA, I expect to give it a new try later with another model

I literally took off 6's to try the 8's. I walked around the house for 10 minutes and knew they were going back. Full disclosure, I have some foot issues from decades of running, hiking, tennis. 6's have been my go-to shoes ever since they were introduced. I was hoping the 8's would be an improvement. IMO, they are not

The whole shoe seems oversized, even though I ordered the wide extra wide. And the insoles are already wearing out after only two weeks.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I have heard such great things about Hokas from friends with them, but just haven't ever bought a shoe this expensive before. I have a big race coming up, so was willing to splurge on something extra comfortable. I bought the bondi 8 in regular size, and it was ridiculously narrow, and I could not run far at all in them without pain and blisters. I then exchanged it for a wide in hopes that it would solve the problem. I did a few treadmill runs of varying lengths, and it seemed to be working fine. I finally took it out for a road run, 7 miles, not too long after it had been raining. The shoe does well on a treadmill, but only has mediocre traction on wet pavement. After 4-5 miles I noticed it seemed to be rubbing, perhaps because I wasn't wearing as thick of socks as when on the treadmill. When I got home I had blisters on the side of my heals and the inside arch of my foot. I have never been blister prone and have worn shoes from a variety of brands with no problem before, but these shoes just are odd. I'm thankful for Hoka's great return options and policies. I'd consider buying Hoka again, but will have to do so from a store where I can try the shoes on in person, not the whole internet ordering.

a. Soles lose cushion too fast! 4th pair in 2,years
2. Uppers NOT durable
3. Sizing? Bought a misfit 10. Always been 9.5. FATAL ERROR!!
4. Too many negatives. No positives!! Design Team NEEDS to be replaced!
Overall, Hoka Bondi 8 is about as bad as possible!
Hoka no longer best in class
I won't be buying anymore
Shoes your lack of knowledge. Huge mistakes everywhere!!

Love the shoe and comfort but I have a complaint that after 45 days it's stared making a squeaking sound and they only give 30 days to return so I'm stuck with them. They should extend the warranty for a little longer than 30 days.
