Ordered a 4E, but shoes were too narrow, probably a good 2E size.

Order up folks, disappointed, wish they would have kept it like the Bondi 7!

Not the amount of comfort I was expecting. Don't understand why all the rave. Did the shoe quiz and very disappointed in my head compared to Brooks. I had high hopes

These shoes are supposed to be the most "squishy" and comfortable shoes Hoka has. My feet consistently hurt and the only shoes I've found that are suitable are Adidas Cloud Foams. The Bondi is comfortable I guess but nowhere near as comfortable as Adidas yer the Hilas were $170?? I was hoping for a price as high as that it would literally be like walking on a cloud. Well, it isn't. They are average at best

Let's start with the good. The Bondi 8 is super cushy, and makes a pretty fantastic walkin' around shoe. Pretty darn comfortable to walk around in. Now let's talk about the not so good. The Bondi 8 is a terrible running shoe. It's big. It's clunky. It's heavy. It's slow. It has a pretty narrow toe-box. It feels terribly uncoordinated. And it forces a terrible stride pattern. The Bondi 8 is one of 3 pairs of Hoka's I've actually run in. I've tried on many more. One running theme I've noticed is that Hoka loves narrow toe boxes. They love to really squish your toes in there. This one's no different, as both of my smallest toes are right up against the toe wall, and my big toe has very little room. I've also run in the Clifton 8 and the Challenger. The Clifton 8 is MUCH lighter, more comfortable, more responsive, and snappier. It feels great to run in. The Bondi 8 is heavy. Don't think about doing any speed training, the Bondi 8 will slow you down a bunch. And don't think about doing any distance running either, running in the heavy Bondi's is exhausting. Running in the Bondi is best reserved for weight training runs, where you actually want to run in a heavier shoe to strengthen your legs, and for recovery runs where you're gonna run half-heartedly anyway, an it's more about just moving your body. Even then, they're exhausting. Last complaint: stride mechanics. I'm typically a mid-foot striker, and when I'm speed training, or sometimes hill+speed training, I'll force a forefoot strike. The Bondi actively pushes your foot strike backwards. They force me to run flat-footed. I can feel the added impact of clomping my way down the road, despite all the cushioning, and the loud clomping is an embarrassing assault on my ears. (Note: If you're already a heel-striker, this may not bother you.) End summary? I've never regretted buying a shoe more, and now I can't return them. Weighted-shoe training it is!

I've purchased your running shoes for years; always with the perfect fit. These Bondi 8 shoes do not fit well. They're too tight in the width, so I'm forded to only west them with thin socks.

I wear an Xtra wide so I had to return these but the area over the top of my toes was pressing down on my toes so not any room there. If you could just make that a little taller it would be a winner. My Bondi 7s are the best shoe I've ever owned. I don't even know I have shoes on sometimes. Waiting for you to restock so I can buy another pair.

Unfortunately the Bondi 8 is nothing like the 7. The material over the toe was super thin. I felt like my toe would pop through quickly. They didn't have the same cushion feel. The material was poorly sewn on the shoes. I do love the color options. I did return them.

I have the bondi 7 and gave it 3 stars, good cushion, good quality, but too narrow in the midfoot and toe box, typical for Hoka. I can walk in them but not run,the midfoot made my navicular bone hurt while running(mainly afterwards}...and my toes would sometimes sting while running, size 10 extra wide. I tried on a bondi 8 wide in a local store and I couldnt get it off my foot fast enough,...harder cushion and a more narrow midfoot,,,toe box about the same,,,the upper seemed shalower, So for me Hoka went backwards for the Bondi line,,,,all thier shoes have a hard ridge in the midfoot and narrow toe boxes, I hope they will address this someday, I keep trying them cause of good build quality and longevity potential

I have a high volume foot, and these things crush my feet. Now that I know the correct terms for my weird feet, I am able to find shoes and styles that fit better and this isn't one of them.

Although the soul and upper was very comfortable, a regular wide was not wide enough for my foot. Return shipping is a much longer process than the initial shipment. Can't wait to get my shoes back so I can wear them to work.

My regular D width was far too narrow in this shoe. The EE fit correctly, but the stitching that attached the tongue to the side of the shoe dug into my foot while just standing. My heel sunk partially and unevenly into some sort of a gap in the platform structure. The Brooks Addiction GTS (and others) are far superior to this shoe.

I purchased this shoe for my husband as a work shoe. Several other co-workers has this shoe so that's why the shoe was purchased. It's a nice looking shoe but it didn't have enough cushion in the shoe for him. It actually made his back hurt. So, unfortunately the shoe was returned and he's going back to purchasing ASICS Novablast.

Unfortunately I had to find out on my own that the manufacturer sells shoes within the line with varying sizes. The width of the Bondi 7 in a 10.5 in the medium width is totally different than the Bondi 8 of the same size and width. The 8 was so wide I couldn't actually walk in it without stumbling. I got great help when I called by customer service who helped me and I was able to exchange the 8 for a 7, which was my first shoe from this manufacturer. Your customer service mede it all great and I now have my second pair of these great shoes.

I like the style, but the arch is just so high, that after two weeks of wear, they are still uncomfortable. I really did want to like them. I then got a pair of Aftra Vis Olympus. MUCH MUCH BETTER. Even though there are a medium, ( I usually wear a wide) they have a big toe box and feel great. I’m very happy with my new shoe. In the review I had to put in arch support. There was no category for, “too high “.
