These are nice, well made pajamas. But, though they are supposedly petites, the bottoms are baggy and inches too long for my wife. Will be returning them today. (Already returned them once for a smaller size. It didn't work.)

I love the warmth of these pajamas; however, I am truly disappointed in the fabric. I washed the PJs prior to wearing according to the washing instructions, and the fabric is now piled up, knotty. Really, really disappointed in this. I will still wear them. Love the plaid and feel.

The fabric was wonderful, soft flannel--the cut of the bottoms were good...generous and comfortable. The top, however, the arms were the width of a size small.
I ordered the Women's 2X plus sized--while the cut around the chest was ample...I felt like the Hulk in the arms!
The cut was off for the plus sizes.

These PJ's were great for about 3 weeks, but they are PJ's so I wash them weekly. Now, 8 weeks in the fluffy flannel is gone and the thinness of the material is apparent. I happened to be holding my arm above my head in front of a window. The sunshine was showing right thru the fabric which looked like gauze with strands criss-crossed everywhere. At least that explains why they are not warm anymore. Need to wear a long sleeve t-shirt underneath. As for the sizing, wasn't a problem. The petite small was very large and long, but shrank so much, the pants are actually at the top of my ankles. Very disappointed as I have waited a few years to buy these given the price... looking again.

I have owned at least 10 pairs of these L.L. Bean flannel pajamas over the years. Although the flannel is as comfortable as it has always been, I am disappointed in the size of the pajamas. I have always worn a size medium, and this year the pants are too large. I agree with the other reviewers that these pieces should be sold separately. I also dislike the change to the elastic design around the waist and the addition of buttons on the sleeves.

I bought Medium PJs last year. I could grow 2 inches and gain 25 pounds and they'd still be comfortably loose. The fabric is vaguely, not strongly, reminiscent of LLB of winters gone by. And why the tiny blouse buttons on flannel?
Two stars because I love you.

The Petite is supposed to be not only shorter in the leg length, but also in the rise from the crotch seem to the waist band.
These pajamas have a waist rise similar to regular pants. I am 5 foot and the waist comes up almost to under my arms. The pants fit in length and width. I have normal proportions.

If you like loose fitting comfortable flannel pajamas order up one size. I wear an 8-10 and ordered a medium because I was assured that the cut was generous. Hah! The top fit as though is was a button down shirt. The quality is good, but don't know how the fabric would fair with shrinkage after washing and drying.

I ordered these pajamas thinking they would be of the same quality as the pajamas I bought for my husband last yr. What a disappointment. My first warning was when the package arrived. I couldn't believe my new pajamas fit into such a small mailer. When I opened the package I learned why. The flannel is a much lighter weight. Very disappointing, especially given the relatively high price. (Based on my recent experience, there are better quality options available for comparable price.)

I had read that LLBean had the best quality flannel pajamas, so I bought these recently. The flannel is not of good quality. It is rather thin, and not soft at all. It's even starting to pill. At this high price I am terribly disappointed.

Both the top and bottom of this set are very very large. I thought it might be a men's set, but it does say 'women' on both pieces.
Fabric looks very nice. Thick enuf and soft!

Living in the Cold Northeast couldn't wait for my LLBEAN PJ's to arrive.
The flannel was thin and poor quality. They ran small and had tiny dress shirt buttons with poorly sewn buttonholes.I am usually a Med. but ordered a Large for room, the wrists were so small I had to unbutton for comfort!

Ordered petite small flannel pajamas and the bottoms are HUGE. I'm 5'3 105 pounds and they swam on me. My husband decided he could wear them and he's 6'1 165 pounds and they fit him! Considering buyers need to pay a return fee I decided just to give the bottoms to him. A petite small should not fit a 6'1 man. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed in L.L. Bean's quality decline in the past few years - never thought I would see LL Bean replacing 100% cotton and wool sweaters with plastic "blends"- particularly for women's clothing. These pajamas have been a holiday tradition for over 30 years in my family. This years quality is terrible. The weight of the flannel is very thin, the stitching simple, irregular, and low quality. These would not hold up for more than half a year of wear. Shame on company leadership for allowing this, and notably, pushing poorer quality products for women, than for the comparable products available for men.

I bought a women's medium, I weigh roughly 100lb and I am 5'2. The shrinkage is insane, it feels so cheap, so highly disappointing for LL bean! The pants are so incredibly long when the sleeves on the top are short? Really unsatisfied and unfortunate- I have been an in-store client for years and can't say I will ever be a return customer.

When I saw these flannel pajamas I was in love. The high pric was certainly not in my budget but I couldn't stop thinking about them. I received them yesterday and washed them last night. First of all, all of the size charts said to get a large regular. Well I'm only 5'3" and 135 lbs. The top fits ok but the pants are huge. Next, they are very lightweight and not warm at all. Also, the inside of the waist line is very scratchy. Finally, and most disturbing for what I paid, after 1 wash, they are already pilling. Big box store pajamas are better than these. I will never buy anything from LL Bean again.

I ordered these PJs because I love the one I already have (a petite large). The new order was the same item #, same country of origin and same size but the fit of the new one was totally off. Bottoms were so laughably big and long that no amount of expected shrinkage could make it better! Easy decision to return it immediately

Have bought LL Bean flannel pajamas for many years. Price has gone up but the quality has gone down...material has become thinner. Just bought another pair and sadly the underarm seams split within a few weeks. Sorry to say but I won't buy again.

We ordered these in petite medium and returned them immediately. The pants were huge, both in volume and length, not even close to medium or petite. It's as if the manufacturer just made one size of pants and changed the labels. The top was only slightly small but it was apparent that it would shrink to too tight with one wash, even in cold water. Very disappointed with the quality produced by this maker - sorry, LLB, you should expect more.

I'd wanted this set of pajamas for some time. I'm a little fluffy so I ordered XXL because I wanted them roomy. The top fit like an XL & was tight. The bottoms fit like a XXXL & were way too big. Very disappointed.

I am 5'4", weigh 130 lbs.
I bought a women's large because I like my jammies loose-fitting.
The top was quite tight, the bottom about 4" too long.
Not acceptable at all - especially given the price.
They're going back.

Been an LLB customer since 1973. Quality is going downhill on everything. This flannel is thin, lightweight and pilling after one wash. If I had been at store and felt it would never have bought. Men's lounge pants flannel is twice the quality and heft of flannel. These are to be winter apps and are so thin they could be summer PJs. LLB prices are going up up up and quality down, down, down. You need to rethink your products. Sad. Very disappointed. Many items I contemplate buying I no longer do after reading reviews.of poor quality. $90 for thin flannel PJs??? Nope.
