Nice looking sneaker, however the fit in the toecap is quite tight. Quality is excellent, however I am going to try a shoe stretcher and see what happens.

A little disappointed in this show. I expected them to have the same fit as the XC4 H1 Luxe Hybrid golf shoes from JM, but they don't. Just not enough room for my orthotic to fit comfortably.

the look of the shoe is great. the fit is too loose, the weight is appropriate. the sole is adequate. frankly I was hoping for more.-+

A handsome shoe that is difficult to slip.on foot. Because of it's waterproof design, the shoe has no tongue. You must wedge your foot into the shoe.

I have average width feet and have never needed a wide before. These are extremely tight and are not adjustable as the entire upper is one solid piece of material. There is no gusset and tongue to allow for any give. The laces cannot really be loosened because of this. There is not a wide option available from what I can tell so I will be sending them back. If you have wide feet, abort.

I want to love these shoes, but I can only like them at best. They look better than they feel - I do get a lot of compliments on them. For starters, my feet sweat a lot in these. The lacing system is pointless as these are really just slip on shoes (tying them tighter won't change the fit around the ankle area - just make the top of your foot more uncomfortable). The worst part about the XC4-TR1 Sport is that your toes are smooshed at the top. The shoe fits; it's just that the upper squeezes your toes like someone is standing on them. It's very uncomfortable. I wore these at a conference one day and took them off while sitting through sessions because they're uncomfortable if you wear them all day. Again, they look cool and I will say the midsole is comfortable to walk on, but the upper is flat out crappy.

Would be a great show if not for the removable sole. The removable sole slides around and tends to pull out of shoe when I take the shoes off. At first, I thought it was a manufacturing defect and was going to call customer service. But it is part of the design so that a medium width can be converted to a wide - saves J&M from having to stock shoes in varying widths. Can't decide if I should return, live with it or glue it. It's a mighty expensive shoe to require fixing.

A friend recommended this brand to me after he loved some shoes he got, and I decided to try them out instead of just giving Nike more money. I like the look of the shoe, but the comfort disappointed me a little. There's very little padding near the back of the heel, and I found that despite the toes having the appropriate amount of room, I feel some rubbing on the back of my heel and pressure on the top of my foot. I was also surprised at the ineffectiveness of the laces, which are more for show than adjusting fit. This is a blessing and a curse, since you get the benefit of the shoes being slip-ons, but the downside of being stuck with the looseness of a slip-on. The waterproofing and bottom tread is good in snow compared to my old Nikes. I have concerns about this shoe's suitability for hiking or athletics, but I'll find out in a few months. Overall, I'm lukewarm on them, especially considering the substantial price tag.

Not very comfortable when you put your orthotics in. These shoes should have enough room to put one in. I will need to return them since I do wear my orthotics

I tried this shoe and did not like that it has no tongue - I don't want to use a shoe horn to put on sneekers

If you don't look closely at the photo, you might think these shoes have a tongue. They don't! The laces also have no effect on the size of opening. Point being, if your instep is bigger than average, you will never to able to get these shoes on your feet. I couldn't, not even using a shoe horn. There is a sister similar style (Luxe, I think) that indeed does have a tongue.

Good shoes. Like them. But they run "large". size 10 is almost like 10.5 or even a 11. My next one may be a 9.5... it may be a better fit then.

looks great and is comfortable but slip on design actually makes the heel slip noticeably when walking, not comfortable for this reason to walk/run. cannot tighten laces enough to make a difference.

I bought these shoes about 1 year ago with minimal use for going out and they are very comfortable. The bottom is mostly made of plastic and has cracked in two spots and now makes a noise every time I walk in them. I would not recommend this shoe if you're looking to keep more than a year

I've had many pairs of JM shoes, albeit none sneakers, and they all fit perfectly despite not even being sized as wide specifically. These sneakers were some of the narrowest I've tried on. Shame

Shoes look good, but way too tight in toes and they killed my feet after wearing for just a few minutes. I returned them.

Too tight shoes. Outside of the shoes are made up of some kind of fabric thread and within 15 days outside thread came out in a small area may be due some damage so I had to cut it out. See photo. Otherwise very sturdy though. Good if you have slender feet.
