This is a slightly lighter weight flannel than some of my others. Fits well, very comfortable. Usually wear another shirt under it. No fuzzing or changes after washing and drying.

The shirt is a really nice shirt and very soft and comfortable. It is a little large for the size but definitely a good shirt for winter wear.

I bought this because the color I wanted did not come in the "fitted" option. The flannel fabric is high quality and comfortable and the fit is more or less what I expected given that the shirt is "relaxed fit." The pattern - Bean of Freeport Hunting - is beautiful.

I like everything about the flannel shirt except the collar, which is a bit too large.SC

I already had one plaid flannel shirt, which fit perfectly. This shirt is also a great weight, but it is a little small around the middle. Both shirts are large, but this second one is not true to size.

Nice length. Sits on the hips, covers my butt but not too long. Comfy. 2x fit me perfectly, EXCEPT, the sleeves are too long--they extend to the knuckles on my hands. Also, when I sit, the shirt opens a bit near the button holes. The buttons don't come undone, but you can peek in and see my bra, so the shirt could be a bit wider. Most troublesome are the long sleeves and I've already washed it once.

I love the relaxed flannel shirts. What I don't like about this year's version is the floppy, pajama-like collar. Last year's model was a button-down, and I like that collar much better. Why do they always want to change a good thing?

Cozy, winter-weight flannel. A bit more fuzzy than other flannels. Loose fit which can be worn over a long sleeved shirt. Slight shrinkage after washing & drying, but it still fits. Love the colorful plaid!

Very comfortable flannel. It would be a five star if the arm pits were gusseted. Looks great after wash and light touch up with iron.

The fit is perfect for me, roomy but not swimming. A flannel shirt helps with keeping the thermostat a little lower. Nice looking. The one complaint is that the back hem curls. If it were ironed I suppose that would solve the problem but I'm not about to do that. Not a big deal because I am not wearing this shirt to the prom, although for the price I seek perfection.

I love your flannel shirts...I have several but really like the button down collar better. I will wait until next year to see if those shirts have the button down collar before I order any more.

I love everything about the shirt except one - the plaid isn't matched at side seams and sleeves. As one who sews, I know this uses a bit more fabric, but feel it would be worth it for a shirt that otherwise is gorgeous! This is why I've only rated it 4 stars.

This shirt was LL Bean's typical quality. I think it is a little overpriced and would probably bought more if the shirt wasn't so expensive. My shirt was PL. I am sorry to say the sleeves are about a full inch too long. But I am thankful for a petite shirt.

Went to the L.L.Bean store north of Pgh. There is so much discrepancy on the reviews regarding sizing. I tried on this shirt in my usual Petite Med. size, and then the Petite Sm. It's roomy enough that I was easily able to get the Small, which I was happy about, because with the Med., the sleeves might have been a tad too long. Going down a size was perfect as far as fit in the body and also the sleeve length. Nice flannel. Soft. I would say medium weight. Been a while since I bought a Bean flannel shirt, but I just felt in the mood for one. I have been wearing their flannel robe in the Gordon plaid for the last couple of years. Their flannel wears well, I find.

If you're between sizes, order the larger size. I sent the 1x back and get a 2x. It runs slightly small, especially in upper arms and shoulders. The new one is perfect, although oddly, the sleeves are just a little long. I roll mine up anyway, so I don't really notice. The main thing is, I love the shirt! The slightly larger size fits well. There's room underneath for a t-shirt or waffle-knit, though it doesn't look big or baggy with or without another layer. The shirt allows total freedom of movement. The flannel is thick, soft, and warm. Colors and bright and deep. This shirt is super comfy to wear. Now that days have gotten chillier, I hate to take it off!

I wear these flannel shirts as jackets/sweaters, so I buy them larger than I would if I were going to tuck them in. For reference, I generally wear a size 12-14 top and a 12 bottom. I have several. They get softer with each washing, and these colors are nice. I would love it if Beans would get some other non standard plaids and tattersall. They are well made.

So soft next to my skin - fabric is extremely soft & love the vibrant plaid. Neck size seems large compared to the rest of the shirt, so I would prefer the button-down collar. Overall, nice flannel shirt.

Although I usually wear a size medium, this shirt works best for me in size small. I have two in different colors. After several washings, material has begun to peel a bit--thus, the good rating vs. excellent. Nevertheless, it is a great flannel shirt for everyday use.

I tried to order a fitted shirt, but in late Oct, they were already sold out. I live in Southern California, and it is just starting to get chilly by late Oct. I loved the Stewart plaid so I ordered the shirt anyway-- but it is really big. I love the quality and weight of the flannel, but not the fit.

I was not a big fan of flannel shirts as I remember them as a man's purchase, more like a lumberjack. However, this was on sale in red plaid. I thought why not try it. Glad i did!

I love the plaid colors, the cozy softness of the fabric, and the quality. I ordered the relaxed fit because the other choice was fitted and I thought that might be a little snug. My mistake! The relaxed fit was too big and lose for my taste but kept it anyway. So be aware when choosing.

I ordered large going by LLBean measurement. This shirt is relaxed fit but it is also 46" across the bust. Sleeves and shoulders, neck and length are fine. It's just wide!

This is a great shirt with excellent quality- very thick and soft. I usually wear a medium and I swim in this shirt - sleeves are long and it is very loose fit.
