This sweater is so great. It's just the right amount of heavy. The quality is great. It does run a little large so keep that in mind when ordering. I highly recommend, and it was worth every penny. This is a lifetime sweater

Love the sweater - well made and will last a long time. It does run large so I would recommend going down a size. Seen this in reviews and still ordered my size. It does fit, as I always wear something under it. I also dried it so it would shrink a bit. Would love this sweater in a turtle neck version even more.

I really love this update on a classic fisherman's sweater. I was looking for a warm, cotton sweater -- this fits the bill. And I didn't realize it has little zippers on the bottom band on the sides. It makes it kind of float gracefully over my hips instead of being tight and bulky. This and the open collar gives it a feminine fit.

Let me start with, I NEVER write reviews. This is my favorite sweater. I have to stop myself from wearing it, because as much as I try to convince myself otherwise - people WILL notice if I wear the same thing everyday. The material is great, the fit is perfect, it doesn't stretch out much during the day like other sweaters I own. The color (I got the light blue) is beautiful. I even like the zippers on the side, adds a little touch to something that will be classic forever. It feels like a sweater that is going to last and last.

Generous, soft and warm. I love the heavy, soft cotton. It is gently shaped (a loose fit for easy layering) -- most days I just pair it with a t-shirt for an extra hit of color and warmth at the neckline. Love the blue.

I had my eye on this sweater but had a hard time with the price. I was fortunate to buy it at the LLBean store on clearance. It is a nice thickness. I love the baby blue color that I bought. It has the bonus of long sleeves (I have long arms) and it covers my backside. LOVE IT with leggings.

I already bought this sweater in an XX-Small on sale in the Washed Navy and loved it.
(I am 5' 2" and 120 lbs.) I then ordered a second one this time in the beige color, in an X-Small which I thought would give me more room for layering BUT it turned out to be too long on me. I am mailing it back. I went ahead and reordered the beige in the XX-Small and it is just fine in length. With my first of these sweaters I found, they will stretch a bit after a couple of wears so it worked great for me. My only criticism of this tunic sweater is the necks are about two inches too large (wide). I will wear a plaid or denim shirt under it, so not a big problem. Be aware that this sweater is made from a coarse cotton yarn, not a soft fluffy kind. If soft is what you want, this isn't for you. I personally love the heavy weight and the texture, and would consider buying a third one.

I purchased 3 of these. They fit perfectly! I decided to buy the medium because of the other reviews regarding the sleeves. Yes, the sleeves are a little snug, but you can still layer and be comfortable. They wash beautifully. I always wash my sweaters inside out & never use the dryer for them. I recommend this sweater.

I love this sweater so much i bought three more in different colors:) This sweater does run quite large. I normally buy XL or sometimes even 2XL for tops but the large was definitely the way to go. Thank goodness I read the reviews before I bought the sweater. Would definitely recommend! Now if only they would make this exact same design in 100% wool.....

This is one of the most flattering statement pieces of clothing I own.
I am extremely fair skinned and have red hair. I tend to go with earth tones. However, I took a chance with this tunic sweater in the sale three tone (cream, khaki, black/white mixture) and I loved it the moment I put it on. I bought another in the black slate, and a third in the shadow blue.
This sweater is extremely flattering, durable good material, and a perfect balance of warm and not too heavy.
I am curvy and athletic, with broad shoulders. The Medium was way too much material on me. The smalls were a perfect length and amount.
Wearing the blue one tomorrow, and very excited about it :)

I now have two of this style sweater, one in wine color I purchased fall of 2017, and a black marl, in winter of 2018. The one I purchased in 2017 seems a heavier weight than the one purchased in 2018, but both are well-made. I have worn the wine colored one numerous times and also washed it many times (gentle, cold and lay on drying rack to dry). It shows no signs of pilling and still looks great. This one is definitly the warmer of the two. The black one I have also worn several times since purchasing but have yet to wash. The sweater does run large, but goes so nicely with leggings or jeans. I love the pattern and style of the sweaters except I do wish the neckline were more of a crew than boat neck. I always wear scarves with them. These are definitly some of my favorites and I am pleased with how well last year's has held up. It is too much for me to afford at full proce but definitly worth it to purchase on sale.

I bought the blue sweater. I have been watching this sweater for about a year and decided to purchase with the 20% discount. I love it. It fits loosely with XS. I chose the size according to other reviews so I went a size smaller than usual. It is comfortable. It is thick but not real bulky. It feels good on my skin- not itchy. It is forgiving for the belly. The collar is just right and doesn't show the bra strap. I've worn it a few times now for few hours a piece and will be washing it before next wear so don't know how it will look after washing. I will wash in delicate cold cycle and flat dry. Very satisfied so far. It is not a sexy sweater but a comfy one. Just sayin'

I always buy cotton because wool is too itchy and hot for Florida. Great for our cold days here in Daytona Beach, FL.

This sweater is very pretty, thick, well made, and high quality! I bought a large, but I could have done the medium easily. It covers my behind. Perfect with the LLBean fleece lined Polartec, Powerstretch tights. Very happy with this item. The blue is a nice shade as well.

I love this sweater. It is heavy and it is roomy, just what I was looking for in a fisherman's sweater. I purchased this in a medium and it fits perfectly, so I feel the sweater runs large. My first purchase was a large when I was 25 pounds heavier and that fit perfectly as well, so I would recommend ordering a size down from what you normally wear. The only thing I would change is the neckline, but I always wear a t-neck or mock t-neck under it so it really doesn't bother me that much. And I love that it is cotton.

I love this sweater! I had one for years, which finally gave out. It is very hard to find a Cotton Fishermans' Sweater. I am allergic to wool, which would be to hot in even the warmest day where I live. The only thing I didn't like was that there are two little zippers at the bottom of both sides. They serve no purpose and do not add to the style. As everything else was just what I wanted, its not a huge issue.

I got this as a Christmas gift (I picked it out) and it's everything I was hoping for. It goes with almost every pair of pants I have. My only concern is how long it will take to dry after washing....it's so heavy.

Thick, substantial weave like the wool original. Love the neckline. I wear a base layer underneath the sweater and it's warm and comfy in the damp winters of the Pacific Northwest. Some reviewers said the sleeves were too tight, but I had no problem with the sleeve dimensions...and I have fairly muscular arms.

I love chunky sweaters but generally don't look good in them.... they make me look busty, frumpy and generally larger in size than I actually am, BUT this sweater does not do that. I am a size 12, bust size 36DDDD and the Medium fit well, looks awesome with leggings and boots and so I ordered a second sweater. They are heavy, but they are also warm and since I love to be warm it's perfect. They fit just past my 'behind' hitting my upper thigh. I've gotten MANY compliments on the design pattern and the general high quality/classic look to them.
