This fleece was almost perfect but had one critical flaw -- the stitching around the shoulder/arm area was poorly done and came apart within days. Fortunately L.L. Bean quickly offered a free replacement. Other than the stitching problem my wife was totally satisfied with the softness, warmth, and fit.

Very soft, comfortable, and warm. The purple shade is a nice color and seems very well made. Just not in love with how it fits. Very roomy, especially in the mid section. I'm 5'7", 140, athletic build, and small is too big. With how the sleeves are cut compared to the body, I'm not sure a smaller size would fit very well either. Keeping because it checks all my other boxes, but definitely not my most figure-flattering jacket.

The material is a bit thin but I'll keep it to see how it wears.

It runs small. I ordered a medium and I have ordered other LL Bean jackets. I should have sent it back.

I like the soft fleece. The sleeves are tight, if I was wearing a sweater under this jacket it would not fit. I wish the plus size was a little longer for those of us who want to hide our rear. I'll keep it but a little disappointed in this jacket.

I have two solid colored versions of this fleece which I wear regularly to work. I haven't ordered any recently because I didn't think I would like the heathered looking fleece. I decided to give the Mallard Blue Heather/Marine Blue a try as I really needed another
fleece for work. When it arrived I could tell before even getting it out of the plastic that I would not like it. The way it is heathered ( dark flecks amongst the lighter color) makes it, to my eye, look like it is dirty. I hope that LL Bean will in the future bring back the solid color fleece. Other than that the quality the quality seems to be the same of my previously purchased hi - pile fleece. I will be returning it.

In your picture of the fleece jacket, you cannot tell it has hideous patches on the sleeves. I kept the jacket but feel like all people see are the ugly patches. It is snugly warm but I would not have purchased it if I had known.

I ordered this in the purple. It's really a nice jacket and I like it. However, at $99 it is completely overpriced for the type of item it is. It's not nearly as thick as the regular fleece jackets and yet costs more. I can not justify keeping it at that price. I would expect it to be more substantial and I would have no problems with the price if it were.

Cozy, soft and warm, but it sheds like crazy, especially after you wash it. I have the pink/orange color and I washed it with a sweatshirt and now both of them are covered with pink balls of lint. Balls of lint soon appeared all over the house, on the sofa, in the car, on my other clothes, on the bed, on the carpet. Wherever there is another fabric to cling to, the pink balls are there. I washed it again with a towel - even more balls of pink. Now I have gone over it with a lint brush and I will try to never wash it again. If you buy one, pick a color that goes with the rest of your house.

My son had a high pile fleece jacket A couple years ago which he outgrew. Seeing him so cute and cozy made me interested in one for myself. I bought the sailcloth color and bough a size up so it would have extra room. It is beautiful, comfortable and soft. Mine did not have the shedding problem or zipper problem some others had, but to wear outside as a jacket it just is not warm! Any colder than 45 degrees I freeze and the slightest bit of Wind just cuts through me. I was Very disappointed, especially because I have other LL fleece jackets which are MUCH warmer. I decided in the end to keep it to wear indoors or under another jacket if going out because it is very soft and comfy. However, if I had known it would not even keep me warm outside in 45 degrees I would never have bought it.

I ordered the canyon rose color and the color was so beautiful! I loved the style of the jacket and the padding on the elbow. Super soft material! Really wanted to keep the jacket but unfortunately it had to go back because of the pilling. It leaves a bunch of fuzz all over my clothes. I even washed it to see if that helped and it didn't.
I would love to order it again if it doesn't pill or get fuzz all over my clothes!

Pink sheds like crazy. This is a very cozy fleece, very warm. However, I am covered in pink fluff. I wear it to work where I don't care if I shed all over everything I wear, but major downside. I think the white sheds some as well.

I purchased this jacket in the purply color and I loved it. Fit great, cozy and very soft. I like things a bit oversized so I ordered the medium rather than small and that was fine. I loved the jacket so much that I ordered it in the rose color but the rose jacket has shed and pilled non-stop. Every where I sit I leave behind little pink puffs. It gets all over clothing, furniture and carpeting, just everywhere. I washed it thinking that would help and it did not. The pink puffs got all over everything else in the wash. The dryer helped but I had to use a lint brush on the clothes in the wash with the jacket. The purple jacket is fine, but the pink one is a disaster. So although the purple jacket is great, the pink one is a big disappointment, so be aware that there is inconsistency in the fabric. Therefore, I cannot recommend this jacket.

I love this jacket soooo much but it sheds, a lot! I wear hard contact lenses so shedding material is a HUGE problem for me because getting lint in my eyes stops me in my tracks!! If you don't wear contacts get this jacket. If you do wear contacts I would not buy this jacket. I'm going to wash it one more time and hope that fixes the shedding and if it's still a problem I'll have to return it.
I live in Utah and I'm very comfortable wearing this as a jacket on nice days and when it's real cold it's thin enough to fit under my down puffer. It's also worth mentioning that this material does not make your hair staticky.

This jacket is good looking and warm. The only problem is that the fuzz gets all over everything and everybody. The seat belts were covered in fuzz. My friend that I hugged was covered in fuzz- and that is after I washed it once. I am going to wash it again to see if the fuzz stops coming off. I have never had this happen with fuzzy jackets I have bought from other companies.

I was a little disappointed in the jacket version of this after enjoying the hi-pile pullover for a while. The hi-pile fleece isn't quite as lofty on the jacket as the pullover, and while the medium fits perfectly in the pullover, it's a full size too large in the jacket! Extra disappointed because I was prepared to be as totally in love with the jacket as my pullover.
It's still a nice jacket, and I'm contemplating keeping it anyway, but if I do I think I'll always love my pullover more.

I loved the color, fit and look of the jacket. I did not like the fabric. It's very soft, almost silky. It did not appear to me to have the high quality I'm used to with LL BEAN. It is different than what I'm used to for fleece, but the feel of it just did not work for me. I sent it back. I ordered it in the coral rose color. That was pretty. It also appeared to be well made.

I ended up returning this jacket. I had high hopes for it as it is hard to find grey jackets in the stores but I was a bit disappointed.
The positives: The fleece was nice and the color grey was nice and the styling was nice and the fit was good.
The cons: The fleece was more lightweight than I had hoped, I was hoping for a heavier fleece to keep me warmer. The biggest negative was the collar. When you wore the jacket with the collar turned down and the jacket a bit unzipped, the left collar point would "flip up" and not lay flat. This was due to the way the zipper was ended or I am not exactly sure why. But I did not want to hassle with constantly trying to pat down the collar so it did not flip up and lay weird.

I love the color and it is warm but it sheds over my clothes, the car and other surroundings. I washed it hoping it would help reduce the shedding but it doesn't. Even though the size is a large it is somewhat snug. I'm thinking LL Bean sizes run a little small. I wouldn't purchase this product again based mainly on the problem with the shedding.

This is a nice looking jacket but you must expect to pick all the fuzz off of anything it touches. It is warm and comfortable, but I am not so sure that makes up the difference of how much it sheds on everything. I would not purchase again because of the shedding. I have a cat that does that enough for me.

It's a soft jacket with a good zipper. The problem is the collar. I could not get it to lay flat. So that messed up my hair (upsweep) which made it unworkable for me. I'm unfortunately returning it. It may be perfect for others.
