This is a beautiful soft shirt. From previous experience with LLB lately I would recommend NOT putting this in the dryer....hang to dry. I have noticed over the last year or so many of LLB shirts/tops shrink. If you don't mind hanging to dry it's an excellent choice.

Love it. So soft and snuggly. Mine did shrink quite a bit (warm water wash and put in dryer - regular heat) but I sized up so it was fine. I actually have the same one purchased from LL Bean maybe 20 years ago and it lasted well so it seemed like a good buy.

I've always love the L.L. Bean flannels. Last year I bought the slightly fitted, fit perfect, this year not so much. I decided to try out the relaxed fit. I love it. The only issue I have with it is that it rides up and I'm constantly pulling it down.

Warm, wonderful and love the shirt- but, I am 6'1" with very long arms and after the wash the arms were too short. I gave it to my tall sister and she loves it. Almost heavy enough to be a light jacket. Great quality- but find "talls" are really for people under 6'.

I bought 3 shirts and this one seemed shorter and narrower. I carry my weight around the middle and will size up in this shirt in the future. I couldn't return because they were completely out of the pattern which made me sad. The quality appears good and the material is very soft. it should be nice in the very short winters in the south. I took off one star because I think the sizing is inconsistent.

Recent purchase which so far is good, however, once again I had to deal with itching at the bottom of my neck because of the rough tags LL puts in its clothing. I cut off as much of the tag as I could but now, of course, won't be able to see the size in case I wanted to buy another down the road. The stitching is so small you can't even remove the tag that way. I shouldn't have to take a pair of scissors to a brand ($50) new shirt.

Bought this for around the house in winter. Fits well. Can roll up the sleeves when needed (cooking, etc.). Would have preferred a different color, but the others were already gone by the time I got around to ordering.

I own a couple of these shirts and the colors are always vibrant, the shirts constructed well and comfortable too! This shirt is no different!

Pretty plaid. Disappointed in fit. Have always ordered small, however this was way too large. Reordered another type plaid, representative suggested I order an XS and fit was perfect.

I like the shirt but prefer the more tailored style.

I have had a hard time finding flannel that doesn't shrink and become too small in the wash. This flannel reminds me of LL Bean sheetssuper comfy and little shrinkage. It did shrink a tad vertically. I wish it were made a smidge longer.

I love the shirt but I was quite surprised that after the first washing a button came off! It is what I would have expected if I had bought a lower quality and less expensive flannel, but not an LL Bean flannel. It's easy enough to fix, but for the money and the usual quality associated with LL Bean, I am a bit surprised and disappointed. Other than that I am happy with the shirt.

Wanted a medium weight shirt for hanging around the house and out casually and this fits both the purpose and the body! Nice and roomy but still fits in the shoulders and sleeves. Will watch for other colors. Being a Smith, I ordered the Smith tartan! It will be best on our coldest California days as it might be too warm most of the time.

I have two other LLBean flannel shirts and like the feel and fit. The only problem I find is that the sleeves are very long. I never considered myself a petite person but maybe the petite medium might have been a better choice.

I love the scotch plaid flannel softness and vibrant colors. The shirt is true to size. My only comment would be that for those of us who do not use a dryer (after the wash), the surface of the cotton flannel looks weathered. The fibers seem to not bounce back. Otherwise, I am completely happy with LLBEAN

This shirt was smaller than in the past. I bought a medium since I am small chested. In the past, I returned the large in this because it was big and boxy, but this one was a shorter, more snug fit, and I was afraid that it would shrink after being washed, so I am returning it for the large. Even if I was at my ideal weight of 150lbs, it will still be too short for my torso and potentially too snug to layer.

SCRATCHY TAGS sewn on inside of shirt just below collar are unbearable. One tag says L.L. Bean and a separate tag says Relaxed Fit with another tag sewn onto it that gives size & where shirt is made. I cannot wear the shirt with tags irritating my neck so I use seam ripper to slowly, carefully remove them. The stitches are VERY tiny so this is a tedious process. Please use no tags at collar line or find softer tags or use larger basting stitches to attach labels so removal is easier. Shirt itself is very soft and comfortable.

I like to wear my flannel shirts layered over a tee shirt, so I bought the petite XL. It looks like the petite refers only to the length, which is definitely shorter than a regular length. Almost too short for me at 5'2". The shoulders are too wide but the fit at the bust is good for me, with a 38" bust. I wish some of the choices were smaller patterned plaids. I love the color choices but at my height, wide bands of horizontal plaid stripes aren't great. However, I'll keep this shirt because for me it's more about the warmth and comfort of flannel than being stylish. It washes well on cold, no wrinkles out of a cool dryer cycle.

I bought this shirt (medium petite) to wear as an overshirt when the house is chilly but a sweater is too much. It is comfortable and fits well over a turtleneck, though the sleeves are long on me, so I turn back the cuffs. Only complaint: after a few wearings, the fabric is starting to pill a bit. I like that it is machine washable, which most of my sweaters are not, since I wear it while cooking. I have not yet washed it, though, so I can't comment on how it will stand up.

I love the fit and workmanship of these shirts. I noticed the new ones I recently purchased have one less button and no longer have the back pleat. The removal of the back pleat restricts movement somewhat, notably when chopping wood, or carrying groceries. The missing button causes gaps, the shirt doesn't sit as flat below the neck.

I bought a black watch version last year and love it. The blue one I bought this year is the same weight and style, but it shrunk in length when I washed it (cold water, dried on low). I'm still keeping it; it's not like it's up above my belt or anything (luckily I'm short-waisted). But I much prefer last year's. It's possible other colors just don't shrink as much. Also, FYI, the arm length is now perfect on me but I ALWAYS have to roll up the cuffs on shirtsthis I no longer need to after washing it. Long armed people beware. So, I recommend it because it's beautiful, but beware the length.

I like these flannel shirts. I purchase petite size and the sleeves are a cuff too long. I just roll them up. I get the flannel pj's also and sleeves are too long also. I don't like the pj's as well as the ones I used to get from Bean as the material is not as soft, buttons are too small and button holes are too big. Have to alter them. I am buying pj's somewhere else presently. They are a LOT cheaper also.

Slightly large, but I prefer it be a little too big than too small, so I can wear a silk camisole underneath in cold weather. Nice soft flannel that washes well on gentle and dries on low. I have a bunch of these shirts and wear them most of the time from fall thru early spring. I'd also like it if Bean brought back chamois shirts for women (including PLUS sizes!) that could be worn over a long-sleeve T-shirt. And the Silk Pointelle Camisoles in PLUS sizes!
