I purchased this robe after seeing it recommended in an article on the best robes. While many of the reviewers claim it is too thin, I did not find it overly so. Regardless of thickness, it's warm enough for my needs. I ordered the petite small because I didn't want it to be so long that I was tripping on it. I also found out from customer service that the sleeves are shorter on the petite sizes. It worked out perfectly for me! I'm very happy with my purchase. I deducted one star for the scratchy neck tag and the slightly odd smell when it was new (it washed out thankfully).

Really nice. Wish there were choices that were more feminine than just plaid. I had a really pretty solid color flannel robe from Bean about 15 years ago but recently some bleach spilled on it and ruined the fabric. Couldn't replace it because no longer an option...

It's a little too long for me. I'm 5'5" and ordered the medium. I have to remember to gather it in my hands before I go up the stairs.

As other comments have mentioned, the material is very soft but rather lightweight. It's the perfect robe for the cooler winter mornings here in Florida-- 40s/50s. The petite is still very long-- I'm 5'3 which is normally near the top of the 'petite' height range and it comes down to my ankles. Pros: - Very soft - Deep pockets - The monogrammed initials were nicely sized Cons: - Inside tie strings are very thin and feel like they could use more reinforcement

I had an older model of this bathrobe that was toasty warm. This version is much lighter than I wish it were. Nice quality flannel but in the middle of the winter, it won't be warm enough.

It's a nice size (I sized up because I wanted it to be oversized on me) and very cozy, but it does pill a TON in the wash. I've washed it 3 times and already had to use the depiller on it. Other than that, it's great and I'll be wearing it all winter.

I like this robe a lot. Arms holes are a little too deep for a petite sizing, though.

The length of the robe and sleeves fitted me very well. Love the look and feel of the flannel but the material was way too thin making the robe clingy. If the material was heavier it would feel cozier and drape more comfortably. These improvements would hopefully make the robe a better quality.

I returned the robe for two reasons. One, the fabric was not very heavy and I am looking for a very warm bathrobe. Two, The cut is very straight and my shape is more smaller on top and larger hips, so it just didn't work for me.

Disappointed with the quality of the flannel compared to previous flannel purchases. It's flimsy and thin. Women's robes should be available in more feminine colors; I suggest the McDonald tartan with purple in the pattern. Thanks for continuing to offer petite sizes. A knee-length version would be good as well.

Like the robe, it's a bit thin but since you'd wear heavy PJs with it I'm not sure I'd want it any heavier.

This robe is lovely, soft & thick. I found it a bit long (at my ankles) and I would have appreciated having the two different heights to the sash loops that the men's robes have as the sash sits a bit low for my waist.

The fabric is soft and cozy. I do not care for plaid, I prefer solid colors. My original flannel robe I bought in Freeportit was a lovely sky blue and I wore it for over 30 years until it literally fell apart! That robe had a good wrap. The new one does not have enough wrap. I exchanged it for the larger size to get more wrap and was disappointed. But I kept it because I like the quality of the flannel.

I like this Red and Black plaid flannel robe for winter. A little bit thicker than my other robes from LL Bean. But it seems to pill up a bit so not sure how long it will make it.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought this because it was long on the model, but it's not as long as it appears in the photos.

If you're looking for a plush winter robe, this isn't it. It's definitely thin. But I still like it and wear it all the time. It fits well and is flattering. I like that it doesn't look childish or sloppy; I wouldn't be embarassed if my neighbors saw me bringing in the paper wearing this. It looks classy for a robe and is lightweight enough to keep you comfortable from fall to spring. That being said, if you want something super warm, try another style.

The robe is really soft and looks good. Only silly complaint is I was really disappointed with the monogram. I have monogramed other robes in the past and they were much larger. This one was really small and very pitiful looking.

This flannel is a much lighter weight than what is used for the shirts. Size and length is consistent with LLBEAN sizing.

This was juat the right flannel I've been looking for. Warm without being too heavy, very comfy, not fuzzy, good colors. The only problem I have with robe is that it is far too long. I got a large size because I like it roomy, I didn't realize it would be close to a foot too long. I shortened it, but I never had that problem before. Otherwise, I really like it. Perfect for the cold weather.

Soft, comfortable, warm and the length is perfect. My only complaint is that it's not very flattering to the female figure. Maybe it's the plaid. I wish it came in solid colors with a contrasting piping.

I love a cotton flannel robe with long sleeves, deep pockets and a hem that reaches to my ankles, and these have become almost non-existent these days. So I'm very grateful to LL Bean for continuing to make their version of this robe. Cotton flannel is just the right weight and warmth for me, unlike the fleece bathrobes everyone seems to be selling these days. That said, the robe I received was made of a thinner flannel than previous LL Bean versions, and doesn't feel quite as warm, although so far it's been adequate, and the robe itself is comfy, roomy and nice to pull on in the mornings. I don't like that they offer this robe only in plaid. I really liked (and preferred) their solid-colored robe in this model (I had one in peach, one in blue), and have held off buying a new one for several years, hoping they might offer a solid-colored version. With my old blue robe in tatters, I finally ordered one of their most neutral plaids, and it's growing on me - although it looked so mannish that I added some lace along the lapels. They used to finish the edges of this robe with piping, which really looked nice. So thanks, LL Bean, for continuing to offer this robe, but consider using your previous quality cotton flannel, and offering some solid colors.

I stand 5 feet 2 inches tall (normal weight). This petite Small grazes the ground, especially walking upstairs. Cost $30 to get it hemmed nicely. This flannel robe is thin and light weight, which happens to be what I wanted -- takes up little space in suitcase yet offers warmth needed in hotel rooms. Would be nice if LLBean offered pre-purchase hemming with No Refund/No Return option. I would have taken that option and paid you for it.

I'm 118 lbs. 5' 3" with short arms. The petite Medium was too short in the arms and length after washing according to directions. I returned it for a Med. Reg. and it's perfect. Covers my ankles and wrists. It's a nice weight for winter for me because it's not too thick and hot. Very comfy.
