I have several pairs of Bondi 7 and love them. Purchased Bondi 8 thinking it will be even softer cushioning. To my disappointment, The Bondi 8 just doesn't feel as comfortable as the Bondi 7. I even wore a Bondi 7 on one foot and the new 8 on the other just to confirm. The Bondi 8 feels tighter in the upper mesh as other reviewers have mentioned. The cushion feels a little harder and has lost that springy walking on the cloud feeling of the Bondi 7. Too bad, I really wanted to love the 8 but why change a winning formula with the 7?

I purchased the Bondi 8 X-Wide sneakers, they are a good shoe and would buy them again.But They are not all that extra wide.I compared them to my x-Wide new balance shoes, there a bid difference. hoka please make your wide true to size in the future, I want to buy more

I have bad feet and wear my HOKA Bondi 7 shoes 80% of the time so I was excited to learn about the ADDITIONAL cushion advertised about the Bondi 8. The 8 is not more cushioned and I find myself continuing to wear the 7's.

A slight improvement to the 7's. Need more color choice and more wide shoe choices.

I tried it couple times and returned it today. Bondi 8 are great shoes for walking and running. However, the sole or in-sole cut into the edge of my arch more in the right foot. I had similar issues with Bondi 7 and returned that as well. My earlier Clifton 8 also bites into my arch. However, it's too late to return or exchange the Clifton as it's about 11 months since I purchased them. I wondered, for the same US size 11, why Nike, Adidas, and Puma fit me very well without the bite. So, I got my feet measured at CVS using the Dr. Scholl's feet scanner. I noticed my width is 4.53" and none of the Hoka shoes excepting Bondi 8 offer X-Wide which alone meets both the length and width requirements. I say this because if I rely on the length alone the width falls short and does not align properly. And, if I go by width alone, the length is a run-away size for R or EE sizes. To meet the 4.53" I need to select US size 13.5 or 14 in the R or EE sizes but my true foot length is just 10.76". The 13.5 or 14 results in over 12" true length! I'm about to order Bondi 8 X-Wide (EEEE) hoping it would gel well. Local stores that carry Hoka don't have The X-Wide shoes. I wish Hoka would offer X-Wide in the other shoes as well such as Gravioti, Clifton, etc. The Hoka shoes were recommended to me by a colleague and my Ortho doctor. They are superb to get rid of feet pain, and comfortable running and walking provided the right size and width is available. I hope Hoka will offer X-Wide in all their shoe offerings.

I bought this particular shoe because of the colors around the rim. However, once I put them on, they looked like "clown" shoes because I need to order a "W" width. Shoes are extremely comfortable but the stripes accentuate the wide width. My problem, not yours.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they changed the design a little and they were very uncomfortable when I put them on. These were my 4th & 5th pairs so it didn't make sense. I went to a store near me & they said they found they are running narrow & I might need a wide (I never need wides) well the wides fit perfectly & I love them.

Thr most comfortable and cushioned shoe I've worn.

Seem to be a little larger in sizing than the Bondi7. A little wider in 2e than the 7's.

I use the shoes for walking,. Not enough Cushing on feet.

The shoes are great! Super comfortable! I do wish that extra wide came in more color choices though. The "expedited " delivery was lacking though, over a week is not fast at all.

Good looking shoes but to me they don't feel as cushiony as the bondi 7

I think I prefer the 7's, but they both fit the bill. Need stability and cushion.

My new Bondi is decently cushioned, which is hugely important to me, but it doesn't feel all that responsive. My previous Bondi seemed better in that regard. With the new ones, it's kind of like running on cushioned cardboard. One would hope for better when spending nearly two Benjamins.

X-wide width fits very well.

This is my third pair of Hoka Bondis and they are terrific.

Nothing wrong with these shoes, but they are much wider than my Bondi 7 wide

I'm a big Hoya fan, however they changed the material that affixes the tongue to the bottom of the shoe. It's not as elastic as it was. Therefore, with my high arch, the tongue will not pull over to the center of the shoe. So basically, tongue is always in incorrect position.

Toe box on the Bondi 8 feels smaller than Bondi 7. The cushioning and heel support felt great just tight across the toes.

The same issue with putting together the shoe continues. Sew the tongue in straight, please.

I love it this shoes. Maximum cushion put me forward when i run every other day. It has one thing not good for me. The outsole starts worn out even though i run total 20km.

Bondi's got me out of 3 years of plantar fascitis. The 6 was awesome, 7 less comfy, but I had to try the 8. Awesome comfort and support. Only problem is, the heel loop tore off the first time I tried them on! I hope this isn't a sign.

When are they going to come up with better colors and design for younger crowd who also have foot issues and this is there fix. Sad thing when a kid 30 guy wears same shoes as his 71 year old mother. I am speaking of bindi 7 with almost identical colors.

Overall beautiful silhouette! HOWEVER, the sharkskin colorway would have been PERFECT without the huge contrasting logo! A smaller heel logo or something more to Al would have been better. Please create more subdued colorways. The Almondmilk Clifton was the best effort at this thus far!

Seems like the cushion is just worn out, have not worn these in several months and decided to send back for an exchange.
