This is my first ever pair of Hoka shoes. Really love the great cushioning which is fantastic when running on roads. I opted for a wide fit which makes my toes feel great. The colours are amazing.....no other shoe has such brilliant colours. But these are expensive shoes and currently ship only within the US so I have to wait for my next trip to buy another pair!

Just breaking them in but they are soooo comfortable. Need to figure out what works best for periodic cleaning.

This version of the Bondi surprised me. I was really hoping to experience the same springy cushion "walking on jelly bears" of the 6. The 7's have been a let down for me.
When I first put the 8's on I was not happy at first. Great support but THOUGHT still not as much spring cushion. As you wear they do soften up just a few days and the support is much better than the 6. So if you loved the 6 and not the 7s I would go with the eights.

Having owned two pairs of the Bondi 7 and them being the best shoe I've ever stepped foot in, it was a given that I would try out the new Bondi 8s. They even carry them in my 4E width, which is a plus. That said, they are not like the Bondi 7s. The 7s had a massive amount of cushioning that the 8s just don't have. It's immediately apparent. The cushioning was the reason I bought the 7s and I'm sad that the 8s didn't carry that aspect over. They look nice and they're still better than a pair of mainstream tennis shoes but these aren't like the Hokas I'm used to. I'm sad that I'll have to look elsewhere for that level of cushioning now.

As I have bunions and wide feet and am a hiker, the available shoes are limited. I wore a few pair of Altras as they have a large toe box, but they are a flat sole shoe with minimal cushioning. I stumbled across the Hoka Bondis whilst search for wide hiking shoes. Although they are not hiking shoes per se, the first pair works just fine for hiking and are extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the inside back of the shoes are breaking apart and I don't know why I've never had this issue with any shoes in the past. Due to limited options for wide feet shoes and the fact that the Bondis are extremely accommodating and comfy, I just purchased a second pair in hopes that the issues with the first pair is isolated and not a systemic design/construction flaw. This is why I give them a 4 star review. If the second pair holds up (fingers crossed), I would gladly come back and raise the review as they are a very comfortable shoe and they look good as well.

I purchased 2 Bondi 8 shoes at the same time; one black and one gray. Same size. Same width. The black shoe fits better than the gray shoe. The gray show is a bit longer and wider. The black shoe has the tongue sewn on the inside of both shoes while the tongue on the gray shoe is not sewn on either side. Hmmmm. Although both are awesome shoes, I like the black shoe better. Both are 12EE but the gray show is more like a 12.5EE. Don't get me wrong. If I received only the gray shoe and not both shoes at the same time the gray shoe would receive a 5star. In comparison however I give the gray shoe a 4star and the black shoe a 5star. Buy either color. Awesome shoes.

The Hoka's I purchased provides great comfort and support for my poor back. I love these sneakers. However, I just wished they would breathe a bit better after extended wearing periods. Overall, a great sneaker and I wouldn't go back to any other.

The Bondi 8 lacks the toe cap in the front upper part of the shoe that the Bondi 7 had. So the upper part of the shoe lacks the strength of the previous model.

The cushion and support is good, but I like the look and build quality of the Bondi 7 better. Probably the biggest difference in my opinion is the Bondi 7 had this useful rubber around the top of the shoe that helped prevent the mesh from getting worn out. From the top my Bondi 7 still looked great, however I wore the sole out after several months of every day use including walking 3 miles in the morning before starting a day full of work. Are the Bondi 8's comfortable.absolutely! I just miss my Bondi 7's.

Really like the sneakers! Took a few wears to break in but once they did they have became the most comfortable pair of sneakers that I have purchased. Will buy again.

I work in the medical field, on my feet and moving constantly.
I bought and used the Blondi 7s for 7 mos, probably 2+ mos longer than i should have. I could tell that they were starting to break down when my feet were starting to ache. I decided to buy another pair and the Blondi 8s had come out so i decided to try them. The 8s took about 3 weeks to adequately break-in. At first, they were loose fitting, despite being the same size as the 7s i had previously. So I tightened the laces, but then they were hurting my feet. I struggled to lace them up adequately for weeks and almost returned them. Then I noticed the fit improve and I am again happy with the fit. I know improvements were made to the midsole, I just didn't expect a longer break-in than the 7s. Time will tell, only had them for 4 wks, but still very cushiony and now comfortable.

Play the size of Hoka shoes run small in width. They got the size overall right but people with wide feet are not welcome.

My Ortho Dr recommended Hoka. I need a extra wide shoe. They're to narrow even at 4E.

Love them but have only one complaint.
The fabric above the toes tends to wrinkle and detracts from the appearance

I love the feel and the comfort. I wear it often. From the side it looks good but looking down on the sneaker the sneaker looks wide. It's just something I'm not use too. I would like for it to look slimmer.

The shoe needs to have better arch support. Otherwise it is a good comfortable shoe. Heard great comments by another family member who loved the shoes.

First and foremost, they are ENORMOUSLY comfortable and light. The responsiveness of the sole when striding is amazing.
The only real downside for me is that they are hot. I find they do not breathe.
(and they look kind of clunky but the feel is worth it!)

I like how plush the shoe feels when I walk. I bought these for work and I no longer have any foot pain when I walk on my left heel. The only thing I would like to note is if anybody buys inserts and puts them into these shoes they squeak like in SpongeBob even with Vaseline put under the bottoms and sides. Besides this I am very happy. One more note I wish there was a little more room towards the front of the shoe for my toes so they don't feel tight when walking. Thanks again.

The new bondi 8 are very comfortable and good for walking and running but I do miss the sole that the bondi 7 used to have. It would make the perfect shoe if they put a conditioned and comfortable sole.

I have probably bought 5 or 6 pairs of the Bondi but am not a fan of the design changes. The Bondi 8 has its tongue attached on one side of the shoe with an elastic piece, feels a bit awkward centering the tongue. A first world problem for sure but my love affair with the Bondi just took a little hit.
