I was so excited to read about this shirt - in my favorite blackwatch plaid, with NAVY (instead of the previous white) fleece lining. (My favorite shirt is the blackwatch scotch flannel that I had bought 2 of - because it is so soft.) Much to my surprise, this one is not REAL flannel - that is, it is not brushed; the fabric is smooth and thin, without a nap. Not what you would expect in "flannel." I found this very misleading. Although it is otherwise well-made, with great disappointment, I sent it back.

Honestly it ok but for the price of this item I think it's nothing special. I just hope it last

I purchased Misses XS. I'm 5'2, 108#. It fits ok. But this is NOT flannel. The tag says 100% cotton but it feels more like a very thin, silky twill. The fleece is also very thin and the side pockets are not lined, just the thin cotton, which could wear through quickly. My husband has the men's version & it is definitely flannel with a thicker fleece & the side pockets are lined with a nice stretchy fabric that is warm & substantial. Too bad the women's version wasn't made the same way. This one is going back.

This is not the same shirt from the past. The flannel is very thin and doesn't seem like it will hold up to washing let alone any kind of work outside. It has already developed a hole inside one of the pockets. L L Bean is not the rock solid quality it once was.

This shirt is completely disappointing. It arrived with a frayed hole in the right pocket large enough for me to put my hand through. The thin fabric came so wrinkled I can not remove the rumpled look. I had the pocket repaired, but it's not at all like a new shirt. This was to be a gift for my daughter, but I am ashamed to give it to her. I want a refund so I'll call to arrange that.

Extreme excess of material in the midsection. I used the sizing chart and selected the appropriate size. The arms fit appropriately, but the shirt is the size of a tent due to all the excess material in the middle! I can wear a thick wool sweater and still close this around me with inches of material hanging off.
Downsizing would result in too short of arms, so exchange was not the answer.
No one mentioned that these are made like a tent in the torso. A small has the same material as a large (maybe even an extra large) it is EXTREMELY big.
Disappointed as I always wanted a nice fleecy flannel. This is too large even for layering.

If you want a shirt jacket, one to pull on when you run in and out, I don't think you want this one. The fleece is lining the sleeves also which is VERY annoying. If you only wear short sleeve tees underneath it might be fine for you.

The flannel was disappointingly thin I could barely identify it as flannel. With a fleece lining it doesn't make sense to put such a thin flannel. I expected flannel to be a lot more substantial. Not up to your standards.

I'm embarrassed to wear this poorly constructed shirt. I am so disappointed in the poor quality and sloppy fit that I am no longer a LLBean customer.

Purchased two shirts (different colors). One arrived new in its' plastic product packaging. It was shipped out of Freeport. Super! HOWEVER, the 2nd shirt arrived folded up inside a shipping mailer bag. It was apparent that the shirt was shipped from a retail store in New Jersey. It was just "stuffed" into the mailer bag. Did not make me feel as if I received a new unworn shirt. Really sub-par for L.L.Bean. Thus the low rating.

I don't know what's happened to LL.BEAN, but I bought less than 3 years ago and today I noticed AGAIN both sleeves have holes forming on the inside arms NOT on the seams! I could imagine if seams were tearing, but this is the 5th or 6th in the last several years to grow holes THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE ARM on the outside just beside the seam. It's not a tear in the stitching or I could sew it closed myself. You'd think it was moths eating at them! Funny how it's only there and on EVERY one I've bought in the last 10yrs!! Price goes up, but quality is like second hand stuff! A $75 product should last more than 2 years!! I'm sick of throwing my money away with LL BEAN. Time to move on after 35 years!! NO WONDER LL BEAN ONLY HAS A ONE YEAR WARRANTY! NOTHING WILL LAST ANY LONGER.

I requested and received this for Christmas. I didn't know the return policy for gifts. After wearing I found the sleeves were the cuffs' length too long and had to roll up the cuff to keep the sleeves out of the way. Because of the snaps there was no way to make the cuff smaller. The shirt is very soft and cozy to wear on a cold day but it is just not proportionate.

The flannel and the lining were different lengths and it didn't hang correctly. Loved the color but couldn't see spending that much on a shirt that looked so bad.

In case you're not aware, this is gift-giving season. Thanks for ruining a Christmas surprise gift by displaying the item in detail that I ordered. My spouse got her gift a little early this year, I guess.

After 15 yrs. of outfitting my three sons with LLBean flannel, some of which they are still wearing, imagine my dismay upon opening the bag only to have this flimsy, extremely wrinkled (very expensive) item fall out. Back it went into the bag, I didn't even try it on, and back it goes to LLBean.

Color was great, but pocket construction was poor as three shirts which we returned had holes in them (corners not properly sewn)!

This a nice shirt but does not fit the description advertised . The shirt is made of thin cotton lined with flannel. Way over priced . Returned.

So disappointed in the quality of the fabric and the jacket overall. I bought mine (for men) 4yrs ago and it was thick external flannel and thick fleece inside lining. Thought I would buy my wife a similar since she always wears mine...I was shocked and embarrassed at the quality Llbean makes now...have to rethink buying anything else. Now that I'm living on the West Coast, there's no opportunity for me to shop in-store as before when living on the East Coast...

I ordered a small and was sent a medium- MUCH too big! Tried to contact LL Bean and got no reply. If I don't get the small I ordered or a refund, I'll never shop at L.L. Bean again.

The shirt is toasty warm on the cold winter days. However, with the exception of the snaps on the pockets and sleeves, none of the snaps snap!! Consequently, I cannot close the front. Very disappointing.

I wanted to love this shirt, and was so excited when it was delivered. It was super cozy, just like I had hoped, and I liked the pattern, but unfortunately, two of the snaps ripped off the very first time I tried it on. I just took it to the local store to exchange it, thinking that the poor quality was a fluke, but I just got home and the same thing happen with another shirt...one of the snaps tore off when I was unsnapping it to try on. I'm not freakishly strong or anything so I don't know why it happened with the first shirt, and I was consciously being extra careful with the second, and it still broke. I will be returning it, and I'm really disappointed. This is the kind of quality I would have expected from a knock-off item.
