I LOVE this sweater. I loved it when I saw it online, and I love it more now that I'm wearing it. It's solid (weight) but not too heavy. The firebrick color is totally gorgeous. The length is perfect, too. I'm 5'5" and about 150 lbs. A medium fits great and isn't too long for me. I've only worn it once so don't have much to say about longevity, but so far so good!

This sweater runs very big, I'm normally a Medium (in the Signature Fishermans sweater I'm a Medium) but in this shirt x-small fit perfectly! I'm 5'-6" 137lbs.

Love the design and fit of this sweater. The color (blue) is really nice and I like the wider neck. The two zippers on he sides add a nice touch. Am very happy with it.

This is my absolutely all-time favorite sweater. I ordered one last year, I went down one size as many reviews suggested, and it fits perfectly.
I get compliments every time I wear it, partly because of the side zippers (so cute) and the way cables have that "washed" look, which really highlights the texture.
It keeps me so warm here in Colorado! Last year I purchased it in navy, this year I'm trying the beige. Looking forward to taking them both on a trip to Alaska in December (on a northern lights/arctic circle/30th anniversary trip!). I know it won't disappoint. I wear a cotton turtleneck underneath, although I'm planning to add an undershirt as well for my trip.

I love this sweater. It is nice and thick, warm, and beautiful. It feels very quality made, has a very flattering pattern, and sits attractively on my body. I'm 5'6" with an average build, just a tad curvy, and the sweater isn't bulky or shapeless but comfy and pretty. Would recommend

This sweater is a classic that will never go out of style. It's made well, with a good weight, but not too heavy, beautiful style including the extra detail of side zips. I purchased the cream color, in my normal size large and it fit well.

The new light blue is a sophisticated light blue with a bit of a greyish cast. Lovely! I liked the orange-ish color as well, but my husband didn't care for that color. I thought the yarn was soft enough, and that the arms were the perfect size around. (I have muscular arms and shoulders.) Now for my mistake--I should have called Bean to find out the total length of the sweater before ordering. I am 5 ft 3 in and the sweater literally comes only 2.5 inches above my knees. It is straight on the sides from armpit to bottom hem, so not flattering as a dress, and too long to even wear over leggings. Sadly returning them.

What a great sweater. Great for Fall with just a T-shirt under it and so cozy for Winter with layers.
This is my second (I have it in green because of my love for this sweater.)
Great buy !!!!

This is my 4th Fisherman tunic so you can see I really like them! I have the natural color, washed blue, russet and this year's light blue which is very pretty. Whenever I wear one of these sweaters I always get compliments. Love the side zippers and the tunic length which looks great with leggings. It is a heavy weighted sweater but I think any substantial well made fisherman's sweater should be made that way. For reference I am 5'7", 133#, 34D and I took a size Small. The arms are long enough and the shoulders fit perfectly and it doesn't itch!! Can't wait to see what colors they come out with next!

Fits great. The medium is a little on the large size but really looks great with the new Kick Boot Jeans.

I have wanted this sweater for 3 years and finally bought the black on sale with an extra 25% off. It will be a while before I can wear it in the South, but I love everything about it. It is warm, a great length for leggings or skinny jeans, and feels great. The zippers don't bother me but aren't necessary either. I am go glad I finally ordered this sweater! If it holds it's shape, it will be perfect.

I purchased this beautiful sweater in the orange spice color. The rounded hem and short side zippers are so fashionable, and the longer length is perfect with jeans, long skirts and slim pants - maybe even leggings! The fit is flattering; I have long arms and often a size medium doesn't have long-enough sleeves. The raglan sleeves ensure no bulk at the shoulders, and drapes beautifully.
The knit is substantial, as is the lustrous cotton yarn, but it washed well and despite taking quite a while to dry (I tossed in the dryer for 10 minutes then hung to dry completely), it looks great.
I highly recommend adding this sweater to your fall and winter wardrobe!

I purchased this sweaterr in off-white about 2 years ago and get so many compliments on it and was thrilled to find it at the store in a great fall burnt orange and on sale! It is incredibly warm and comfortable. I love the zippers on the side which add just a touch of something different from a simple pull-over.

Love the zips on the sides and it is easy to keep casual or dress up with a shirt and boots. Definitely size down.

I ordered a Medium and it fits perfectly, with room for shrinkage.
I usually order M/L from most companies and vary between size 10-14 (pregnancy and post baby). I would say I am a 12 at the moment. My normal measurements are 38-30-40; I am 5'6" and am 175 lbs with a muscular build. I have large shoulders and did not find that the arms were too tight at all.
Great quality; heavy but not chunky so it falls well.

I purchased this in coral. I've worn it several different ways already - with jeans and skechers, around the house with joggers, with a denim skirt and knee high boots, with pencil point pants and a scarf and ankle boots. I think I've received compliments on it every time. There are cute/trendy zippers on the side by the hips. Fit is slimming for what you would think would be bulkier style. They would be great with leggings too.

I was afraid this sweater would be too "heavy" and to my surprise it was perfect. In fact, this is the 2nd sweater of this style... I ordered the navy sweater first & loved it so much ordered one more.
the fit is perfect and the cut/style is very flattering. I'm not a tall person 5'5", the length just seems to be perfect. As I was wearing my navy sweater at church one of the ladies commented that she too had looked at it online... after seeing it in person, she was ordering. :)

I purchased this sweater this spring and absolutely love it! It's substantial in weight and so well made! The only thing I wish is that LLBean clothing was made in the USA like it used to be.

I got the Auburn color and it is so comfortable I ordered a slate black one! So warm and cozy and just the perfect touch of casual elegance. LL Bean has done it again! Thank you so much!

I had my eye on this sweater for a couple of months before I actually bought it because the piece is a bit pricey. However, when there was a 25% off promotion, I snagged it. It's a really beautiful and well-made sweater - it's thick and heavy but for me personally, it won't keep me entirely warm unless I have a layer or 2 underneath as I am always cold. The length is adequate and it fits me exactly as it does on the model which is what I really wanted so I'm very happy about that. As per other reviewers' recommendations, I sized down. I'm 5'6" and a true XS with a small bust and was a bit skeptical that the sleeves won't fit but everything fit perfectly in XXS! I have found that the material is a bit scratchy but that won't be a problem for me since I'll have a layer underneath it. I don't have any complaints about the neck like others do as I like it the way it is....kinda makes it a bit different and unique.
If you're on the fence about it but your wallet can afford it, get it!! You'll be completely in love!!
I am!! So much so that I bought a 2nd one <3

After reading the positive reviews I decided to order this sweater. I live in Syracuse, NY where the winters are cold and it doesn't help that I'm normally cold anyway.
This sweater fits the bill- it's heavy yet comfortable. I've received many compliments. I couldn't tell from the pictures but there are two zippers on the side also.
Highly recommend It

I love this sweater, but not the price. It's really well made, thick, and the colors are lovely. But it's expensive so I only bought one as a treat splurge. They run big so keep that in mind. For reference, I'm 5'3", 130lbs, 37" bust. Normally LL Bean medium is perfect for me but in this sweater I need a small. And there's still room for a turtleneck underneath. The scooped hem and side zippers are nice touches and even though it's cotton, it's plenty warm for NE winters as it's very thick and tightly woven.
