Needed a pair of trail shoes. These are not nearly as soft or as flexible as the regular Hoka walking shoes. They rubbed a good sized blister across the top of my foot. I washed them hoping to make them a bit softer.

These did not work for my foot shape, which is the Egyptian foot shape, Big toe longest, rest of the toes on a 45 degree slant. I wear a size 9 in Graviota, Challenger, and Cliftons. I sized up to a 9.5 after reading reviews, and my inserts from my size 9s fit edge to edge in the 9.5s. The length seemed shorter than my other sized 9 Hokas, but was fine. However the rest of the shoe from the mid to the heel was really big and loose, and I couldn't get them tight enough, and the shoe was bending at the wrong spot in the toe box. They also just looked really long and huge on me.
I really wanted vibram soles for my job, I guess Ill have to wait until another style comes along.

Very comfortable and very good traction. Was on the fence about returning. In the end I kept them as I got a discount on this pair at a local store. Two major problems - I would not purchase again. Shoe runs small - specifically short, so my toe hits the end. Second, and really the dealbreaker is the protruding heel. Whatever benefit it provides on the open trail is negated by how frequently it caught on stairs, getting in and out of the car, etc. When walking on steps and stairs I have to intentionally place my foot out further so the back doesn't catch as I step down. Hopefully this protruding heel will fall out of favor in new models.

These shoes look and feel great. However, the top part of the shoe where the laces are woven through appear to be unfinished. They end of the stitching doesn't match on the right and left shoe, and was also different across multiple pairs that I ordered in an effort to get a better pair. I'm concerned about how these are going to hold up with continued wear

I really like the look of these but they just weren't comfortable for me. The heel padding piece really bothered me and they just seemed too stiff for me.

I love Hokas but these, for me, were just awful! The heal padding part was really uncomfortable and these didn't seem to have as much cushioned feel as my Arahis or Bondis.

I was so excited to finally get a pair of breathable non-Gore-Tex hiking shoes (and boots) with good cushion from HOKA. I ordered these and the mid high boots the same day they were released. My first impression looking at them was that they were very cute, but the mesh around the toes on one shoe was funky. A poor job of sewing it in with excess mesh material "billiwing"/bunching. Almost looked like the material had been stretched out in a weird way. Once I stuck my feet in the shoes, the sizing felt spot on, the cushion, stability, and grip were excellent. The fit, however, was a bit off. It felt slightly narrow and pointed in the toe box, but loose around the ankles/collar. The threading on the inside of the shoe that extends from the bottom of the tongue and laces out toward the midsole of the shoe (thread runs horizontally across the big toe joint) can be troublesome. On one shoe, that threading literally had knots in it. The little stiff knots hit my toe (I have a very minor bunion) and this was immediately bothersome. The other shoe had the same rough threading across the outside of the foot (at midfoot near pinky toe). If you run your fingers along the inside of the shoe, you can feel it. My guess is that not all shoes will have this since each of my shoes only had this issue on one side. With thick socks this might not be an issue for others. I wear very thin socks. The swallow tail heel is interesting. I can't pass full judgement since I returned the shoes before hiking in them. It's basically a stand alone cushion that's sewn into the heel. While it felt okay, I'm not convinced that it won't rub on my heel during a 10 mile hike. I could feel it pushing against my achilles slightly. All in all, these were a bit of a miss for me. They have the comfort and function, but the flaws had me returning them. They have to be perfect if I'm going to do all my hiking in them. I'd still recommend trying themthey might fit your feet better.

I have three pairs of HOkAS so I am a fan ! I have Two pair of walking shoes, and one hiking boot I believe my first pair was the Bondi 7 My second pair, I ordered a white mesh just to have( fashionista . Lol ) I do not remember the style but both fit rather nicely and my feet feel great when I wear them ! I ordered a men's hiking boot because they were on sale from $220-down to $160 kaha GTX mid ankle ! I love them. I was turned onto the Hoka by a physical therapist. My left foot has arthritis and I supinate off the side of all shoes as well . .These shoes allow my stride to be straight or more corrected ! I can walk for miles without pain I wanted a "walking/hiking shoe" for a trip that I have planned I'm taking one pair of shoes, and one pair of slip pjs for dinner ! I ordered this shoe dispute no reviews. When they arrived, the mesh in the toebox looked like it was not sewn in appropriately, as both shoes were very, very wrinkled in toe boxes when I was wearing the shoes It was so ugly I just could not bear to keep them Although the foot bed felt great I just could not get past the look of the shoe So I am on to looking for another shoe that I can use for hiking when I get home but will be appropriate for Egyptians tours of cities and periminds ! The walking shoes of the Bondi seven and my white ones are just too slick for dirt trails that have the slightest elevation I'm 70 years old and don't need to fall ! . I have gone to two of our shoe stores that carry Hoka but they are into heavy, running or heavy trails, and they just don't have exactly what I want I hope I can find a pair and not return them My feet are important to me, and I think the Lord forHoka's fabulous return policy !

My feet and back hurt after teaching a 3 hour lab. I was hoping these would replace my old HOKA boots I've had for 15 years.. But nope. Sent them back

This shoe is gorgeous in appearance. I really love the blush and khaki combination. Sadly, this shoe is so uncomfortable. The exterior heel of the shoe is long making it difficult to navigate down stairs and uneven surfaces that require you to step down. I wear a size 9 so I needed to tilt my foot size ways to safely step down a flight of stairs as to not bump the back of the shoe on the stair. Because it's meant to be a trail running shoe the entire surface of the shoe is tilted forward which caused my entire foot to constantly side forward in the shoe. Ultimately not a good fit for my use of the shoe and foot type. Sending back! They sure were pretty in appearance though!

The shoes fit great upon arrival. It felt like I was walking on sunshine. After a few days, I wore them on my regular 3 mile walk. The lower part of my right arch near the heel began to feel irritated. I wore them again the next day for the same walk, wanting to see if it was a fluke. This time the same irritation came, along with the beginnings of a large blister. It felt like the padding was rubbing. The only thing different was that I wore thin socks on the first few days and regular socks for the walks. I ended up returning the shoes and I am working through my disappointment. I was really looking forward to these shoes.

I own the Clifton 9 and the Transport, both size 8. However, the Anacapa Breeze Low, sizes 8 and 8-1/2 were both too small as my toe pushed to the edge. The incline from the heal to toe is greater than in either of my current shoes. I wanted to love them but have found a better fit for my foot in my other two styles. Thank you for asking.

This style does not have the comfort as my other HOKA shoes. The rim around the toe of the shoe causes discomfort. I originally ordered my regular size 8, but seemed too tight. I returned them and reordered size 8.5, but the toe was still not comfortable, but the size was right.

Very comfortable shoes, but I would not buy them again because of the overall poor quality. I splurged because I have joint problems and I wanted something that would provide adequate support. It's honestly unbelievable for shoes at this price point to come with so many seams showing glue etc. The seams on one of them look like they won't make it through six months, but my usual sneakers are worn down and I need to start using these today so I won't send them back. Definitely only buy these on sale, they should cost maybe half of what they cost.

The heel and arch support were good, but then it sloped down to hard surface with no support between the arch and the toe area. Somewhat disappointing, because I loved the design and color.
I returned the ANACAPA and got the W Bondi 8 which checked all the boxes. I love the feel and support the shoe provides, though I had to settle for a color I wouldn't have normally chosen.

The left foot feels like there is a lump on the bottom near my small toe which is uncomfortable. The tongue slips to the side making the shoelaces cut across my front ankle area.

I really like the style and colors of this show but the tongue really dug into the front of my foot and no matter how much I tried moving it around it was really painful to walk in.

After having the shoes for two months and using them just for city walking, the bumps on the soles are coming off. I'm disappointed in the quality for the price. I don't think they would hold up well hiking if they are already breaking this quickly. Do not recommend.

Used shoes hiking in Dolomites in fall, submitted review, shoes good for trail, but not enough support for me on the more difficult via ferrata foot placements. But overall I was pleased with the shoes. I have not worn the shoes for several months. Two items of note having pulled the boots out again for action. Noticed significant wear on the heel tabs of both shoes and some along the fabric rim as fabric is peeling and falling apart. I can live with that unless the rest of the shoe to disintegrates. Second item is more serious: Hiking now in the rain and there is zero Goretex protection anymore. Shoes were stored in closet. Don't know what happened. Have had other brands of Goretex hiking shoes/boots and never had this issue.
