Every few years I treat myself to a new Bean flannel robe. Not that the previous one was worn out. These things wear like iron. Just, I like new, fluffy flannel. This time, I see that the sizing is different. It runs a little bigger--but then, so do I, I guess. I like a big enough overlap in the front and get it with this robe. I got the Gordon plaid and it's pretty. I recommend this robe, as I did the others. Just be aware that it does run a little roomieer than you might expect. It's soft and cuddly. Loving it.

I bought one of these thirty years ago. It has been washed a thousand times. Sadly, I spilled bleach on it. Still, I refused to throw it away because I could not get a replacement. Finally the scotch plaid is back, and in black watch. I am thrilled to have a new robe which is just as lovely as my original. This robe is soft and warm, and it folds over generously so it is modest. Over the years I have tried other brands' flannel robes - didn't come close to this one. If you want a great all season robe, you won't be disappointed with this.

This robe is perfect! I didn't want the warmest robe that I could find, as I found myself sweating in my previous robe (cheap Target fleece robe). This robe is soft and warm, yet breathable. I haven't found it to be too warm, but is comfortable. I'm a stay-at-home mom, and I just may wear this every day, all day. I got the red color and it is a beautiful deep red. Lovely! I'm thinking of ordering another one for my best friend for a Christmas present!

I am adding to a review I posted below. Colors stayed true, no bleed - Dress Gordon plaid, washed in warm water.

So far, I love this robe! The length is great! I haven't washed it yet but hope for the best. It is replacing a LL Bean flannel robe that I have had for years (10-15). Hope it performs as well!

I have been envying my husband for a long time. He loves his Bean flannel robes - but until now no women's version offered. It is soft, breathable, cozy, generously sized ( very generously..I didn't have to size up for a loose fit), not skimpy in the "wrap", nice long sleeves, minimal shrinkage - all just right. Worth the wait!

I like the robe, love the pattern. I'm 5'3" and so bought the petite but wish I'd bought the regular length. The fabric is a bit lighter weight than I was expecting but might turn out to be perfect for summer.

Thsi looks to be the purple bathrobe. It is too large and I have donated it to the salvation Army.

Love the long length and that the arms have room / aren't too tight. Love the combo of it being lightweight and warm - classic L.L. Bean flannel. Fabric does pill / wear a little fairly quickly which is why this wasn't 5 stars.

I wanted an all cotton ll bean robe and I opted for this one, I also had a $10 off coupon to use. I will say the robe is soft but for New England weather - this provides no warmth in the cooler months :( Hopefully in future LL Bean has a thicker all cotton robe option similar to their vintage ones. But for now I am keeping this one and just wearing more underneath the robe during cooler months!

Really nice, just not very feminine. I don't like the pockets where they are placed; I returned.

This robe is warm and comfortable. I wish it wasn't quite so thin. But otherwise I love it.

Robe should be thicker than the pajamas. Colors excellent, since Black Watch tartan may be the first camouflage clothing, designed because the specialty of the Black Watch regiment was night guard duty.

This was a gift and I got a petite. I'm 5'3 and it goes down to almost my ankles. Sleeves are also too long. I get it's a robe but to your ankle it's way too long. Petite is off!

It's exactly what I wanted, except I wish I were just a bit longer!! I want my legs covered. I bought a large, I'm 5'7" 175lb.

The flannel on this rob is exactly what I was looking for: not too thin, not too thick. Good fit; I love the ankle length. Sleeves are a little long, but ok because I was wanting the roomy 'over-sized' fit. (I ordered medium, am 5'3, 132 lbs.) The fabric has pilled tho, hence the 4 stars.

I bought a flannel robe year back. Now they are so long for short women I had to hem it. We are talking nearly 5' around the bottom of the robe. Would have been a smooth hemming job but for the care label.

The length is generous. The pockets are easy to access. The flannel is soft but it is thin.

I'm 5'4" & this robe was too long in the sleeves & overall length. I exchanged it for petite. This robe is also a thinner flannel than the (very old) LL Bean robe that needed replacing.

The LL Bean plaid flannel bathrobe I just bought is probably the 5th one I have purchased. I love them because they are light, warm and soft, which are the main things I look for in a bathrobe. I do not need one that is big, fluffy or absorbs moisture well, as from a shower or bath. My only issue with LL Bean's plaid, flannel bathrobes is they wear out quickly, more each time after washing them. I stop wearing my older ones after 2 or 3 years because they become rough and scratchy as well as no longer as warm. But I haven't found another brand that does a better job of it. So until then.

Robe is sufficient for my needs. I only gave 4 stars because there is very little flexibility . The robe seems more suitible for a man than a women. It has no "femininty".

comfortable flannel, but not as heavy a flannel as the one it was replacing (about 8-10 yrs. old). Rather pricey but it is comfortable

Have two, different colors. Nice weight. Easy to wear. Only criticism is that after washing and wearing a bit they get shabby looking. Perhaps the quality of the flannel could be better.

I received this robe as a gift from my Mom. It is soft and comfortable and the fact that it is much more lightweight than I expected, is ok with me --much more lightweight than other LLBean flannel items. It is so lightweight that it borders on sheer when you hold it up to the light. It also shrunk substantially after 1 washing in its length. While it is working for me now, I don't expect this robe to last many years. For the price, it should have been a been a higher quality item.
