Flannel was more light weight than other items I had purchased before. The fabric started to pill after the first wash. I had to shorten the sleeve length quite a bit, but other than that the sizing was good.

The flannel is very very thin. Not thick and plush and comforting feeling. Quality diminished.

I needed to replace an LL Bean flannel bathrobe that was probably 40 years old. The new bathrobe is considerably thinner than my old one despite being brand new.

Much too long for petite. Had to have it hemmed. Overpriced too!

I purchased a different color of this set a number of years ago. Decided to purchase again because I really liked it. Unfortunately the weight of the flannel fabric is clearly lighter. It's therefore less warm and will be less durable. I kept it because it's such an inconvenience to return things.

I loved this robe when I first put it on it was soft and warm, but did not make me too warm. After just one washing, however, the fabric is pilling! Appears to be very low quality material, clearly not what I would expect from LL Bean! Thinking about sending it back

I bought this robe for my daughter. The fit and the comfort are fine; however, I was appalled that on a robe this expensive, and with the L.L. Bean name and reputation, that the plaid did not match at the side seams. It makes the robe look cheap.

I was surprised to find the flannel rather thin. When my wife held it up I could see light through the fabric. Somewhat of a come down from Mr. LL's days.

Lovely robe but fabric was too thin and lightweight for me. I was looking for a heavier, warmer winter robe. I have just returned it.

My previous one lasted 15 years, then I spilled bleach on the sleeve, so replaced it. The flannel robe is now a shadow of itself. It used to be very heavy, beautiful, long-wearing flannel. Now it is very thin and flimsy. Part of the side seam is starting to fray and come apart. So disappointed.

I did an initial review on this robe and said something to the affect that the collar was poorly designed and doesn't lay flat (curls up). I should have added that the material has started to pill around the neck and on the underside of the arms

I've bought this robe a few times over many years this time it went back. Robe was very thin, not as thick as the flannel shirts from LLBean. Disappointed!

Robe is cozy and fits great. Unfortunately after wearing it about 15 times u noticed that it is pulling on the sides and underside of sleeves.

I would like to buy the robe that's the main color shown on the page. I don't see it in the color options. Is it available?

Will probably be warm enough in winter, not completely comfortable in spring or fall since the finish is fluffy rather than smooth, wish LL Bean would bring back the solid blue smooth flannel sold previously. I bought two of the smooth flannel which have worn beautifully but are now very old and need replacing.

Lovely fabric, soft and warm. But, when I washed the robe and the fit changed from roomy to semi-tight. Also, the belt turned into a string p.

I was hoping for flannel that was softer or smoother. I little too coarse for my taste.

If you're looking for a thick flannel robe, this isn't it. This is about the weight of a flannel sheet. It is soft, comfortable, and warm enough our California winters, but thinner than I expected. I'm 5'7", 120 lbs and a small fits perfectly.

A nice robe for mid-cool weather, perfect for California much of the year. Long enough for a tall person and with an overly voluminous skirt, which at least adds to warmth. But there was only one pretty plaid, which--as usual--was snapped up too soon for my order. What happened to flowers and leaves and other appealing patterns? Why does it all have to be dreary plaids like this one? Sending it back and hoping for some new patterns in the future.

So I bought this to replace an LL Bean flannel robe that I received as a gift years ago as it had always been on the small side and I wanted something roomier. I was a bit disappointed when I received this robe, because my old one was also lined with flannel (I.e. it was two layers thick.) this one is only a single layer of fabric thick and while that's ok in the house, forget stepping outside in it because the wind cuts straight through. Furthermore, the pockets in my old robe were also lined. In this one, you can feel the loose cut ends of the fabric in the pocket. I dunno. Maybe my old robe is a model that they no longer offer, because it also has a hood. This just wasn't what I expected for the price.

This robe was lighter weight than the navy blue one I've worn for years. I thought a new one would feel warmer and cozier. The sizing and quality of construction were the same as the old one. I've decided to keep wearing the old one. Please consider making the robes in the heavier chamois flannel.

I had one of your robes for at least 12 years, wore it until it was thread barren! I ordered another flannel robe, good fit and all but after one careful washing it was starting to pile. How I wish you had better flannel.

It's ok, but very thin. Fit is exact, bought as a gift

The robe is extremely light weight flannel, so it is not a great pick as a robe for winter. Also, The tie for the robe is very flimsy and not expected to last very long. I expected much better quality from LL Bean.

I have had 2 Bean flannel robes and received this new one for Christmas. I am disappointed that the fabric is much lighter weight and the price was $10 more. It is larger than my other two. Longer, larger all over. I liked my old robe much better.
