Wanted to get these after breaking my leg in April and having a rod inserted. They give me that much more support and my knee doesn't hurt as bad. These are my second pair. My first was a trail shoe that took me from 2.5 miles to 6 just by taking away my lower back pain.
Sharkskin colors does not appear to have any blue on bottom. Only grey all over

Bondi8: more stable, less plush than Bondi 7
Love the stability!

This is my 3rd pair, they have been amazing. The reason for only 4 star rating is that my current pair had a small issue, but have just sent back for a replacement pair. Hoka took great care of me with the issue. (Small squeaky sound from right heal)

I have Bondi 7 with me. They are perfect the way they fit . They have more cushion than Bondi 8 . I don't know why Bomdi 8 feel differently less cushion in the front part of my feet. I feel a burning sensation. Never happened before.

These are as soft as the Bondi 7. I got wide this time, feels good. These are a very wide soled shoe.

I was so pleased with my first purchase that I bought a second pair in a different color. My only complaint about Pair 2 is that the shoes squeak.

My goal with this shoe was to have fewer blisters with an extra wide Bondi 8 than the regular width Arahi 5 which I used last year. To that extent, this shoe was successful. I have reduced and nearly eliminated bottom of the foot blisters by going with a slightly wider toe box with the extra wide Bondi 8 and I am very happy about that. The issue that I experience with the Bondi 8 is more related to my right ankle rubbing against the hard ankle collar of the Bondi8 upper on long walks. It is interesting because my left ankle is fine but my right ankle ends up aching a bit on long walks which at my age (50+) I tend to feel more so than a younger person might. Although the bottom of the shoe is quite stable it seems like the upper around the ankle tends to "lean" inwards just a tad which puts pressure of the hard ankle collar in to my right ankle. I still think the Bondi 8 experience is better than the Arahi 5 experience due to lack of blisters but I'll need to work with options to pad my right ankle with the Bondi8 in order to make long walks consistently good. I haven't got the right solution to that yet but will think about it. Still, a very good shoe and it is what I was looking for with resolving blisters that I had last year. The one thing that I can't evaluate yet is whether the shoe insole will last more than a couple months or not. With the Arahi 5 the shoe insole had holes in them after only 2 months of use. I did hit the trails hard over those 2 months but still I had expected the insoles on the Arahi 5 to hold up longer than that. For the Bondi 8 the insoles are doing well after a month but I haven't worn them enough to see if they are ok or have similar issues to the insoles on the Arahi 5.

This is my third pair of Bondi's, two Bondi 7's and my latest, Bondi 8. I like the Bondi 8. It is a solid shoe and a bit wider than the 7's. I must admit though, I prefer the 7's. I seem to feel the road a bit more (bottom out a bit)than I did with the 7's. I am 63 years of age and run four times a week. I was a competitive distance runner in high school and college and been running for nearly 50 years. As an older runner, the cushioning of the Bondi's has helped prolong my running ability as an endurance addict. I hope the 7's go on sale soon.

I just wish Hoka would make a bigger variety as far as colors in the 4Es. Is sad to see that the extra extra wide shoes are only offered in very few basic colors.

Overall, I like the shoe more than the Bondi 7, but I had to return them because they were too small. my right great toe didn’t have enough room. This was not a problem with the Bondi 6 or 7 that I owned

I like them better than the Hoka Bondi X - I think these feel softer. Comparable to Hoka 7 - not sure I can feel much of a difference from those.

The shoes are very comfortable but slightly tight in terms of width. The material did not leave room to toe expansions (very firm grip), I don't have wide feet, but I developed blisters on my 2 biggest toes and had to return them for the Adidas 4DFW

My podiatrist turned me on to your products, strongly suggesting that your running shoe designs may provide the best support for my foot condition. She was absolutely correct! One suggestion though would be to increase the cushioning under the ball of foot area for others with high arches like mine. High arches put a huge weight impact on both the heel (which you've addressed) and the balls of feet area (which NO manufacturer...including you have paid sufficient attention to).

Product is great. However I have neutral spine and I feel that maybe the mid rocker brings on a issue with discomfort in my upper butt area. I also got this from Sketcher rocker system.
So far the Arahi5 or 7 I purchased I never experienced discomfort in my upper butt area. Maybe 100+ miles with Arahi and so far about 20miles Bondi. I would like to exchange them.

It squeaks when I walk. I returned the original ones (same model) which squeaked hoping that the replacement pair would not squeak but, unfortunately they squeak too.

This is my second set of Hoka Bondi shoes. Overall, I'm a huge fan of these foot pillows. They have very soft yet very stable cushioning. They are a little firmer than the 7's in my opinion but not a deal breaker. The knit uppers are more comfortable than the past model and feels more like a stiff sock.
I have around 175 miles on these and there is noticeable wear in the heels and balls of my foot. I wish they had an option for bright colored shoes with black rubber soles. Personally I feel like the rubber doesn't wear out as fast if it's black. I run in the PNW where there is a good amount of rain and with soles that wear out so fast, it causes them to get very slippery on the wet roads. Also I wish the toe box was just a tad bit wider so my foot has a little room to swell on very long runs. I don't want to go with a wider shoe altogether because it's going to feel sloppy on my foot. Thanks for making amazing shoes and I hope one day I will see the shoes how I wish they were.

I have owned Bondi 5, 7 and just received 8. I do my exercising (walking) almost exclusively on asphalt and concrete surfaces. The under soles of Bondi 5 held up great, but 7 and 8 seem to not wear well on the hard surfaces. I will probably switch to a different style next time.

Like many people my feet tend to supinate and wear out the outside of my shoes quickly, leading to more supination. I always wear skeckers max cushioning elites and premiers but thought Id try hoka bondi 8 as it is a neutral stance shoe and without proper footwear knees get stressed. I have never used hokas before and have only had these 3 weeks. I got the extra wide. The skechers wear good but the foam on the outside ok the foot breaks down after a couple months and make the supination worse. I am hoping the hokas last longer than 2 months! So far they are better for supination but not as confortable as skechers. They are also more narrow than skechers so my pinky toe suffers. I wont know if foam breaks down for a few months. I have thought about returning them because the the pinky toe pain but I am going to keep them to see if foam breaks down.
