Initially, I was concerned with my balance with these shoes, but after putting some miles on them they have become or I have become able to walk comfortably with no concern of balance.

It's nice to find a shoe that's wide enough for my foot. Overall, a very good shoe that's comfortable. However, I have 3 pairs of Hoka's and always have a problem with the tongue "drifting" to the side. Not a big issue, but a little thing that bothers me. Besides that, a very good shoe that I recommend to friends.

Comfortable and good for running. My old model of this shoe has a rip on the side of the inner shoe and plastic pieces are popping out near the back end of each shoe on inside top.

I have had great luck with Hoka, but my latest experience was not as good as I have experienced in the past. These are not as comfortable and I will need to look at another Hoka for better walking and workouts.

I use the Bondi 8 for walking. Even if I just go to the store to shop. Very comfortable. The only reason I didn't give a 5 is because nothing on this earth is perfect.

....would probably get 2 more pair if they would make it in wider sizes.

Overall, the shoe looks massive. It is massive. But it's actually a little too tight around the toe box for me.
Otherwise, it has great cushioning and is very comfortable outside of it being tight on my big toe. Well balanced for weight distribution. We will see how it handles where and tear over time because I tend to walk about 18 miles per week.

I bought the extra wide and the midsole is still not as wide as I would prefer/need. The inside of my feet "feel" the rubber sole at the arch. Replacing the insole with a better one has made some improvement. The color is terrific!

I have some foot issues and an extra wide foot; so I like plush extra wide. Just wish they came in blue to wear with jeans, chinos, etc. And I wear a lot of blue.

Immediately you can tell the quality of this shoe, very happy with the details. Unfortunately I have wide feet and wasn't sure whether to order wide or extra wide. I ended up trying the widealso unfortunately my wife threw away the box before I had a chance to confirm and am finding out I wish I could exchange for the 10.5 extra wide. That was my error, no fault of the shoe. I must say everything about the shoe is fantastic just made the error of width. I will try again for my next shoe! You should buy too, you won't be disappointed!!!

I originally purchased a pair of the Bondi 8 in size 10 and while it was very comfortable when walking on a treadmill, but once I returned to walking outdoors, I developed a blister on the inside of my right heel. I sent the shoes back to Hoka and exchanged them for another pair and once again, they were comfortable on a treadmill, but walking outdoors initiated another blister. I walk between 5-6 miles each time and what I experienced is the reason for a 4 star rating. If I did not have the blister problem, they definitely would have been given a 5.

The design makes these slightly longer than the Bondi 7. They do feel lighter. The gusset on one side makes the tongue slip in that direction. And the gusset is on the inside of the right and outside on the left. Ver strange. I will like need to cut it off.

The Bondi 8 is incredible. It's styling is better than the seven and the foam is more responsive than the 7. However the only drawback is the foam on the collar, the part that goes around the lateral part of the ankle is to stiff and hurts at times. I had to try to remedy this with my own form which is not all that helpful. The collar foam of the Bondi 7 was perfect. Hope they can use that collar in the future because the sneaker is fabulous otherwise.

I love this shoe, however there is definitely a problem when the center arch pinching one's foot. I know three others at work (we are standing 8-12 hours per shift) with same shoe and all of us noticed the pain from center foot pinching both feet. The rest of the shoe is perfect, but I may not buy this one again until I try other models. I have the wide version too, and not sure why they designed the center arch so narrowly pointed that it pinches your foot. After two weeks it seems to have leveled out but I do think it's a problem and a design flaw. For being nearly $200 that shouldn't be an issue whatsoever. However, it's still a fantastic shoe for standing if you can bear the center issue.

I first bought the Bondi7 and now the 8. These shoes are great. I have one complaint, I bought the black and white color and the HOKA insignia on the side of the shoe is white and looks like a billboard on my shoe. The insignia is smaller on other models, I tried them but this is the shoe that I need for my foot issues.

I am a big Bondi fan, however, there is a definite inconsistency in the cushioning effect of my last four pairs. The foam density varies dramatically.

I like the comfort this shoe brings for taking long walks after having knee and spine surgery. The shoe offers plenty of cushion, but I gave four stars instead of five because the shoe is narrower in the midsole than the Bondi 6 shoes I replaced. The orthotics I used in the Bondi 6 would not fit in the Bondi 8 so I had to reorder a wider size.
