The fabric is thin and it arrived with chalk marks all over the monogram area. Many of them. Not so great.

Very thin. I did my research and that robe came recommended. But it's a summer robe, not a winter robe.

Other reviewers are correct in that the flannel is thin for a robe. I was looking for more of a mid- to heavy-weight flannel like some llbean shirts. Not warm enough even for So Cal Coastal winters. LLBean are you listening?

Very well made, but much thinner/lighter in weight than I had hoped for. I will keep this item anyways.

I like the fact that it is a light flannel bathrobe, I had bought a heavier one which I needed help with a broken rotor Cupp and needed help getting on. This one is much easier for me to put on myself. I bought this in a petite small, I probably would have selected the next size down as it is a little long and a bit large. I am not sending it back as it works for me.

It's not pretty, I knew it wasn't going to be feminine looking, but it's a very nice quality robe. I just hope it lasts long enough to make it worth the combined cost of price + tailoring. I'm 5'2" and it's unwearable as it drags on the floor and covers my hands. Petite sizes and side seam pockets would it be an improvement. Only time will tell

Wish, oh wish, the flannel fabric was thicker. Well-made robe, but will probably only be good for one autumn and winter. At $96 I thought it would be nicer fabric.

I wanted to love this robe so much! I've had this robe for about three years now, so I acknowledge the quality of the fabric may have changed since then. This fabric is so thin compared to what you'd expect from a flannel robe. The robe started getting little holes and tears in it within months of buying it, and not even on seams- just holes in the fabric itself. I certainly don't do anything crazy while wearing the robe and follow the care instructions. It now looks fairly tattered to the point where my partner begs me to buy a new one. I'm too stubborn given how much it cost (this was a splurge on my budget). I'm disappointed with the quality of the materials and wish this robe could be as great as my other Bean items which I love. That being said, the cut is great and comfy, it's very soft and fairly warm but could be warmer with a thicker flannel.

This robe was indeed too long for me, even though I'm 5'9" tall. (It would be nice if LL Bean gave the height of their models, like some companies do.). The fit was true to size, but the arms/shoulders were a bit restricting, something that I sometimes have problems with. The fabric felt a bit thin, but it's hard for me not to compare it to a chamois cloth LL Bean robe I had years ago. I am going to give the fleece robe a try.

Hate to say this - because I love clothing from LL Bean, but the flannel of this robe is too thin. I bought it to replace one I had from years ago, and the weight of this flannel was a disappointment.

NO COMPARISON in the weight of this robe compared to exact robe that was purchased AT LEAST 20 yrs ago and is still worn. You can see through the fabric when held up to light. I knew the minute I opened it that it was no where as heavy AND WARM as the old one. Makes me sad to see LL Bean quality drop off like this, not to mention the price is still up there!

The good, the robe feels amazing and very soft. It did have minimal shrinkage in the sleeve length (the only place I didn't want it to shrink) but that is expected with 100% cotton. The bad, it took me 2 returns (thankfully there is a close LL Bean because they still charge almost $7.00 to return or exchange) to get a size that was manageable. First my husband bought a medium, it fit like a 3XL and was way too big in the body. The length of the robe itself and the sleeves were perfect. I tried a small and the side loops still overlapped each other at my belly button. Last try, an Xsmall. This was manageable. Still a little big, you could put 2 layers on underneath this and still have plenty of room. Also, when I tie it one pocket I can't use while the other is in the middle of my body. However, the softness is so great that I am keeping the Xsmall and enjoying it. I gave it a 3 solely based on how obnoxious the sizing is.

This bathrobe looks grand, and the surface feel of it is also grand. But the fabric itself is too light to be of full service where we live year-round in northern Vermont. We heat our house with wood, have done so for more than 50 years, and look for Serious Warmth in our garments. From the looks of them, the people who appear in your advertisements are weekenders on a lark, not year-rounders, and don't pertain to our conditions. I've welcomed this bathrobe into my life and wear it daily. But I would like it better if the lovely fabric were thicker. And, come to think of it, not so electrostatic. The fine crumbs i engender when I bite my morning toast stick to the fabric and don't brush off easily.

I washed it when I came home. When I took it out of the washing machine, the floor was full of lint, and I do mean full of lint . The lint holder in the drier was so thick with lint. Washing t a second time, the same thing happened. By the time I am done washing it, there will be no flannel in the robe. This is the first time that this has happened. Like the robe but was very disappointed in the quality.

I have always had a Bean flannel wrap for summer but this latest is very flimsy. The sewing appears to be good, but the material is a huge disappointment. It's a little large.

The flannel fabric is very light weight. It was also longer than I expected it to be. I've already returned it.

It is a wonderful robe but does not hold up after washing and drying. Which is such a shame because I absolutely loved this robe. After two washes though it lost quite a bit of color and it did shrink quite a bit. Still fits but not the same. The color is no longer vibrant and it looks old, even though it's not.

I took a long time deciding to get this robe because of many negative comments of others buyers. I am glad I bought it because it is lightweight and warm and fits appropriately. The other reviewers I read were right, however, the material is flimsier than it should be and a little bit scratchy. I doubt it will last very long. However, if you are looking for a robe light in weight, yet warm, it does fill that need. I am 5'2 and 120 lbs. I got M petite. Probably small petite would have worked too but it is not so roomy as to be a problem and the sleeves and length are good.

This is my first LL Bean purchase. The robe is pretty and the fabric soft. But I was shocked that the "famous" LL Bean is made of such thin flannel. And it's already pilling after one wash and two weeks' wear. I am guessing they have reduced their quality over the years. Too bad. Oh, also I had to return for a smaller size.

This robe feels wonderful on one's skin but it is a lighter weight flannel than I thought it would be. There is a bit of "pilling" (not excessive) at places of friction where the sleeves and body of the robe rub when walking or moving around. The fit is good but the robe is long and though I usually would buy a medium, on this item I chose a medium petite (I'm 5' 4"). It is only about 6" from my ankles so a regular medium would have been longer than I wanted. I don't love it but I do like it.

The construction, fit, design & quality of flannel (dye, fibers) make this a 5-star robe. Alas, the inexcusable THINNESS of the flannel gets a full 2 stars deducted: shame on you LLBean! This replaced a 12-yr-old & much washed flannel robe which had gotten thin & faded. Imagine my surprise when a new Bean's flannel robe proved just as thin as an old much-washed robe! It is far thinner than the flannel shirt I just bought my husband: again, shame! I am keeping it as I need a robe; I'll replace & donate it end-of-season. If the reviews do not change next season I'll certainly not replace it with a Bean's robe. If you're sacrificing quality you're not the organization you have been & I will not support expensive mediocrity. If you need to increase prices for quality flannel then do so, do not sacrifice quality; I can buy thin flannel at your competitors for less money.
