I ordered two of the flannel shirts, 1 week apart. The first one I love; great length, loose, yet tailored look. The second which I received a few weeks later fit completely different. It is longer and more fitted. My guess is that it was miss labeled, (fitted rather than loose cut). The cut is obviously different when comparing the two. I will keep it however but it's not what I ordered.

This was very pretty and fit well through arms and shoulders but I swam in it. Way too large and long

As a 5'7" woman with narrow shoulders, short arms, and a short torso but wide hips, it can be a struggle to find a shirt that fits well without either bunching up around the waist, or making me look huge with sleeves that drape too far over my wrists. The sizing on this shirt is just amazing and I am extremely grateful. I ordered both a Petite Medium and a Petite Small, and the PS was perfect. Also the colors: The black watch tartan is deep and vibrant, but with subtlety. My only caveat is that this flannel fabric is pretty fluffy. I'm a university prof, and the second time I wore the shirt into the department (carrying my backpack full of graded papers in on a non-teaching day), I noticed that even in that 7-minute walk to my office the fabric had started to "pill" - developing those little oblong nubbins that can happen when fluffy fabrics rub against something else. It was where my backpack (over a thick jacket) made some pressure on my hip area. This is very unfortunate - I was hoping to use this shirt quite a bit at school on non-lecture days, but if the fabric pills up, then it's not presentable. I have now washed it twice, and the pilling doesn't seem to have gotten much worse, so maybe this will just stay at a moderate level. And, I realize this is really a trade off - thick, warm flannel is prone to pilling, and smooth flannels are lighter and won't keep you as warm. My advice: Buy this shirt for the warmth and the comfort, but be aware that the fabric is not going to stay smooth if you carry anything over your shoulder while wearing it.

This is a really nice flannel shirt: good thickness of fabric, pretty tartan. However, be aware that it shrinks during the first wash. I bought my usual size large, tried it on before washing and all seemed good to go. Plenty of ease and a good comfort fit in the shoulders and arm length. Then I washed it in cold water, ran it through the drier on low as instructed. Re-tried it on and gosh, it shrunk. The arms were shorter, the middle seemed snugger, the shoulders bit into my armpits. I guess I should've bought an XL. Oh well, I'll keep it since I already cut out the scratchy labels prior to washing. Just consider the shrinkage when buying this shirt--if you're near the top edge of a size, go up one for a comfortable relaxed fit.

I like flannel because it's so comfortable. This shirt is a lighter weight flannel that works well indoors. Outside in winter climates, I'd probably opt to include a T-shirt underneath for added warmth. It has a relaxed fit making it more roomy in middle (tummy) area. That said, that's exactly the area that needs another inch of fabric. If you're a skinny teen, no worries. If you don't mind showing a bit of belly, go for it. Otherwise, opt for a larger size to get that extra inch. The length is good, so it covers over my jeans nicely.

This fabric is some substantial flannel and is very cozy. The relaxed fit seems true to size, not too big. My only complaint is the neck and collar seem big, with a big opening, almost like a man's shirt. Seems like it needs a button higher or maybe a more feminine (rounded?) collar.

Delighted with the clots softness and well made construction of this shirt - I could have order a size smaller because of the great quality and sizing! I am very pleased!

I have bought from you for years and am always satisfied with the fit and quality. Now have 3 flannel shirts. Soft and warm for the Winter.
Plaids are my favorite!

The colors are great and the fit is good. In laundering, I found the fabric to be more wrinkled than I expected.

Quality fabric and workmanship but ran small so it was uncomfortable. I am returning it because of this.

It was just what I expected. It is a good fit, dark blue and green plaid and soft material. The only problem is the sleeves are a little too long, which I expected, so I fold them up one turn.

It's a pretty plaid, and fits well. I just don't understand why llbean uses a lighter weight flannel for their women's shirts than for the men's shirts. If you're looking for a heavy weight plaid, and don't mind wearing a man's shirt, order that. If you really want a woman's shirt, you will like the fit, but the flannel is a lighter weight.

The fabric is of very good quality, it's very well made, and the plaid is attractive.
The only drawback, and this is why I'm not giving it 5 stars, is that it is quite
big for a large, especially the sleeves being too long.

I would have given 5 stars except that it was a little large. I ordered petite large in regular fit. I thought it would shrink but didn't. Nice quality flannel.

I have 2 of these shirts that I just love. Wear them all the time. So, I thought I would buy just one more. The color and the fabric is great but the buttonholes have been changed. I measured the new one against the old ones and the buttons are spaced completely different. Unfortunately, the new spacing makes the shirt gap on me. I can't imagine why they would change it.

Hi Folks,
I keep meaning to give you my feedback about a super-important issue:
The change away from buttons on the tips of the collars on many womens' shirts is a TERRIBLE change.
I realize you are trying to compete on price, but those of us who have been customers our whole 52 years of life have come to expect real LL Bean quality.
Now my shirts look shabby and unkempt.
Please put the buttons back, even if it costs a couple bucks. We really need them in order for the flannel and other shirts to look good.
Thank you!

Cozy soft flannel. Looking forward to wearing it now that the weather is getting cold. However the sizing on this shirt is off (unless it shrinks when I wash the two I bought) I always by Medium but this shirt is enormous. I got it on a 2-a-day special. Since I had so much trouble exchanging sizes on something else, awhile backI decided to sew darts in back to take up some of the bulk. Better but still not right. And the remaining plaid shirts were all at a way higher price point tho they were the same plaids. So exchange was out of the question. All I can hope for is that my shirts shrink to my size.

Love this flannel. I purchased a M. I am 6' tall, 15.5 across the shoulder, 26.5 waist, 39.5 hips. It falls just at my hip, which is always a miracle. It is definitely a relaxed fit, very loose. So I kept it as an around the house flannel, instead of a wear to work/out and about flannel. It is very cozy. Definitely purchase this, just be weary that it is truly a relaxed fit.

These are the best flannel shirts I have found. I need petite size & you have them. The 4 star rating is because the sleeve length of the shirts I recently received is an inch longer than the shirts I bought last year. Please address this issue. Last years shirts were perfect. I will add that the quality of your flannel it great.
