I bought the same nightgown years ago and won't retire it, even though it's seen better days! This new one is cozy and the flannel is soft and warm. You can't go wrong with this nightgown on cold winter nights or to lounge around in on a snowy day.

I've wanted one of these nightgowns for a while now, but I was hesitant to purchase one due to the mixed reviews about the changing quality. When they went on sale, I decided to splurge and get two. I'm so happy I did! I have never had an LLBean flannel nightgown before, so I cannot comment on "the good old days", but I think the quality of these gowns are excellent and worth every penny. I washed and dried both gowns before wearing them because I had read some reviews stating the a)their gown shrunk, and b)their gown shed lots of lent. Neither of those situations occurred when I washed my gown. Both gowns fall a bit above my ankles, are soft, roomy, and thick. I got the MacTavish and Dress Gordon colors, and both are lovely. I purchased a size small and it fit great (I am 5'6" and 145 pounds). Will purchase again.

My goodness I haven't had such a comfortable, cozy,soft nightgown in years! It's a bit more than I cared to pay but so worth it. It washes like a dream and is roomy to sleep in. I ordered my regular size and it is perfect. I think I'll "surprise" myself next Christmas with another LLBean nightown.

I love llbean flannel nightgowns. They are thinner this year than in past years but they are still exceptionally cozy. I love the beautiful plaids. Bought on sale. If I could I would give this a 4 1/2 stars for the thinness of the flannel, I would have done so; but, I gave in and put it to 5 stars.

My wife loves her new flannel nightgown. She says it's toasty warm and very soft and comfortable. No issues with shrinkage or fuzz in the laundry. Great product. Thanks to your online staff for finding her size at a store nearby and it was promptly shipped to our home. Thanks.

It is a heavy flannel. roomy and comfortable. The color is bright. I have washed it and no sigh of fading. I am short and it is floor space for me.

I bought 3 of these for my mother, sister and me for Christmas and they're such a treat! We're all on the shorter side, 5'1-5'4 so the gown runs a bit longer, but it helps keep your legs warm like a blanket if you're hanging on the couch. All washed very nice (lots of lint the first drying) and we are all so happy with our corny matching jams! Thanks LL bean!!.

I love my new nightie! It was a Christmas present from my husband. I was attracted to the color, style, and Portuguese cotton and I was not let down. I was worried about the size because I was thinking I was between a small and a medium. I chose the small and am glad I did. Perfect length, perfect width, love the color and the feel. Nice present! Very nice.

I love this flannel nightgown. It is long and roomy and comfy and cozy. I have to wait until bedtime to put it on, or else I would be in it all day. It is lovely!

Like all LL Bean products, great fit, style and quality. We don't worry about fading or shrinkage and we know it's going to last. Money well spent.

I purchased flannel sleepwear for the entire family this past Christmas. Everyone was so grateful, including me with my new long, warm, yet easily cool, granny nightgown. Yes, it is obviously a granny nightgown and not even close to sexiest sleep garment on the market. Let's face it, LL Bean is not known for its high-quality silk but instead it's amazing long-lasting & high-quality products including flannel. Super product and would buy another if I thought this product would ever wear out. Side story: my love of LL Bean flannel was rooted decades ago- seriously. Before I moved out on my own 24 years ago, my parents bought me a lovely LL Bean flannel sheet set w coordinating duvet cover knowing I was headed to the Rockies (brrrrr). I still have the entire set other than the fitted sheet which was worn through with use and finally ripped. My son's favorite duvet cover was this hunter green set & 25 years later it is still soft, comfy, snuggly, loved and cherished.

I've been wearing LL Bean flannel nightgowns for years. Each one has lasted a very long time despite repeated wearing and washing. The purchase before this one lasted, but the flannel has always been stiff and not very soft. This one however has the softest flannel I've ever seen on one of their nightgowns. Very comfortable. I like the addition of the pockets in this version. The only drawback is that it runs very large and is much more generously cut than previous versions. I ended up returning for a smaller size, but otherwise it's my favorite LL Bean flannel nightgown. I ended up getting two!

I bought the Stewart plaid nightgown for my mother as a Christmas present. She was thrilled with it and said it fit perfectly!

I was afraid this gown might not be as warm around the neck as the old LLBean favorites. It is just fine, and I like the length. Soft, mid-weight flannel. Personally I don't have much use for the pockets, but they don't get in the way. The only thing I regret is not having elastic at the wrists--it 's so much easier to pull the sleeve up and keep it out of the way with elastic, than with the current cuffs.

This is the most silky smooth and soft flannel I have ever touched. It is a mid-weight flannel, not too heavy or light-weight. At 5'7' and 140 lbs., the Medium is perfect and hits me at mid-calf. It is roomy, but not hot. I like the Henley-style neckline. It even has pockets! I will buy more. In my view, it is a winner.

I love this style. I've been avoiding the flannel for years because I didn't want the collar. I have an ancient LLBean flannel in a style without the collar that I love. And for those who suggest the vintage: it's not the same fabric at all, so it's not necessarily a good substitute. I'm neutral on the pockets, but certainly don't find them to be the nuisance others do. I plan on ordering more!

This was a Christmas gift for my sister. She has had several of these and loves them. She specifically asked for this one. Each Christmas she gets a new one. She heats her house with a wood stove, so, appreciates warmth! This offers plenty.

I purchased this warm and cozy nightgown, loved it and immediately sent for another. Last night it was 8 degrees here in Ohio and I was very comfortable! The weight of the flannel is substantial and the gown washes beautifully! Love it!

Finally, my most loved nightgown has pockets! I have owned many of these over the years. Those of us who heat with wood know that anything but cotton is a hazard around a stove! These nightgowns don't melt or burst into flames (don't ask). They are forgiving of an armload of wood, or a stray spark. The Scotch Plaid designs hide a multitude of sins: sticky baby fingers, dog slobber, errant cake batter or spaghetti sauce bubbling on that wonderful wood stove. I can pull on my snow sneakers and head out the front door to sweep the snow away and be warm! These seem to run a bit large and they are not designed to be slinky but comfy and practical. My only concern is the quality of the flannel seems to be decreasing over the years. Please LL Bean, don't compromise on these! And thanks for the pockets!

This is a perfect cozy nightgown. I absolutely love the pockets and the length. It is just great for chilly evenings. The flannel is so nice and soft.

I love this nightgown! It is soft, warm and cozy. Ample fit that makes it easy to curl up on the couch with a good book or Netflix. Also washes well.

bought this in a 2X and I love it but it is true to size I could have bought a 1x but if you like it roomy you'll get the 2X the one thing I can say is that it's longer then in the picture comes all the way down to my feet and I'm average height 5:6 but it's nice and warm I love it I recommend it

It is exactly what I was looking for. I had one like it when I was a child. It has brought back some wonderful memories of my childhood.

I love this nightgown. I would say it does seem to run big but who wants a tight nightgown? It's very warm, it's a great length and I love the pockets.
