I recently purchased thes pajamas in dawn blue as I had purchased last year and loved them. This pair is not the same quality. The fabric of the bottoms is very hard and stiff. Washed 3 times in fabric softener and made no difference. Would not recommend. Very very disappointed.

I am 5' 6" tall and have a medium frame, plus I am on the slim side. I received this order and never tried on the top. The bottoms went on first and they were so long, they touched the floor. They are nice looking pajamas but I cannot be tripping over them. Discouraged....everything I ordered is being returned for various reasons. Why do I even bother to order through the mail?

The top was very comfortable and soft. However, the flannel pants were not as soft or flattering as I expected. After reading multiple reviews citing they did not soften when laundered, I decided to send this set back.

I read the description of this product carefully because it is so difficult to find pajamas that are not flannel. The material was described as 100% cotton. I have summer LL Bean pajamas that are 100% cotton that I love, so I was excited to receive them. Unfortunately, the pants of this set ARE flannel. So, if like me, you don't choose flannel, stay away from these pajamas. Hopefully, LL Bean will update the description so others are make a more informed choice.

I like the pajamas. I liked them enough to order another set. Then the cold weather starts and I put them on and loved them. Then I washed them and now they are unwearable. They shrunk so much they are not comfortable anymore. I guess I should have ordered a bigger size but I thought llbean would be of a higher quality. So if you like them order a bigger size.

Items seemed nicely made. No complaints about the top but the bottom were like clown pants! Huge! Me and my daughter could each stand in a pant leg. Returned. Really expect better quality control from Bean. Sad.

So disappointed in the pant material. It is scratchy and rough- I thought I had received them in error from the Middle Ages. (The post office can be slow-but that slow?) The top is fine and soft, except where the same material used in the pants is at the back of the neck. I have washed them numerous times, but no softening yet. I have to close my review now, since my knight in shining armor has come home from the battlefield.

I am a longtime LLBean customer, dating back to the late 80s. This is the first negative review I have ever written about an LLBean product. I was disappointed with these PJs because while the top fit well, the bottoms were too big. Also, I wish the bottoms had pockets.

LL Bean always has good quality material in anything we have purchased. Same in this case. The problem was the top fit but the bottom was way too long and way too big. I had to send the item back and didn't order a replacement.

I was very disappointed in the material of the flannel pants. It did not feel soft and cozy, but rather stiff and coarse. The top was nice and soft. I returned the item.

I choose LL Bean, because the clothes fit me perfectly. This is the first time they have failed me. I ordered Misses SX. The color is attractive, the material soft, the top fit beautifully. Although the pants were labeled SX, there was an obvious mistake; they were HUGE. They did not fit me or my daughter. They fit her husband, who is a man of medium height and weight. Of course, I am returning them, feeling a bit put out that I will have to pay postage to do so.

These are pretty pajamas but the sizing is off and the quality is marginal. Not what I would expect of LLBean. The top was nice quality and ok fit before washing but after washing it became dense and tight, especially skimpy under armpits. The neck tags are scratchy. The pants are huge, long and baggy and the flannel material is stiff and not plush and soft like regular flannel. It doesn't have the regular nap you expect in flannel; it feels more like heavy cotton. Maybe they will soften up over time but the impression is a cheap look and feel. The waist is a hard thin elastic and it stretches out about 10 extra inches from the waist so the pants slip downward dragging on the ground. Can use the drawstrings to tighten, but that makes them even more unflattering and poofy and the elastic alone should have been sized so that a drawstring was not necessary. The huge pants puff out at back, providing an odd unflattering profile, especially with the tight top. Overall, there's just a feel of poor quality. We bought 5 pairs of these pajamas for Christmas presents and are a little embarrassed and disappointed at their sloppy fit and quality.

The quality of the flannel bottoms is very poor. Not at all like my LL Bean flannel pjs from years ago. I plan to return these.

I ordered a misses medium. I Love the top for these pajamas as it fits true to size. However, the pants are huge! The pants are super long and very baggy. I was worried about ordering a medium because I'm in between a medium and a large. There's no way I could have worn a smaller top so a small would not have worked. Very disappointed in the fit.

Bought these PJs as a gift for my wife. Very disappointed in the Quality of the flannel material. Not a hi grade of flannel at all ... stiff and cheap even after washing. I remember when LL Bean was synonymous with Quality. It is a 50 50 proposition on what you get these days.

I already left one review based on washing both and wearing one set of the two I ordered. Unfortunately, I must change my review because the second set is sized much larger than the first. I ordered the Periwinkle and it fits perfectly but the pants in the cream set are HUGE. I measured them against each other and there is a two inch difference in waist and the thighs of the cream are huge compared to the periwinkle. I called customer service and their measurements for the PXL waist is 36.5 inches but what I have in the periwinkle is a 34 inch which fits me but my cream pants measure at 37 inch. Seems to me that the pants in the purple set are really a large but labeled as PXL. I was going to order two more sets but won't now that I can't rely on sizing and the tops may be too small in the size large. I'm going to try and shrink them in very hot water and hot dryer and if that doesn't work, I will return the set. Bummer.

The hem stitching on the top has started to come undone after two washings. The pants are also "itchy" and therefore, not comfortable to wear or sleep in.

I thought the top was lined on the inside with flannel. However, when I got it, I found out only the top part that is revealed in the picture is flannel-lined. Literally everywhere else is just plain cloth except for another small swatch behind the buttons. Basically, they only put enough flannel on the top part to make it look like the entire top shirt is lined with flannel on the inside. That makes the top less warm than a comparable long-sleeved shirt, as the material is also quite thin on the top. I feel deceived. The pants in the set is completely made of flannel, and they are nice and warm.

Received as a gift. Pants are great but the top is terrible. After washing the first time before I even wore it, the shirt stretched out so much at the bottom I don't even want to wear it as pj's. Also noting that the top is not any longer than a normal size even though it is a Tall. The pants did have the extra length expected for a Tall. The shorter sizing for the sleeves would not have caused me to write a poor review, I would have lived with that for pj's. But the review asks for sizing so I'm giving the feedback.

I wore these for YEARS and they were the BEST. I loved that you could wash and dry them without issue and they would stay looking new. However, the new prints and plaids sold last year and this year are so cheap, that they shrink in the wash (never dried them, just line dry) and have shrunk so much that they look and feel ridiculous and are completely unwearable and worthless. Way to go, cheapening and ruining a great product! $80 pajamas that you can't even get a season out of them.

The fabric is not soft. The petite xs is much too large (long and wide!) for a 5-foot, 100-pound person, and chilren's pajama styles just seem silly for seniors. It is understandable that manufacturers sell more large sizes, but there seems to be significant size-inflation/vanity sizing in play here. I am ready to give up on LLBean
